"He's tiny" Uzi flickered her ears and wondered what the noises the baby made meant. "What is he saying?" And why did humans have different languages for different ages?

Eli looked down at the infant boy and smiled " He's cute." He wondered of Sam would be just like his father when he grew or more like his mother.

Uzi narrowed her eyes and looked close at Sam, he could smell her? Well perhaps he wasn't utterly crippled then and mildly more interesting than before." They should talk right away so you know what they want." She'd talked right away after all becuase she'd been created that way. Certainly humans should be able to manipulate their own bodies so their children could do that.

Eli just stared at Uzi for a moment before shaking his head, she was strange sometimes. "Probably for the best" it was harder to imagine elle's looks on a boy or Fao's on a girl though he knew it could have happened that way. " Do they get along?" Weren't twins supposed to have some sort of weird connection even as babies?

"How long will it take?" There was an impatient tone to her voice and Uzi's tail swished behind her adding to the sentiment. Who had time to go aroudn guessing what a baby wanted?


"Sure" He wasn't exactly the domestic type but he had to admit he was curious to know what it would be like to hold Sam. Also to see how the baby reacted to being passed around, according to his own father he'd most preferred being held by his grandfather of all people.

"No punching me," Eli warned, a teasing tone in his low voice. The fist was probably less dangerous than the hair pulling if he thought about it, and sort of cute like a puppy rolling and wriggling about before it's eyes opened, trying to suss out it's surroundings.

"Do they sleep normally yet?" His mother had once told him human babies were cute so their mothers didn't regret getting up at all hours to tend to them. She'd been joking but it seemed to be societies general consensus that babies slept at inconvenient times and woke whenever they wanted.


Uzi pondered that for a moment then nodded "Yes and I will be careful." Young things were fragile.

"Ahh makes sense, well at least you get decent sleep yourselves then." Eli figured it was probably good one of the kids was calmer, two demanding twins would put a serious toll on Fao and Elle combined with having two essentics around.

The female alter just shook her head and carefully reached out to take Bel, mimicking the motions and position Eli was currently using. " She's heavier than she looks." Not necessarily a bad thing but not what Uzi had expected, Still she was in no danger of dropping the girl and her body was eerily still as she maintained the ' baby holding' position. " Is there an advantage to being the first twin?" Other than not being at risk for injury that was. Uzi couldn't really sense a difference between the two. Maybe it was a favoritism thing, the elder child was more special.

" I see." She didn't actually but observation had taught Uzi that those words were what people said when they were expressing lack of interest. It was polite and the huntress had enough respect for Zia to give it mildly more respect than most others. Her ears twitched slightly as she listened to the babies breathing so shallow and short compared to an adults. Truly they were just smaller under developed versions of humans.

" Will they grow differently?" That much she had interest in, if the gender difference was large factor in human growth. It certainly did with many other species particularly the ones she preyed upon. With Ziazan spending more time around many human or human like species Uzi assumed they would know.

" I suppose that an advantage of there being two people in a relationship." It was easier to divvy up responsibilities between two people Eli thought.

"Is he differently to you now?" Uzi asked suddenly, her voice just a whisper as she gestured towards Faolan with her tail, while keeping her eyes focused on Bel. Zia's referring to the twins mother as his own had prompted the questions. Was the other essentic less their child now that they had blood ones, was there an obvious difference between the two types of children. Not that Uzi had ever been Family to Eli but she'd noted the difference in the way he interacted with his family versus how he treated her. It was not negative simply different.

" He's not going to puke on me after right?" There was slight bit of concern in the auburn haired man's voice. Blood and guts and bone fragments were fine to be decorating Eli's skin but he didn't do the whole puking thing well.

Uzi nodded at Zia her curiosity satisfied before she directed her attention at Faolan " Aren't females supposed to physically feed the young, you are mammals after all." It was the whole reason female had larger mammary glands than males, even she had them not that she ever intended to bear young assuming it was even possible for essentics to do so.

Eli's eyes went wide and he just sort of stared at Uzi, suddenly regretting teaching her about that even if it had been a necessary part of their hunting lessons. He tried to find the correct words to apologize with but he came up empty.
