HEY DEVIL! When you want to talk sh*t about sailors, remember what the name tape reads on the Doc that fixes you up! I do love my marines though those silly b*stards.

HOO YAA Navy. Navy submariner here. FTSN. Ill say this the navy is not lazy. It just appears so because in port all we do is drink sit around shooting the s**t. poke fun at each other. and hang with family and friends. The reason we do these things with a submarine is because every day even not at sea can be life or death. You see one mistake can still sink the ship or kill a lot of people. So we also do things slow and deliberately. As to make sure we are being safe and no one gets hurt or killed. So at times we barely get any work done because it takes so long for us to do anything being safe.

When it comes down to it, when all this war is said and done - The Navy will still be out on the seas patrolling and showing off our amazing new gear. Anyone following the news on the newest ships coming out? They look like fun.
Seeing pearl harbor though, there's some amazing sites on hawaii. Everyone should be here for a few weeks, just to get the Naval History of it all.

Yeah, the new ships LOOK like fun, but keep in mind that Big Navy doesn't have a great rep.
They recently denounced CVN 77 (The Bush), they don't even own it yet. Can't afford to. The yards still have full possesion of it, and the construction? Botched as all hell.
We do have some great toys though. Have to agree with you there!

I agree, we definitely don't have the best rep. You should have seen what happened to the public attitude to the Navy when the Port Royal ran aground months ago, well...into the reef but yeah. Hawaiians here went nuts. But honestly, I don't know one branch of service that has a great rep with the public.
I'm waiting for when they really start to get into the putting girls on subs, I'd love to see what the public outcry for that is. Everyone will always find something to b***h about with the government or military, it's just a matter of not really caring much about what they say. I hate politics but I did join a very political job so eh, I guess if nothing else I've learned to tune peanut gallery comments out in the past few years.

Lovely Lolita Love I think I would join the Navy if I could go swimming, but then again- I don't think anyone could handle me on a boat for 6 months straight xd your not on about for 6 months straight, your cruising around to different ports seeing the world, the only way you wont see anything is if your on a boomer. and you first have to volunteer for sub duty for that to happen
