perhaps it is time we pull from the Exchange, and go back to the Vend as a price guide? we seem to have better effect on the Vend AND exchange when we go there, and frankly, i like talking to people here, and vending there.. not the other way around..

Same, RIP is based on the market anyway. Exchange is too messy...

I feel that the Vend is rather un reliable as well...
When I went to see the price differences between June 04 letters and Demon horns, I realized that Demon horns cost more then the letter they came in -w-; which isn't supposed to be.

ive been following the principle of dormancy...

you basically acquire an expensive investment item, then forget it exists for several months, and repeat this process. Along the way, you check your inventory randomnly, look up the price, and sell anything with a stupid level of inflation.

its not a way to become super rich over night, but its profitable, and it works for my student schedule (classes from 10:50 am to 9:30 pm)

our current era is entering a period of vast inflation. Currently gaia has been counteracting the inflation by lowering the money supply. however, they do not provide manipulation of interest rates or have the option to buy Bonds.

the closest thing to bonds is the same donation items, and the donation items actually increase in price when inflation hits. this is counter intuitive and creates compound inflation.

instead, its more successful for the gaia economy if a standardized interest rate exists.

Eh, inflation is long over due, compared to the history of how old the items are and how many people want them. Infact, I predict at least one '04 item hitting 500k within the next year, with decembers and novembers of '03 only increasing to about 1.5 mil.
