Hellhound didn't make a sound after that. Once they got to a clearing the lizard pointed at the grass in the clearing, trying to tell the little one to eat.

It wasn't long that the monarch stallion regain his consciousness. Once he did he was relieved that the little thing wasn't around, its egg was but the creature was not. Snorting he rolled to his hooves and pushed himself up. Now where did Hellhound go, he just wanted to leave and quickly before the little colt came back.

The colt followed the strange creature that the larger had been trying to carry off. When it stopped he just about stepped on it, looking out into the clearing... He didn't see anything that looked like 'food' just strange green stuff coming from the ground. Was that what it wanted him to eat, that strange green stuff? Head tilting a little he took a step forward, that it seemed he were stepping over the strange critter before him, Jadyn sniffed at the green stuff before looking comically back.

"This stuff?" He asked looking back to the grass, pawing at it a little, it certainly didn't 'look' appealing...

Jadyn stepped forwards a little further, head lowering to sniff at the grass. Why eat this stuff? It didn't seem like it would be very good... Looking back again, he was really hungry and this stuff didn't seem like it would be enough. Then again, he wanted his momma, where ever she was.

The large stallion regained consciousness just a few moments after the two had left this little clearing to another. His yellow eyes scanned the clearing, good the little bugger wasn't around, but where had Hellhound gone to. Rolling to his hooves he shook himself. Cadeyrn then wandered off looking for his little lizard friend.

The quetzil nodded. Yes that stuff what else are you looking for? It was all his large companion ate anyways, that and the occasional berries which the found on their journeys

Jadyn looked repulsively at the grass as he pawed at it again. He was still really unsure of what to make of it all... Lowering his head, he tore at a few blades and rolled them about in his mouth. Blah! They tasted nasty! He almost spat the stuff out, but chewed and swallowed. Taking a few more mouthfuls of the grass, just to please the little critter, Jadyn looked around where they were. The area wasn't all that big, a small clearing to say the least. Already the scents of other Kirin smacked his nose, so many had passed through here. Perhaps only stopping to get something to eat? Did ALL his kind eat this stuff? He couldn't see why they would put up with the bland tasting stuff.

Having quelled his stomach, for the moment, Jadyn looked back towards Hell Hound. This time he really looked the Quetzil over, noting the flames along its tail and the skull on its face. Puzzled he wandered over to it and sniffed at the skull, not quite understanding that there was a face beneath that mask. After a couple moments Jadyn looked around again, thinking that maybe they should head back to see if mister was alright.

"You think we head back now?" he asked tilting his young head to one side. "Mister might be awake again."

Hellhound backed up a bit in instinct, after all not long before he had gotten kicked in the fact but this one so he was a bit cautious.

It wasn't before long that Cadeyrn had stumbled back upon the two. Even so with out making himself known he stuck to the trees, pushing back his memories which seemed to seep back in to his mind. Why couldn't his companion just leave the little thing alone? Alone. Its how he was most of his life, till he meet Hellhound, even so his companion wasn't much of conversation. No he couldn't leave this little thing alone, he won't let him go through the same thing he did. Abandonment. Even so he has no clue on how he's suppose to raise it.

Even though this might be a new experience it was worth a shot, raise the thing until it grew up enough to look after itself. Maybe if this worked out and he would be able to stand the sight of children, maybe, just maybe he can find the right women and settle down with her. He shook his head pushing that thought from his mind. He was thinking to much into the future, he had to work on the here and now first before anything else. "Hellhound," He spoke his voice had a hint of nervousness to it, even so he made himself known anyways.

Jadyn watched as the critter backed away from him, was there something wrong? Glancing over his own shoulder, he didn't see anything behind him. Head tilting, Jadyn looked back towards the critter before him, he was going to say something before someone called to it. Hellhound? Was that it's name? Magenta eyes blinking a couple of times, he scanned the trees hunting for the owner of the voice.

"Mister, is that you?" he called stepping closer to Hellhound, peering closer to the shadows. One eye happened to close for a moment as she spotted something behind the trees. "Mister?"

Jadyn wandered into the trees, past Hellhound and towards where the older stallion happened to be. Head lifting up, he peered at him smiling a bit, happy to see that he was alright. "Mister, it is you." Jadyn grinned from ear to ear as his tail flicked behind him. "You didn't get hurt when you fell did you?"

