'What in the world is this guy trying to do?!' Nikorai automatically hissed when she went crashing backwards onto the bed and she blinked the remaining tears from her nightmare out of her eyes. Instinct automatically made her unsheathe her claws as she grabbed Aki's arms. "What do you want to do with me? I never did anything to you!"

 »» aкı ηaкagaωa «« Aki flinched as the girl grabbed onto his arms with her claws unsheathed. He didn't mean to do any harm to her, but she was like a wild animal. "Listen. I don't mean to harm you. Just answer my question!" he said, trying not to raise his voice too loud since his parents were down the hallway. "What are you?" he repeated. Now that he thought of it, why was he trying so hard to figure out what she was? Was he trying to help her in some sort of way or was it just his curiosity?

Nikorai tried to struggle against him, her tears now falling freely. When he asked her that simple question, the whole scene of what happened to her just fast forwarded through her mind, making her pause for just half a second as it played through. She gritted her teeth and her face crumpled slightly as she flew into a rage, screaming in her fury and frustration "That's All you want to know! I'm a half cat! I'm half human! I'm a monster! Just leave me be!"

»» aкı ηaкagaωa «« Aki jolted back as the girl screamed furiously. At the word monster, his eyes widened. A monster? Well, it was obvious she wasn't a human, but monster was such a harsh word. He stopped this train of thought and clasped his hand over her mouth. The last thing he needed was for his parents to- "Aki?" A muffled voice came from the hallway. His heart started to beat faster. What if they saw this scene? The things they would think. He quickly removed his hand and pulled the blanket over her head and sat on the bed. His mother opened the door, rubbing her eyes. "Ah, you're awake..." she mumbled, heading towards the bed. Aki twitched. "Mother. Please get out, I need to change."

"Mmmf!" was all Nikorai could say when Aki covered her mouth. She managed to notice the setting moon outside before he covered with a blanket 'Oh shoot, I need to get back to the ocean soon' She was about to claw her way out before she felt him sit or lay on her. Causing her to react with a "Mrow!" She couldn't see, but he heavy. She hissed again and was about to attack blindly when she heard the door open and someone come in. The new voice made her freeze in fear. Being discovered by one guy was bad enough, but even more? No. Unacceptable. It can't happen unless she wanted to commit suicide, which was something she wasn't about to do just yet. But Aki was pretty heavy, it was getting a bit unbearable, so she shifted a bit, to try to get the message across.

»» aкı ηaкagaωa «« Aki heard a 'Mrow!' which scared the daylights out of him. He felt a shift under him and immediately stood up, not wanting to kill the girl. "Mother, I need to change..." His mother twitched her eyebrow but left the room obediently. When she left, he slumped onto his bed again, careful to miss the girl. 'That was close,' he thought, wiping his forehead with his sleeve.

Once she felt the guy stand up and the door click closed, Nikorai quickly slipped out of the bed, as she quickly reached the window. Not caring if she was seen by the guy, she quickly unlatched it and leaped down and out of the house. She looked up at the setting moon and quickly made her way back to the beach, not bothering to check if the guy was following her. 'Oh shoot, I need to get there fast before I change again! How long have I been sleeping? At least I can get away from him while I'm a mermaid, but I can't say for the next night...' She darted in and out of the trees and bushes, arriving at her destination, or somewhere close to it. Instead of being at the bottom, she was on the beach cliff instead. "Oops..." 'Too late to turn around....

»» aкı ηaкagaωa «« Just as the girl unlatched the window, Aki turned around. What was separating them was the bed. He quickly jumped up and leaped over the bed. It would be crazy for him to jump out of a window. It was a different case with the cat girl. He sped out of the room, and down the stairs, and out of the house. He had heard an "Aki, where are you going?" but he ignored it as he pushed through the door. Aki ran around the house to where the window she jumped out was and followed her trail. He was getting tired of this chase, and didn't want the girl to think he was trying to harrass her. He was just... curious. Maybe he shouldn't have questioned her by force. He followed her through the forest, but instead of standing in the sand below, they were on a cliff. He ran towards her, almost cornering her to the edge. "I'm not going to hurt you," he said, trying to make his voice as gentle or calm as he could. Since his voice was always cold it was a difficult task.

Nikorai turned back around at Aki's voice, she noted that the moon had completely set and that the sun was rising. She looked back at Aki and gave him a teasing smile and stuck out her tongue. With that done she allowed herself to fall backwards off the cliff just as the sun peaked over the mountains. She felt herself changing again, her legs and tail solidifying together, and her fur growing shorter and her ears trailed back doown her head. She got the timing right for as she hit the water, her transformation was complete. Instead of going back up, she dived deeper down and looked up to see if the guy was still there.

But he missed her hand and she fell over the cliff. What was she trying to do? Commit suicide? Was she trying to play tricks on him? A smirk crossed his face. She had found the right opponent for tricks. He jumped down after her. Surely she wouldn't stand there and do nothing unless she had no conscience at all. He closed his eyes as he plunged into the water. He lay as if he were lifeless.

'The poor idiot.....' Nikorai sighed, as bubbles floated up to the surface. She swam back up, taking him by the elbow and dragged him along as she swam towards the beach shore. 'Why is he so insistent anyway?' she thought as she pulled him on front of her so that she could push him to shore.

He pretended to cough and slowly opened his eyes. He saw her above him, in a totally different form. A mermaid? Was he going crazy? He rubbed his eyes. Or was this really her? "Thank you," he said, in case it wasn't the aggressive cat girl from before.

Nikorai sighed yet again as she coldly replied, "Same girl, different form now you probably have more questions then before" She gave him a look over, "your a bad liar, your perfectly fine she commented. She turned around to swim back into the sea, but hesitated, should she leave or give this annoying insistent guy the full story so that the next night she won't have to go on a crazy chase around the wood?

"What kind of mutation is that?" he murmured softly. He stared at her and coughed again. "No I'm not..." he insisted. "How can I be fine after jumping fifty feet and plunging into the water. You're just lucky you're a mermaid." When she turned around he grabbed her arm. "Wait... uh..." He tried to build up the courage to apologize. He just wasn't that kind of person. "S-... um... never mind." He let go and leaned back, propping himself up on his arms with a sigh.

Nikorai heaved a large breath out as if she was holding everything she had in. She simply just replied "Cursed....I'm like this in the day, I'm that cat form in the night" She closed her eyes as she dragged her tail back into the water, "Not like I chose to jump off, I'd still be up there if I didn't. Not to mention that I'd be in this form" 'Technically you did chose to jump off, but what the heck, it's be stuck up there like a beached seal.' She heard his protest as she calmly replied, "Your fine and you know it, why don't you just head on your way home and sleep, you have nothing else to do out here"
