The 'see that you do' look Lyveana gave Veyes was plain for all to read, but she otherwise refrained from further comment when the lad went back to minding his food. T'loa's arrival was a welcome distraction, since it was rather difficult to stay in a sour mood when the tall bronzerider was being his usual lackadaisical self. Between Mella and A'dan with their fruits, and now T'loa with his, she finally did grin. The fruit tithe must have been very good! Hopefully it would make up for the stew.

"Ruinnth is doing well, thank you for asking A'dan, T'loa." She said, bringing her mug to her lips to hide the slight smile. Her gaze flickered to Mella when she mentioned Cresth's weight, one eyebrow arched inquiringly.

"Would having him fly point the next few drills help you with him Mella? He'd have to work harder to break wind." She asked, placing her mug back on the table.

Mella twirled her spoon in the remains of her spoiled stew as she nodded slowly,“ That could help.”

Despite being grumpy and lazy Cresth usually did as Mella requested. The problem Mella had with Cresth was that he wanted his extra work to be justified, and he didn’t consider his weight to be reason enough. Cresth did, however, understand the necessity of drills, so she suspected that, at least according to Cresth’s logic, a harder drill position would be more acceptable then additional exercise outside of drills. Although he’d ultimately be doing the same amount of work, Cresth would be unlikely to realize it and thus be happy.

At the idea of a happy – well, happier – Cresth, Mella allowed the corners of her lips to twitch upward slightly. “ A good idea, Wingleader. I believe that would work.”

Diverting her attention from Mella for a moment, Lyveana rummaged through the pouch she kept belted at her side, finally pulling out her most recent (and most expensive) acquisition. Not much too look at, the crudely bound book was small enough to fit in the palm of her hand, but the little ruddy brown journal had become invaluable since it's purchase at a Lemos gather that winter. What had made it expensive was more then the paper within it, however. The little book was bound in such a way that even a nonCraftsman like Lyveana could refill the pages just by purchasing paper of similar size.

Naturally, the efficiency of the little thing was not lost on the greenrider, so she had not begrudged the loss of nearly a full four sevenday's pay. She used it mostly to organize her thoughts, like she did now. Scribbling a few notes, she made sure to write why Cresth would be flying point, and an additional note to monitor his progress afterwards. Finished, she closed the little book and left it on the table, resting her hands on it.

"Good. We'll start you both in that position tomorrow morning then, just make sure to let me know when he tires." She started, thinking quickly for a moment. "Ruinnth and I will switch off with you throughout the drill, she could use the strengthening as well." She continued, though she did not bother to write that down. "Which reminds me, tomorrow's patch of sky has had some bizarre reports of unseasonably strong thunderstorms springing up without warning." She said, addressing A'dan and T'loa as well. "I'll make a note of it in the flight plan, but we all might want to have our rain leathers with us just in case."

Pausing, she picked up her mug again and took a sip, knowing that she had better just get the whole transfer thing over with.

"Also, I am sure you all have heard, but R'than, A'ras, and Z'ven were among those who decided to transfer with Favan." She stopped again, reining in what she wanted to say in favor of being politically correct. "They will be missed, and we will be flying wing-light until the proper replacements have been selected."

"Ah?" Raising his head now that he'd been addressed, A'dan looked up from the flit currently holding his attention, and grinned at T'loa with a pleased look. "Sigranth and I are well. I hope yours is in good spirits." Tipping his head with a pleasant grin, the bronzerider pried Seabird's little claws out of his tunic again.

"Thunderstorms all around, it seems," he commented, looking back to Lyveana when their wingleader spoke. "Literally and figuratively." For the most part, he was going to reserve judgment on the transfers. Sipping at his drink, A'dan let a moment pass. "Have you a plan for covering the holes, or will we be pretending there are still riders in them until we've had them filled? We should be careful about such things."

That was a mouthful for the usually remarkably succinct A'dan, and he fell quiet, looking up to Lyveana for the answers with sandy brows raised beneath a soft nest of golden curls.

N'ron would be sliding into the table as unostentatious as he could be. He brought no food with him, but there was a mug of klah in his hand as he took a seat next to the nearest rider. It seemed as if he could not have gotten here at a better time, as the Wingleader was just starting into some serious talk. Ah... Yes, he'd heard about the transferring wingriders, and he couldn't say he wasn't a bit amused. Proud dunderheads- good riddance to rubbish, he'd say. Especially that R'than, who seemed as haughty as any bronzerider and, if rumors were to be trusted, quite a womanizer. Not that such things were unheard of or even frowned upon in his experience, but there was a certain amount of discretion to be had in those matters or else it was just crass. The wingsecond had proved to have breeches far bigger than he really could hope to fill.

The older man -now the oldest in the wing, perhaps, he thought morosely- sipped delicately at his klah and listened as bronzerider A'dan went about asking questions. For now, N'ron chose to be silent and let the questions filter through the others. If, at the end, something had been missed, he'd make mention of it.