Cadeyrn looked down at the little one his ears flicking back a bit. He resisted taking a step back as the colt approached where he was. He shook his head a bit shaking the etching memories from his mind. "No," He replied back, "I'm fine, and please call me Cadeyrn." He then tilted his head towards Hellhound, "And that's Hellhound, my companion." It was finally decided he would raise the little thing until it was old enough to fend for itself, he would not let it go through being lonely through its childhood as he did.

Bright eyes smiled up at Cadeyrn as his short tail 'wagged' behind him, Jadyn was happy that 'Mister' was alright... What was his name again? Cad.Cadeyrn? Yes! That was it, Cadeyrn, he thought he could remember that. Actually he was sure he could remember that, it wasn't a hard name to remember.

"Jadyn, my name's Jadyn, nice to meet you, Cadeyrn." Jadyn said nice and proper, he was going to be a proper one, well that's what he was thinking anyways. He had no idea that this male was going to be the worst role-model he could ever have. "Do you have a female?" Jadyn asked outright, looking around for something looked like what he thought a mare would look like.

Not seeing anything, Jadyn looked back towards... Hellhound? Head tilting as magenta eyes blinked back to the fire tailed critter, he stepped over and nosed at it some, getting a good whiff, pew... It certainly smelt different, like... He didn't know how to describe it, overwhelmed with what could have been happiness, he looked back to Cadeyrn to lead him to where ever they were going to live. Maybe there was something better then grass there too.

"No I currently do not have a female. But I am in the market for one. I am on a quest looking for the right mare just for me." He paused and then dropped his head to the young one's ears. "Yet I have failed thus far. Still I have decided to bring you with me on this quest. Maybe you will find a mare of your own some day. They are quite interesting creatures. Meet a few, but they never seem to stick around."

Hellhound looked questionably up at Cadeyrn, the little one was staying. He had been sure that the stallion would have refused to take him along with them. Was the black stallion changing or was he just imaging things?

The little lizard backed up when he was sniffed at once more. Why was he the one who kept having to be smelled and nosed by him. First he was kicked in the face by this one now it was deciding to have a festival of noses in his face.

Watching Hellhound back away, his ears fell back a little before looking back to Cadeyrn as he whispered something to him. Blinking a little, his young mind raced at the thought of not having someone around. It never really occurred to him that most were rogues in a way, living alone and only going to find someone during that certain season he had no idea about. Looking back to his adopted father, head tilting a little.

"You can't find someone nice?" He asked puzzled. "Not too many females around then? If you can't find one, maybe there will be no hope for me..." Head lowering a little, he shook his head. "I will help you, Maybe with me, the females will come out of hiding?"

Oh he had NO idea what was going to happen, his future didn't seem as bright as it should have been. Jadyn was going to play right into this stallion's hooves. Tail flicking behind him, Jadyn smiled widely up at Cadeyrn waiting to know what he needed to do to help. Perhaps just his cuteness would be enough? No one could really know and it seemed he didn't either, so naive. And foolish.

"Oh there are many females around if you know how and where to look for them. Its just I have yet found that perfect someone I want to stay with for the rest of my life." He replied back, he paused and took a small glance at the sky. "We've lingered around her to much, its time to continue our search." Hellhound then darted ahead, mainly to scavenge for something to eat. Cadeyn then turned his back to the foal heading in the brush in which he had come from, heading back in the direction where Hellhound found Jadyn's egg.

((If you want to do a time skip soon to when Jadyn is grown up that is fine.))

Confused, Jadyn merely watched his new adopted father, blinking a couple of times before shaking his head. He was really going to need to learn a lot more then what he already was. And that seemed like very little. At least his stomach was full and he was already feeling tired. As Cadeyrn turned to leave, Jadyn scrambled to catch up. He had been lost in thought, well many thoughts as his father spoke of there being many mares around, but couldn't find the right one? But Right one for what?

"Hey, wait for me!" He shouted dashing down the path and falling in behind Cadeyrn, sticking close as there was too much to learn all at once, too many lessons he had to take it seemed. Oh this was going to be FUN! Almost jumping with excitement, Jadyn followed his adopted father like a puppy on a leash.

On their journeys Cadeyrn would teach young Jadyn all he needed to know about the world, about mares, and how to pick one up for his own. He would teach him how to sweet talk his way into a mare's heart. The colt would learn the values and morals (if any) that the monarch lived by, and when he was old enough he would put the boy to a test to see how well he had actually learned the information. During their journeys, Hellhoud kept close more to Jadyn then to Cadeyrn, most likely seeing the foal as an adoptive brother.
