"I do not think it is unique to me, no. It is not a hard thing to do, I merely look for what needs to be seen." She sat in silence for a moment, contemplating his last question.
"Nightmares among kimeti differ. Sometimes they are feeling guilty, and other times the Motherfather would have them change their path. It is not so much tedious, but the novelty does wear off rather quickly."
She shuffled her hooves around a bit, and bowed her head to mumble, "It is not always lonely. Sometimes I meet stray kimeti who do not know, or I have the Motherfather for company in the swamp itself."

"Can anyone do it?" he asks. Not so much wanting to know if he, himself could, as from idle curiosity. Golden-Spider nods at her words. "I can see how it would. Anything, no matter how much you enjoy it, can get tedious if done too much."
So, is there anything you like to do. You know, just for fun?"

"For fun?" What a strange inquiry. Fun, fun, fun...what was fun for her to do?
"For fun," she stated, more sure than the last utterance, "I like to get caked in mud and swim it off. It is very refreshing, and relaxing at the same time."
"Tell me, then, Golden-Spider, what do you do for fun?"
It was so wonderful to talk to another kimeti aimlessly, instead of with serious questions.

Head tilted, he digests her words, wondering what it'd feel like to do that. Looking at the ground, he answers her question, a bit embarrassed to admit this bit out loud. "I think.. daydream, actually. About the future." he perks up, pride in his voice at his next words. "And try new things, especially experimenting with foods and how things taste together. Like sweet berries and tart berries, or leaves with fish. Fruit with eggs, or a lizard." as if on cue, Golden-Spider's stomach rumbles. Blushing lightly, he hopes Dream-Weaver had not heard.

Dream Weaver's ears twitched at the sound of the grumbling. The buck tried to hide it, so she would try to ignore it. She had learned simple things like that were required for living in society.
"I don't think I've mixed food together before, I usually just pick at what is available. Have you any suggestions?"
He seemed to be proud of his culinary ability - as he should be; eating for pleasure was a rare thing for kimeti of her tribe.

He ponders this question for a while, mind bringing tastes back to his tongue. "Sweet and sour go well together. As does citrus and fish, there are some sweet reddish-purple berries that go good with lizard and snake. Or peppers to add spice, or tangy herbs." Here he stops himself, before rattling off the long list of all his favorites. "Mostly it depends on my mood."

She nodded along at his questions, and then got curious.
"Do you think it would work if you mixed those together with other plants - like dreamroot or morning glory?"
She would certainly get more 'customers' if her dosages tasted better.

He's silent for several minutes, thinking it over. "It might mask the taste, but the quantity needed would dilute the toxins. Maybe offer them as a chaser, to keep dosing simple."

Knot watched the buck think over her question, and was pleased he was taking it seriously. She was rarely talked to by kimeti outside her tribe for any length of time, and it was quite refreshing.
"Hmm," she replied, "I don't want to dilute the toxins, since that's what give such interesting effects!"

"Then a chaser could work. Maybe something sweet, or better yet a fruit that would clean the taste from one's mouth." Again he pauses, this time trying to recall something that would work. He frowns, realizing he's never tasted any of those. "I've never tried them, though. Are they safe to eat alone or do you mix them with other things?" He asks, hoping to get a small taste to help him find something to get rid of it.

"They are quite safe to eat alone, and by the time you're thinking about the bad taste they have already taken effect. I'm sure if I combined some small amount into a fruit paste it would give a lighter effect and a sweeter taste."
She mostly gave out small pieces of dried paste, but sometimes kimeti would just want the paste by itself.

He nods in agreement. "Well any sweet berry would work, then. I think, at least. Some foods do change taste in an unwanted way with other foods." He wonders if she tastes her own concoctions, then an idea hits him. "Do you have repeat customers? You could try different mixtures on them and let them decide which is better."

"If I have any repeat customers," she replied, "I do not know it. I travel the swamp constantly and have rarely stayed in the same place for a week, if even that long."
She supposed she could make her mother try it out. It's not like she could make her worse.

"You wouldn't recognize Kimeti who come back? Well, I suppose some might look like others. But there are some patterns and colors that stand out from the rest." Or perhaps her weaving takes so much concentration that she doesn't have any to spare for remembering. "I'd be willing to sample some, if you need help."

"Maybe so, but I simply see so many kimeti that they all blend together. There are a few who I might stop and visit, but I do not pander to any of them."
She regarded him for a moment, and started to respond, "Truly, are you that hungry?" she asked with a grin. "Perhaps we can trade? You can prepare us a meal, and I can prepare a mixture for you to add flavor?"
If his stomach growled any louder they'd have to keep an eye out for crocodiles.
