Tallulah smiled back, and gave herself a mental pat on the back. Another day, another person helped! "Studying isn't hard if you know how to do it," she offered enthusiastically.
She looked down at her watch and cringed. She still had homework of her own to do!
"Do you think you've got it now?" she asked.
How did one go about politely putting this...?
"I've got to get home soon," she said. It was not particularly polite, but it certainly wasn't rude. "Call me if you need any more help?" she suggested, partly in consolation for what she hoped would be a speedy exit.

Mili nodded. "I think I've got it on my own. Yes, it is not as hard as I thought it would be. Thank you again for your help, Tallulah, and I will call if I need help."
She could tell Tallulah was in a rush, and really had no problem with her running out. She would stay here though and work on answering the questions. There were less distractions at the library.
"Good bye, and thank you again!"

Tallulah nodded graciously, thankful that even if Mili couldn't do her own homework, she could take a hint. She stood up, slipped her book back into her backpack, and waved.
"See you around," she said, smiling, and then hurried on her way.
