I'd say FF10. I loved the storyline, the graphics were amazing, and most of the characters were bearable -- even though it wasn't my first Final Fantasy game, it was the one that mainly got me into the series. FF8 was good too, though, plot-wise; and although I never got around to finishing it, 9 was interesting ^^

Hey its my first post so if anyone wants to be my friend plz p.m me.
Anyways on to topic
I always thought FFV was one of my favs cus of its longavity and depth and FF7 was lik really good cus t made ya think so much then FFX was just awesom cus it looked good.
My fav tho would hav to be FF7

Story line is the most important to me and i think that VI and VII had the best story line. So would have to say they are my favorite.

Trey Alvari Story line is the most important to me and i think that VI and VII had the best story line. So would have to say they are my favorite. Agreed FFVI and FFVII all the way. Final Fantasy VI back when it was III became one of the my favorite games right away along with CT.

this is like kinda difficult but id have 2 say- FFX. best story line ever+awsome graphics+awsome gamplay= the best game i ever bought. This threads made me wanna go on it actually.... wink

Personally I think that FFV just beats the original FFII.
FFV is so great because you get to custom make your own characters with their own abilities. The job class system was great and it made X-2s dressphere system look like a joke.
FFII is great because of it level system. I like the leveling system... it was unique.
If i had to make a order of best to worst it would be as follows.
1)FFV
2)FFII
3)FFVIII
4)FFIV
5)FFIX
6)FFVI
7)FFX/FFX-2
cool FFI
9)FFVII

I'm in love with FF9. It's the only Final Fantasy that I have even thought about replaying. I'm in the middle of my second time through ^_~

so many votes for 9 and X o.O... it's amazing. But then again, i suppose better graphics, monkey boys, and cross dressing male whores does it for people these days...
Sorry, just my opinions ^_^... please don't let it bother you too much.
And as for storyline... i've stil lgot to say that 6's storyline is better than the others. I don't know why exactly... but... they just have so much more depth for each character. They go off into their own little storylines really... and in all essence... it was so much fun.
The characters actually were different. Sure, they could all learn the same magic basically, but at least they were all fun to play and use. And unlike 7, 9, or X... 6 offered a challenge in gameplay...

Most people say that FF7 isnt just the best of the FF's, but the greatest game of all time.
