This was my first one:



The most expensive part was the hair. It was the first thing I spent a lot of time earning gold for. I was very excited when I bought it. And then, a month later, I got rid of it for a 800g haircut that I've had ever since. >.<

Then this is my first "real" avatar:



I was so proud of owning two MCs. (Both were gifts.) I even entered it in the arena. >.< After that I started concentrating on buying myself stuff that I liked. Occulus Magica and then Elemental Hair (which I have never ever even used) which fortunately led me to the lovely world of Exchanging. And then I had the gold to buy all kinds of stuff. My avatars improved from there.

XD <3 I love how a lot of the first avatars had animal ears and tails on them. I grew up in an era of Gaia where those items were cool... now I rarely see those items. I guess they're not worn because they've got their "nooby" connotation?


And Zany, wow, that is a good avatar for being on for only two months. o -o

XD <3 And I can relate to the whopping 1.6k for ynattirb's dream. The first item that I actually "quested" was a fairy cloth. It took me a ridiculous amount of time to earn 2.5k. Actually, I was at 2.8k before I could actually bring myself to buy the fairy cloth and part with my gold. I felt so rich. @ .@
And yeah, I did have people telling me that it wasn't a true quest. Well, if it took me a little over a month to earn that gold, I felt justified in calling it a quest. >B

Well, at least i thought so too when I couldn't wait to pair them up.

And Batsi, is your Gaia age really around two months? You have the sense of style of a much older Gaian.

XD I hate how much salon hair costs. I really do. I know it's not much in the long run... but i still don't like spending gold. :B I wish that I didn't mind buying salon hair. I'd change my hair every other week and they styles would all be so pretty. @ 3@ That'd be fun. ...and wasteful. > <

I love old photobucket searches. They bring back lots of old avatars... in very bad outfits. At least they do for me. I lost any early Gaia images I had when a computer died. I didn't care much at the time since I didn't have anything important saved to the computer. ...but now I wish I had those images.

And sorry, it's sort of late. This is me replying to everyone... well, replying to everyone without making a much bigger post out of it. ^^;;;

Thanks. I'm sure I had many horrendous one's before that. I actually knew about tektek before I joined Gaia. That's just the only one i've found. It was actually in my first post in the Avatar Making Guide. XD -goes to check created threads history-

I don't really remember my first dream avi. Except I think it did have ears and a tail. =O

I never got around to completing it.

When I made this account in Sept 05, I wanted to give it an outfit. It was a mule, so it was only supposed to get one outfit and stick to it.




That mistress top was relatively new... XD;
When i couldn't make up my mind on which outfit I wanted the most, I decided that I just wasn't cut out for sticking to one outfit. I never actually quested any of these avatars... and I still wouldn't be able to make any of these outfits with the items in my inventory. Years later.

The same entry contained my uh... wonderful dream avatar plan. Back in the day Kiki was barely 28k, but I never made it - I added Staff of the Angels in the avatar to replace the brush and for some reason I started collecting gold to buy them both at the same time. Indeed, never really turned out... Either way, here's the avatar plan:
