Memory? But memory could only do so much, and Oath was so certain that she had neglected her powers enough that they could not become substantial, not warm. How easily Star Seeker approached them! She gave a small, soft laugh at his words - how true they might be, to have her expression fixated so! When was the last time she had laughed or smiled in the company of flesh-and-blood wolves? ah of course.

She must be dreaming.

That was the answer. of course. How simple? So Oathkeeper allowed herself to continue this happiness, and thus she did not have a second heartattack when a pale green and sparkling form she knew very well also toddled onto the scene. And a second scent, also memory-taking, vaguely tinged with metal. Ah yes, yes, they wre all gathering now . . . "Hello again, Fairy Harp," Oath greeted him with a motherly smile, as if she had only seen him yesterday off and annoying her father with his music. Only . . . "Oh, you're missing your pan flutes? We should look for them sometime, you silly goose. And . . ." She lifted her head to the other side of the riverbank, where the metallic scent had floated from. "And don't stand off to the side like a loner, Hero. Come, come!"

Before Star Seeker got a reply from OWA, he felt a great force slam into his rear end which took him off balance for the old wolf was rather lanky and had no bulk to really stand up to such a blow. He clumsily side stepped and then flung his head about to stare accusingly down at the green wolf that had just rammed into him. He snorted softly, what a surprise, even after these months alone Fairy Harp had not gained any form of sense. A curious thought flowed to him as to how the clumsy, mischievous wolf ever managed to stay alive. ‘Hello Fairy Harp.’ He said almost disdainfully, then he shook his head and smiled softly, it wouldn’t be the same if they had all changed. In answer to the musical wolf he rolled his blue eyes sky wards and then stared back down at the wolf crumpled on the ground, ‘Well, as you can see, it’s raining.’

He turned to look at Oath then as she greeted Fairy Harp as well and then also she pointed out another face which was familiar to him, Hero. He nodded his head in greeting to Hero, his usual warmth momentarily lost as a concerned frown formed upon his forehead. He turned back to Oath and asked her softly, ‘Oath, are you all right, you seem somewhat...’ he searched for a word, visually swilling them about in his mouth before sounding, 'dreamy?' He stuck his cool wet nose to hers, just to show she actually was awake.

Hero simply couldn't believe his eyes - but a quick scenting of the air told him that no..they weren't deceiving him, the scattered remnant of his pack did indeed seem to be straight across the river from him! Joy in his heart the thick ruffed male gave a few wags of his tail and started forward to cross the river and join them, but his ears flicked back slightly and a slight twitch developed beneath one of his eyes..was that a faint..and much disliked jingling her head coming closer?...no it couldn't be, certainly not he told himself as he continued foreward, front paws dipping into the water. He couldn't be both that lucky...and unlucky all at the same time.

Winner sped through the forest, dark hide slipping through the shadows like an oil slick on water, almost soundless if it wasn't for the slight jangle coming from his back paw. If he wanted too the beast knew he could silence this noise..but why bother? he was good enough to deal with whatever was in front of him...forewarned of his arrival or not.

Of course what he had scented on the wind was hardly something he'd need to worry with, that soft-hearted second rate wolf wasn't even a remote threat and Winner not for the first time wondered why he had bothered changing course when the metallic scent of Hero had crossed his nares, no matter no really as he drew closer Winner had realized that hero was not the only wolf he knew ahead..several others congregated almost like old and pushing through the treeline Winner found himself nearly face to face with them across the river..and the welp Hero in front on him.

Can't have that he told himself and increased his stride shouldering Hero aside with a gruff "Outta the way" and sending a satisfying splash back at his face when he lept past and bounded through the water with hardly a effort.

"Get out of my way..its get.out.of.my.way" Hero muttered mostly to himself as the darker wolf rushed past, sending him staggering sideways and regaining his feet just in time to get a face full of muddy river water. The muscle under his eye twitched again and Hero sighed as he shook his head and morosely followed in Winners tracks. "A warning might have been nice.."

With another apology given to Star Seeker for his lack of elegance, Fairy Harp let out a strangled whine at the mention of his lost pipes. His ears folded back. He gave his muzzle a quick rub as he slunk back to his paws. He offered Oath a sheepish, yet sad, grin.

"It seems the fight took them from me," he whined strolling behind the larger wolf almost straight in from of Winner. With a sharp yelp, he barrel-rolled out of the way and into the cold water. Raising his head, he saw Hero in the water, the same as him. But unlike Hero, Fairy Harp did not think of himself strong enought to stand against Winner.

"At least I got my weekly bath," Fairy muttered to himself before rising up from the bank muck.

