Rea, too, felt a little disappointed as the bus came, watching it pull up with a soft hiss, as if staring at it would make it go away for a little while longer. That was always the way, wasn't it? Time flew when you were having fun. And she could honestly say she had had fun.
Returning her gaze to the other, she thought about what he had said for a second before responding, nodding slowly. "Some shades do. Some shades can be quite... nice," She replied thoughtfully, the analogy a little lame but somewhat suited to the situation. Despite the awkward beginnings, the crystal girl had found that she really had enjoyed the other boy's company, his slightly reserved manner refreshing after being stranded in a sea of assholes and preps. The fact that she understood where he was coming from only made her further disappointed at the departure -- it was so rare for Rea to have an understanding with anyone, much less a Hillworth student. Certainly a diamond in the rough. She hoped he didn't change while he was there.
Scribbling her number down quickly on a piece of paper, she slid it into his palm as he shook her hand, returning the smile. "It was nice to meet you too, Zachary." She replied, giving a small wave before turning away from the bus to find her friend.
She was sure it wouldn't be the last time she saw him. Destiny city was a small town -- who knew where he would pop up. Hell, he could even turn out to be a scout. After all that had happened, she didn't think anything was outside the realm of possibility.
