That T-Rex is a trap, man. You think you'll be able to kill it because it's in the beginning of the game, but no. It like annihilates you.
If you need to look at enemies all close up, you can check the Final Fantasy wiki. They have like pictures of every FF monster. c:

 Maybe the T-Rex is really Vaan's mom. I mean, he really doesn't look like Reks, so maybe they found Vaan riding on the T-Rex and 'saved' him.

They probably put it there so that there would be something a little more challenging if you went back to the area when you were higher leveled. The Sauron is what, level 25? And it's green so it won't attack you if you pass by it. They have a couple of higher leveled non-aggressive creatures scattered around the whole world, makes going back to Rabanastre a little less tedious if there's something big to tackle ^^

if the green bar means they won't attack you, then what about the halycons? i mean they attack you either way, go to the ogir yensan sandsea and you'll see what i mean

Entites will only attack you if you use magic while they're near you or you actually attack them, other than that they just float around and look awesome.

The only reason we don't have Viera around these days is because of the damn meteor that took out the dinosaurs. It took them all out, along with Humes, Bangaas, Seeqs, and Moogles. I:<
Damn nature.
Speaking on Entites, how do you pronounce that? Is it like Entity, or N-tight? Lol.

Lol. Or Balthier's final quickening was a bit too powerful......
But yeah. I agree with the earlier statement on having something more challenging as you level up. Luckily, I was smart enough to avoid the thing. Big scary dinosaur? Uh, I'll go somewhere else, thank you very much.

XxGrieverxX I bet it was Sephiroth who made that meteor fall. >:c oh god, and i thought gilgamesh was the only one who affected multiple final fantasy games. then again, we all know that sephiroth and seymour and vayne all go to the same hair dresser, as i thought it was quite obvious when i played through X and XII XDDDDD although i think he went through a bad stage with seymour, and then improved his work on vayne. and the t-rex interrupted my endless grinding at the beginning of the game scream damn t-rex!
