Please, don't start the grombie hate train again. Everyone is an elitist in their own way so it's pointless and mindless nonsense to through that out to be used against us. It's more of an insult to you than it is to us, really.

I'm not saying we should have all of this grombie goodness to ourselves, but I don't want every n00by kid and their ten thousand mules flaunting it just so they can think they're cool. I have other reasons but my mind is kind of focused on a paper I should be writing for my College English class I have to go to tomorrow. . . that and everything I can say has probably been said before. Seeing as how you seem to be one of the people who may have been fighting for the re-release, I'm going to assume you've heard it all and my reasons won't change your mind.

They've made every skin after Grombies be able to be obtained after the events, they've made a good number of Grombie remake items for users who want the skin but weren't there. The sad part is though, nothing can replace the original, and re-releasing it is just immoral. I know Lanzer has a lot less say in what goes on with Gaia, but he wasn't the only guy in the staff to tell us that the last grombie to inhale their vial will be the last grombie to be on this site, in their own words.

Old DI's and old skins will not be re-released unless some massive mishap happens that kills everything like it did to the '04 zombies, which is unlikely due to Gaia being a lot more stable now than it was then. That is a fact I will stand by until the last day I log off of Gaia.

edit: Also, we DID put a lot of effort into that event for these skins, and the methods cannot be replicated with the site's easier functionality. =/

1. We don't have a pose with grunny's biting our heads, we have suitable LEVEL 3 grombie knock offs but that's it. No level 4 nubs, no level 5 cheekbones, no black and red eyes. Hell, we don't even have hideous growths on the back of our heads.

2. I know you worked hard for your skins, I was there, I did too. That doesn't mean you can shut down people who are willing to work just as hard. 500 grunny vial DROPS doesn't sound too bad. What you don't seem to realize is that we're TRYING to make it fair.

3. Exactly HOW is re-releasing it immoral according to gaia's current standards?

I just get irked sometimes that I can't use a skin that I love just
because a few disgruntled oldbies want to hang on to their
special exclusive skin that most of them think looks like s**t anyway.

Every time I see a grombie b***h about not being able to change skins
it makes me want to strangle a kitten...
It's not a curse, it's a blessing and some people like myself
would pay 10 mil for a Grombie potion.

I would gladly loose the use of all hats to have a stage five Grombie.
It's really not fair to the rest of us who missed out.

Someday Grombies will be gone, completely gone and that will be a sad day.

I remember working my a** off for a good twelve hours biting friends during
the Vampire event trying to turn them when it got started.
Then the next day they started handing out potions...
Yeah, I was a bit miffed because all my hard work was for nothing
but in the end I realized that people who wanted the skin
were able to use it when they wanted.

Not because it was hard to get but because they loved the skin.

Gaia has changed, skins aren't status anymore because there are hundreds of them now.
The admins have said that the Grombie event was a failure,
the elitism and arrogance of the average Gaian ruined the whole event.
Those who wanted the skin were left out.

I just feel that the rest of us should get a chance.
Weather it be a quest, zOMG event, Real event or what I don't care.
I simply want the chance to get the skin.

I don't know, I'm rambling but I'll never stop wanting that skin
and no nasty gray/purple knock off is going to satisfy my lust for it.
Hell, most users that wear the Death Whisper's Drone skin get treated
like "wannabees" by elitist Grombie users.

Not all Grombies are elitist but the ones that are sure do have some
kind of stick up their asses.

Status because of a skin is what should be immoral...
A pair of DJ Studio Headphones are a status symbol and elitism
follows them no matter where they go but the difference is
DJ's are still available.

Those who desire them have the ability to quest them.
It could take five years but they have that chance to earn it.
Grombies however are not available.

No matter how hard you try you can NEVER get them.
THAT is why they should be released once more.

Pirate, your third point actually has struck me without an answer.
I'd like to think that there are some standards that they'd stick by, but who knows?

Crimson, you're right that skins as a status symbol is also immoral.
I disapprove of elitism and that is the only thing I dislike about my pale pixels and pale red eyes. It's granted the good of us to be besmirched due to the arrogant pricks out there. For them, I apologize.

I didn't mean to start this whole debate, but I guess it's kind of inevitable when the subject is even mildly relevant. sweatdrop

I guess we're just used to not having any others around that did the same thing we did and have stuck it out this long. Having others suddenly come into the scene just seems a bit... wrong. I'm not trying to seem offensive or say I'm better than anyone, because I'm not. It is a curse having this skin because of its reputation, but I love it and am able to get over some bitter users who don't deserve this anyways.

Some users do deserve this skin and probably would have been one of us if they could have been, and for them I'd be alright with them having some kind of re-released version of the Grombie stage four and fives. Something about me still doesn't want the complete originals re-released, but nubs and eyes extremely similar in SOULBOUND items is something I'd be behind, given the method for obtaining such an item would be a similar method to what you've proposed...

I wouldn't mind if they were soulbound, or even an updated version of the skins.
So they'll look the same yet with a new feel.
That way those of us who want it can have fun
and the old Grombies can still be special.

Also, I don't mind the argument.
We're all civil here so a little debate
is fine by me.
