Jeez, take it easy people. So what if Gaia has a Facebook-style footer bar now? I say that anything that when it comes to a site with so many different pages to navigate through like Gaia, anything that helps you conveniently get to the pages you want sounds good to me. Gaia has always been something of a social networking site anyways, so this was the logical next step. So what if they copied Facebook? The system works well there, and if it ain't broke, don't fix it. It might have some bugs, but it just came out. There's no such thing as the perfect software, so give it a break for now. You don't have to use it until it's fixed, but there's no need to condemn it.
I don't know about anyone else, but this is why I'm bothered by the fact that Gaia is copying Facebook.
I come here for Gaia. I come here to post on forums, get items, make avatars, etc. I don't come here to have everything I do viewable by all my friends (i.e. the new 'My Gaia' page), update my status 50 times a day, or to have everything placed in the same manner as FB. I agree that the bar could be useful, but so far it's just been an annoying and unnecessary black bar at the bottom of my browser screen. Honestly, with all the stunts Gaia has been pulling lately, I'm surprised I'm still here.
I don't wanna start a flame war or anything, but that's what I think.
