I think the first thing we need to do is figure out exactly what threads and stickies we're creating on our own for the event. SO I'ma put stuff out there and you guys can add stuff tooooooo.


I think our intro to it should be the guild homepage and we should design a new homepage for the event. nothing super long because people dont want to read a novel. XD

our stickies/anouncements should be:

1 intro thread that also has rules and regs in it because we won't have many rules/regs.

a guestbook. I do think the guestbook should have some kind of unique theme to make it more than a boring guestbook, but I'm willing to brainstorm more about that later.

team sticky! a thread outlining how the teams are working and how it'll pan out. even though I don't really know yet. I want to make teams a BIG PART and mention them in the intro but I think we need a sticky about details.

avatar contest! dunno exactly how it's going to pan out but we need a sticky for it because people WILL be gravitating to it.

I think other threads need to be made preferably by us but I also think that having important threads stuck makes them threads less people will pay attention to.

so, threads I think we need.

an introduction thread. everyone's going to be from different places and not know each other super well or just not talked to people, so we should have a thread for getting to know people! maybe with a quick qna or formy thing about the person and have it be all halloween themed.

our minigame thread. most important thread we can make ourselves. as soon as the back to school event we're doing we should get on coordinating this and planning it. gonna need a lot of volunteers.


dunno what else. anyone else have ideas? :3


edit: OH DUH WE ALSO NEED TO MAKE TEAM THREADS. I think having them all as stickies might get messy but they do NEED to be stickies. so maybe the first 3 ideas I had as anouncements and then the 5 teams as stickies and then nothing else as a sticky.

You could just have those be the team titles, like Jack-o-lanterns or what have you, then list the team colors. So that way people can use their team colors in whatever costume or contest they're in, but can also branch out into their own ideas. And the teams would be halloween-ish.

I'd say you should let people choose, just like for normal all-gaia events. Works better that way.

toastie and I had an awesome idea! (we are discussing the s**t out of this in kroo chat not because we dont love you but because there are less people there and less talking so conversations dont get lost)

we should have a committee of us who sends out loads of random giftsnipes to random people. whoever signs up for that will discuss what to send out and how much and how you pick who beforehand and you might have a thread or I might make a mention somewhere it might happen and then just have you all go all ninja about it. >.>

we discussed and we think we're going to announce we're going to have teams and let people choose beforehand and then have people 'post to join' and then just close signups temporarily on a team that gets too many people signing up so they all stay pretty even.

OK, so not to back track, but to put in 2 cents, I don't think we should have team stickies, for each separate team, UNLESS! OMG GREAT IDEA ALERT!!!! You have like a thread post contests!!!

Like, in your team thread, if 3 people from your team post in a row, your team gets 10 points, and if 2 people from another team post in a row, you lose a point, and if 3 people from another team post in a row you lose another point, and then it keeps going until somebody from your team posts again. AND! If more than 3 people from your team post in a row, your team gets +1 per post, on an escalating scale, so the NEXT person gets +2 (So the 4th posters gets 1 post point, plus combo bonus +1 = 2 points; The fifth gets 1 post point +2 combo bonus = 3points). UNTIL somebody from another team posts, and THEY get a COMBO BREAKER BONUS and their team gets +5 points!

OMG! SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!! DO THAT! DO THAT!!

OHH!!! And to make it easier for everyone! Each team should have like a post style thing. Like lets say Team Poopalot, their team color is orange then your team post thing is like Team Poopalot in the upper left corner. And then Team Crapstheirpants, their color is blue, so they get a Team Crapstheirpants in the lower left. And then yeah, and we can only have 4 teams... SO YEAH!

AND! at the end of each day, the team with the most points gets a +25 bonus! And then at the end of the event, we give the winning team something fun! I dunno what... But it would probably have to be worth the effort... I can brainstorm a little see if I can come up with something.

IDEAS JUST COMING OUT MY HOOHA!!!

Just in case you didn't notice, I'm REALLY good at half-baked ideas.

I just think people need easy to find team threads where they can socialize and stuff and I think stickying them is the way to go. D:
