Zee remembered something. A book. Thali had said something about a book. He looked over at Aaron. "I've heard of that book," he said, before taking a deep breath. "A friend of mine told me about it several years ago. I don't remember the title, but..." He remembered the names. Howl and Sophie. They'd always been together. They fought, which was usually comic relief. "I remember the characters."
Howl took both the lemonade and the cookie, and gave Jaella a brave smile. "Tank you," he said, before breaking the cookie in half. He fed half to Calcifer, who ate rather loudly. The toddler on the other hand ate with a polite air, nibbling at the cookie and taking small sips of lemonade.

Aaron just nodded. But, that was just a book, right? Then again, this WAS Darcy they were talking about. Still.... "I'll have to read up on it." he said, his tone betraying a hint of curiosity. Most intriguing...
Jaella smiled lightly. "You're welcome." she said, taking a seat on the cool cave floor. She set the cookies out infront of her, smiling to both the fire demon and the child. "Help yourself~" she said, taking one for herself and eating it in about two bites.

Zee nodded, and glanced at the toddler and his firedemon. "Well, if you don't have anything more to tell me, I think I should get these two to bed. It's awfully late for a toddler to be out--even if he's from another world." He explained, before looking to Jaella. "I hope to see you soon, Jae. It's always nice to hear from a friend."
With that the dark elf scooped the toddler up. Howl squirmed, and tried to escape. "Lemme go!" The toddler cried, kicking his legs helplessly.
"You don't have anything else to say, do you?" Zee asked hopefully.

Aaron shook his head. "No, there isn't much else I had to say..." he said, frowning. He wasn't used to this; not knowing about a child they were shoving onto someone else. Why did Darcy have to choose now to sleep?
Jaella patted Howl's arm. "It's okay, you'll be alright." she said, trying to calm to upset toddler." She then looked up to Zee, offering a small smile. "Tell Miss Stasia I'll be seeing her soon." she said, nodding once.

"No powers or anything like that?" Zee asked suspiciously. He knew of his nieces 'powers' due to Darcy's magic. He paused, and went pale, looking to Jaella.
"You mean... I knew she was pregnant!" He cried, before shaking his head. "The way she was eating gave her away." Then he paused again, and frowned. "But we haven't done anything!" If it wasn't his baby, whose was it? He'd kill them.
Howl calmed down and let Zee balance him on his hip. "Kay. Thee me thoon, kay? Promith."

Aaron shifted uncomfortably under the adult's gaze. "Now, I didn't say anything of that sort." he said. He then blinked as he paled, a confused look spreading across his face.
Jaella blinked, then giggled. "Silly, that doesn't matter! Mom and Dad had a hand in it~" she said, as if it were obvious. "Don't worry, the father they picked should make a cute baby. Mom said so." She had no idea that she was just making things worse. She then looked to Howl, nodding. "Promise." she said, offering a smile.

Zee suddenly scowled. "I'm not the father?" He demanded, glaring in Jaella's direction. "Doesn't Darcy have any respect for morals?! Argh. As long as it's not that stupid fae, Matthias. I don't trust him." And so the dark elf started on a long rant about disliking Matthias and how the baby better not be his. "I don't see why the baby couldn't have been mine," he grumbled. "I'd make just as cute of a baby as any other guy. I have Devin to prove it." Argh. Stasia's baby had better not be Matth's, because if it was... Stupid fae knocking everyone up!
He paused in the middle of his rant, remembering what Risa had said about Aaron. He'd scared her. He gaped at him for a moment, before closing his mouth, obviously still fuming. Then, when he decided he was calm enough to speak, "From what I know of the other kids you've made here, they all have powers. Is he an exception?" He gestured to Howl.

Jaella frowned. "Don't talk about Mom like that." she said, standing a bit straighter. "Mom has morals! She has to have a good reason, so don't question her!" She crossed her arms, pouting much like a five year old would in an argument.
"Now, now, calm down Mr. Zulpen." Aaron said calmly, looking at the adult. "My sister has her reasons...she simply chose whom she saw the girl, Stasia, was it? Anyways, she chose the person she saw around her most. I don't think she knew that you to were mates until after it was said and done." He looked to Howl. "I don't know." he answered, honestly. "I wish I could give you an answer, but..." The boy simply shrugged.
