He followed her with eyes glittering. The things they had in this house that they didn't have at home! "Well, it is outfitted with all the latest and greatest things, but you can't see them. Everything is cleverly fitted away... but starting outside, did you see the vineyards? Those are our vineyards. We can make our own wine here, or grape juice. And then the gardens, those are quite old. So many pathways through trees and the grounds that we could see when it's not raining... And ah." They had just entered the living area. The very first thing Damian did was point up. " There."

Raquel faltered as she emitted a soft gasp. It was much larger and more elaborate than the ceiling in the library back home. Even despite the gray skies outside, the colors were stunning and just lovely to her.
"It's....so beautiful..." she whispered as she just gawked at the art work above them. "I... I cant live here can I?" She breathed softly, her large young eyes looking to him almost yearningly. For a brief moment she was that shocked young woman standing in front of that large estate back on veratia for the first time. Afraid to step inside, fearing she wasn't worthy to sleep in such a place. But this was more... this could be her and Damian's new home....

"Of course you can!" With a swift flick of a small switch, Damian collapsed the one crutch into a small device he could have strapped to his left wrist. That newly freed arm took up Raquel's, and took her into the other room, which happened to be the kitchen. "And this grand place is the kitchen!" he said, rather grandly himself. "If you don't deserve this place of ease and automation, Raquel, I don't know who does..." Damian looked to her while they stood in the dimly lit room. The sensors soon found their heat and turned on the lights above, sending the whole place into warm illumination. The same light was found in his eyes. "Raquel, you have spent your days, until quite recently, gracing this life of finery but never being apart of it. You can live here every single day of your life once we move in. Every tile, every piece of stained glass, every cushion and peaceful night this place can offer will be yours if you just say that you want it." Before she could speak, Damian silenced her with a kiss. "But only come to your decision when you've seen the whole place." **edited**

Raquel's face had been flushed until Damian's lips graced hers, sending red throughout her cheeks and up her face. She merely nodded shyly and sweetly, holding his hand tightly as she inspected the kitchen.
"I-its quite lovely..." She breathed, trying to be steady and actually give the place a fair inspection. It was just hard to get past the fact that this could be their home. "I-...I love how warm it is...everything so far really..." She smiled softly. She loved their home on Druis, but everything was a bit too.... sterile? She loved this earth toned paradise...

"Isn't it?" Damian was itching to show her the rest of the house, too, but it could wait. The living room had gone over so well that he had high hopes the rest of their nooks and crannies would, too. "The previous owners had the entire house redone. That is why everything looks so new, though the outside is still aged and charming. I thought you might like that... knowing that everything inside is new and won't need to be worried over."

Raquel nodded, finding herself wondering towards the next room subtly. "And...You said the vineyards are ours too? I dont know anything about vineyards or wine...but I'd love to learn... I saw how beautiful they were..." She smiled, looking back at him, eyes utterly shining.
*i'll add vineyard pics later xD*

"Oh, neither do I," he said, laughing. "Well, onto the next room, shall we?" Damian led them them up the stairs, because he knew the second floor was what held most of his favorite places. Other rooms on the first could be explored later. The first place he brought them was a spacious bedroom with some sunshine pouring in through the windows in the ceiling. "Lovely, isn't it? The bedrooms in here are beautiful. I think this one might be for a guest, since the bathroom is small..." The next bedroom he would show her would probably be theirs, but it would also have a hallway that led to a space he wanted to be hers and hers alone...

The guest room astounded her, so she was definitely eager to see the master. "This is...too much..." She murmured under her breath as she reached out to delicately touch a nearby wall with a soft dazzling smile.
"So...this next room is going to be ours?" She asked with a slight smirk playing on her lips as she took his hand sweetly in hers, heading down the hall a bit.

"Ah, so you do want to live here," he teased as he led her into the next room. The next was far larger, with soft but still glorious details. The bed was a king-sized four poster, accented in the same wood that everything else in the room sported. The light that came through the windows was soft, and illuminated not only the room but the hallway that stemmed off from the right side.

Her cheeks were a soft pink as she stepped into the room carefully, biting her lip, smiling slightly. "its so...perfect...." She whispered, wondering over to one o the windows where the warm light of the late afternoon bathed her in its glow. The dark clouds were still lingering but fading in places, casting beautiful shadows over the landscape. "Ah....Damian..." She looked back at him, her eyes a little cloudy and dark. "This place... it has a good feeling..." She smiled softly. "It... feels safe..." She looked down at her feet, not realizing how important that really was to her.
Her eyes lightened as if her Amranthine side was satisfied with this place as well, though she knew there was much more to see. "...What's up ahead?" She asked, coming back to his side, looking down the hallway towards the other parts of the house.

Damian took a seat on the bed to rest his knee. After the stairs, it was hurting again, and he needed to stay put for a few moments.
"Why don't you go and find out?" he said slyly, already knowing what waited for her: her studio. "I'll be with you in a moment." Damian made a bit of a show of rubbing his knee and making stern faces at the offending joint. He would get up and sneak in to see her reaction to the large room, filled with light and filled with empty shelves and drawers. It could be for art, music, dancing. Anything the creator within wanted it to be.

Raquel smiled ever so slightly, knowing that tone of voice too well. I was always followed by a wonderful surprise. She made hr way down the hall before coming to a lovely door, that you had to step up a step or two to enter. She Opened the door carefully, revealing a large and currently empty studio with a large window against one wall, dark hardwood floors, and shelves against one wall. "Oh....my...." She gasped softly- hands hovering above her lips as her eyes watered a bit, a tear even making its way down her cheek. She made her way into the room until she was standing in the center, alone though just still. She was smiling to herself, silently picturing her guitar, and music, and overall art into this space... She found herself gravitate towards the window, where it was clear to see that the ivy had wound its way up this far on the house and was surrounding the large window. It had a breath taking view of the gardens and even the walkways off towards the vineyards. She swallowed slightly, her fingertips tracing the windows frame, then along the wall slightly as she backed up, staring up in awe at everything.

Damian had snuck his way into this little scene when she was busy with the view outside. He knew she would love it. Even if it had been presumptuous, he had known she would adore every inch of the house. Raquel would have been content in a regular home as well, but she deserved better. And, saying yes to marrying him, she would be carried along in his fine tastes.
"So what do you say, Raquel?" He wrapped his arms around her middle. Both of his crutches had been left behind on the bed. "Is this the house of your dreams? We have yet to see the library, and one of the den areas... little alcoves here and there. But they can wait, if you want."

Raquel inhaled sharply at his touch, surprised, but happy. "Damian...it really is just so... perfect...." Her voice choked on the word. She tilted her head back slightly, wanting to kiss him so badly, but just settling for her lips brushing against the sides of his face softly.
"E-everything just seems....to fit me... as if it were made for me, though much more splendid than I had ever even imagined...." She whispered to him, trying not to get emotional. She lifted a hand to bring his face down near hers in this hugging position. "But Darling...is it you?" She asked sincerely, her green eyes suddenly troubled as they took him in from the side.

Damian, too, wanted to kiss her, so he let his arms drop gently from her hips so he could move around her. "It is. I could not bare to live in a place that I did not in some way like. There are certain places in here, though, that I love, and so I adore this house as well."
That being said, he also loved her, so Damian dropped his words so he could kiss her like he'd been wanting to during the entire visit.