It seemed as though Oath had barely registered Star Seeker's question, though she did blink owlishly when their noses became pressed together - cold on cold, wet on wet. Her lids fluttered for a moment, a small shiver running down her spine as she pulled her head back with soft laughter, now eyeing poor Fairy Harp as Winner almost ploughed him down in his race to get with the others first. "Now, now . . . We aren't going anywhere, I promise," Oathkeeper told them in her soft, motherly voice. Really, it was like handling pups sometimes even if they were grown boys; not that she loved them any less for it, though she wished she could get through to Winner about his attitude issues that came up often with the other members.

Oath then turned her gaze to Fairy Harp with a little giggle. "Of course you would lose something. We'll go look for it together some day after we all settle down. Oh . . ." A small and confused frown lit her face for a moment, then the dreamy smile returned once more as she glanced over her shoulder. "I think another one is returning to us . . ."

What Oath heard was a rather familiar grumbling most would be able to name by heart by now: Spellbinder's thoughts spoken aloud. Today she was extrordinarily pissed about having to play messenger girl, and it was only because Ultima was still in recovery that she would allow herself to sink so low as to gather the flock and lead them to their alpha. Mind you, sometimes when he tried to speed up the healing process he only made it worse, which just prolonged their stay in that damn den . . . Men. Honestly.

"Yes, yes, we're all nice and in the cozy," Spellbinder said, forgoing introductions to get this done as quickly as possible, trotting right up to them. "Now, let us do with the taking to you to Father, da? He's been waiting for many moons now, and the wounds are healing. I tire of his moods." No explanation as to how she found them, no "hey, how are you guys", no anything. She looked as if she might need a nap soon, how irritable and tired she seemed.

"Father? O-Okay . . ."

Water. It was the calming force that kept Abyss company since before everything had fallen apart in the war. It called to her, made her feel at home no matter where she was. She was so much like the water, ever her blue coat seemed to mimic the same blue swirls of water, dotted with shells and sand colored paws. But that was also her curse, to look so much like the water, holding off of it's beauty within her fur and for what? She was alone, had been along for a long time now. If it wasn't for that little Gullwing. Don't go down that path again, she chastised herself. As much as she despised Gullwing, and Crabclaw for that matter, they were still siblings. Half-siblings, she corrected herself again. She would never call them true siblings. For they were not.

Padding her way along a very familiar river Abyss reveled in the coolness of the water on her legs. The sound the water made as it splashed beneath her paws. How long had it been since she was last here? Far too long and yet not long enough. The string of pearls that sat atop her head bounced gently as she moved along the river. Her eyes scanned up ahead for any sign of those she knew. Was that - movement and a bit of color caught her attention. Could it be? After all this time, they were here? She came to a stop, giving her body a shake to flatten out her fur. Couldn't show up looking all ragged now could she. Once satisfied that her appearance was more than just acceptable Abyss continued along in the river towards what was ahead her pace a bit faster than before.

Slowly her eyes focused on one and then two wolves. She felt like she was dreaming as even more came into sight. No longer would she be alone. The idea was both refreshing and a bit saddening. She enjoyed the pack she once had and yet, being alone was what she craved some days. It was like a balancing act to get a little bit of both. As more wolves came into focus she searched among the faces for the two she hoped to not see. Good, Gullwing and Crabclaw were not here. She straightened herself up a bit more, with her attention stealing sister absent maybe for once Abyss would get the attention she always thought she deserved. And so she closed the gap between hweself and the gathered wolves, though she did not stray from the river, it would give her the strength she needed to ensure whatever was to come next.

The dark male looked around at the amassing others, his bright eyes narrowing slightly. Alone for some long and to find himself suddenly surrounded by wolves, wolves he had once been together with, a pack with a bond as strong as any other. His shuffled on his paws, the older wolf stared at the others, from the old Seer, the bright and flamboyant Harp, Hero, Binder and the others. His head began to spin slightly and he was forced to shake himself a little, shaking out his fur from nose to tail tip.

Shaking himself brought him back a little, but a slight sense of nerve still lingered in his gut at being so surrounded. It was almost more than he could handle when Spell Binder spoke of Ultima, OWA thought the pack had been destroyed, gone, forgotten, broken forever and never to be pieced back together and here so many of them where as though brought together by some strange string of fate that was beginning to consume him, drowning him in more mind static than he believed he could handle.

Backing away from the group in order the breath and older male sat back and just stared around at the others. He wondered if he was ready, ready to accept the possibility of pack life again, after so long wandering as nothing more than a old veteran of pack wars, an old lone, wandering for the sake of wandering with no meaning or purpose for such. He closed his eyes again, seeing himself younger, stronger, faster, and the pack that he had once known, proven his worth and great loyalty to, and here they were before him again, their leader calling them back, home, together at last.

"Let us go, Ultima will not like to be kept waiting much longer." he spoke up finally, his voice stronger. He stood up and raised his tail and maw, he may not have been completely ready, but he had better start soon, eventually the shock would wear off and he would prefer it to be in the company of the Alpha.
