"Oh..." She supposed that was strange, but maybe the door just liked company.
As the Foto floated towards her, she tilted her head as it came to rest at her feet. Had someone just shoved a picture from under the door? Why would they do that?
She bent down and picked up the picture, stared at it for a moment, then flipped it over, seeing if anything had been written on the back.
Maggie held it up to Wylde. "Well, whoever took it was a terrible photographer," she said.

He laughed a bit at her words and folded his hands behind his back not taking the Foto into his own hands and shook his head, "No the magic of the door decided to give you a gift, it isn't for me to keep," Wylde said simply as if that explained everything including the very bad photography.
"Of course if you don't want it that is fine, I suppose I could find someone else to give the gift to, I am sure the door would understand," there was a sad, almost disappointed tone to his voice.
Wylde turned and then moved to take up the set of documents and a pen before he offered them to her quietly, "If you do decide to keep it please do sign this?" he asked with a small tilt of his head.

"Oh!" Maggie smiled at the door. "Thank you, Mr. Door!" she said sweetly but deliberately, as though she were talking to a 4 year old child who had just handed her a page of scribbles.
"Um...sure," She was pretty carefree, but Wylde was starting to make her wonder how strange he could get. She needed to sign for an out of focus picture? Okaaay...
"It's not some sort of life insurance thing, that you'll kill me over later, right?" she asked, laughing as she picked up the pen and scribbled her name quickly across the bottom of the document.

He laughed with her and shook his head, "That'd be a bit too obvious, no, this is a document that says that the Foto is under your custody and whatever happens to it is your responsibility," he said thoughtfully as he plucked up the paper, "because to be honest with you, the picture the door just spit out, well a lot of them turn into beings," Wylde shrugged a bit, "I don't have a whole lot of control over it."
Which was mostly true.
"Though that doesn't mean I won't help you out if you come back and need me to do if things should progress," he added as an afterthought.

Most people probably would have been distressed by the news of a surprise child. It didn't bother Maggie too much, however. It had happened a few other times before, why should she get mad over it now?
"Oh! That must be why the new room is still empty. The house didn't know how to decorate it for the person yet."
She looked back down at the picture. "So I probably shouldn't put things on top of it, then?"
Speaking of beings..."Oops...I forgot I left Cindy in charge at home. She's probably getting anxious by now. I guess I'll just run down the road, if I have any problems." she laughed. "It's not that far, after all."

"I wouldn't suggest it," Wylde chuckled a bit when she observed that she shouldn't put things on top of the Foto and then nodded when she said that she had to flee back home, "of course, that's why you signed a contract."
Really? It was the only way to get Wylde to take a small bit of responsibility for whatever happened and needed to be taken care of. It was the one thing that was beaten into his head growing up. You don't go back on your word and you don't break contracts no matter how much you want to, finding loopholes, now that is a different manner entirely.
"I'll see you later," he said quietly as he let her find her own way upstairs. Today he had to do some sort of 'organizing' and that also seemed a better way to spend his time now that he got the mischief out of his system. In fact he started to work on organizing his work space before the woman had left.

Maggie tucked her skirts close to her, making sure they didn't swish too much as she hurried past Wylde (although in her mind, it would have been very funny to see the papers flying as she went by).
"Ok, bye then!" she said, as she exited out the front door.
Time to introduce the Foto to the family!
