Why is it that it seems to be a ******** requirement of being a Pagan to be a self-deluded, self-obsessed ignoramus with a persecution complex?! No wonder everyone thinks we're ******** flakes who bounce around covered in ******** sparkles!
STOP your ******** whining! Stop your pathetic bitching about your omg SO HORRIBLE life with your parents who only ask that you ******** LOVE them enough to give them a little ******** courtesy!
Stop your utterly idiotic self-righteousness! You are not a warrior for Goddess! You are a horrible, horrible person and you cause me PERSONAL OFFENSE. You OFFEND ME, on a personal level, with your ignorance and your inexcusable behaviour!
AND YOU. You arrogant little child. You don't know a goddamn thing beyond the sites I ******** linked you to, and you're lucky I did that, so don't ******** try to tell me that you're this or that. Try actually studying - ********, try PRACTISING the actual religion before you claim to be a ******** adherent. Take your half-assed new age bullshit, make incense out of it, light it, and stick it up your a**. I do not want to hear your asinine assertions via PM, and I know for a goddamn fact that you would have posted them in guild had the threads not been locked. Stab yourself in the eye.
Yours in rage, San.

*Giggles* That actually made me laugh some. No disrespect meant of course. In a way I agree with you Cruenta. I don't think it is ok for some one to read things on the interne for about a year and call themselves a Wiccan. The way I see it. If you are in a Covan you are a Wiccan, if you are not you simply are not a Wiccan. Wicca is a religion of Priests and Priestesses not angsty teens. Nora is it full of light and happiness. In it Good balances out Evil and vices-versa. Also take into account the rule of thrice. What ever you give you will get back three fold. These basic ideas seam lost in this "new age" of Wicca. I am not Wiccan, I am an aspiring Witch, but I think if you are truly interested in something you should take the time to understand it. Side Note: Magic has no 'k' in my Book of Shadows.

While that is indeed often the subject of my vexation, Pixie, in this case I was actually talking about a different religion entirely! ^_^ One which isn't even orthopraxic. This person just up and decided they were the religion in question after about a week reading about it or something. Wtf. Sure you're interested in it, studying it, aspiring to it. Don't call yourself one until you're reasonably secure in your practise.

*Head desk* Yeah, I should learn to read entire threads. I'm sorry. A-a week? Wow. That's ... Wow. I've been studying Traditional Witchcraft for three years and would not even think of calling myself a Witch. Though if is was something very open to new comers like Christianity I can see that going down smoother. Was is an open practice?

More or less, as I understand it.
But you practise witchcraft? What do you call yourself, then, if you practise witchcraft but are not a witch?

An aspiring Witch. I don't feel like I have earned the right to call myself a Witch just yet. Some one that has been studying for as long as I have and defines themselves as one hasn't be reading the write material. :3

But if you're an aspiring witch, a witch is what you aspire to be. What are you now?

That's good question. Something I don't spend alot of time thinking about. I have so much hope invested in my future I often over look my here and now. I guess I would call myself a Traditional Witchcraft practicer. That's not assuming to much or so little right?

The only requirement to be a witch is that you practice witchcraft (I thinks..). I've been studying for 6 years and I still feel like I know nothing. I don't think time will ever change that. There will always be something new to learn. I think it's okay if you call yourself a witch, pixie. To call yourself one doesn't mean that you are an expert at everything magical. But if you feel more comfortable waiting until a certain point to call yourself one, that's fine too. Just that most of us would probably already see you as a witch, even if you yourself don't.

I agree with kage. One doesn't have to be particularly learned or accomplished to be a witch. One doesn't have to be a particularly good witch either; the only requirement I can see is being a practitioner of witchcraft.

Hum. So you have been studying for 6 years and still feel that way kage? I guess a witch never stops learning. You say most of you would see me as a witch then. That's comforting in a way. The spells in my book of shadows that I have done I'm pretty confident in and I'm responsibly skilled with herbs. I'll refer to myself as a witch for the next few days and see if it sits ok.

I'm always learning! I've been practicing for 17 years, and it never ends. Even my high priesthood and elders say the same thing...and they've got years and years on me. smile

Really? That's something. I love the idea of studying a craft and there always being more you can learn. 3nodding

I've also heard it said "Stop learning - start dying."
