Entry One

Just Another Peaceful Night

Rossy sat in his usual spot, picking at the remnants of his dinner in which he prepared but could not eat. It was another normal day, Rossy just trying to bring his hopes up by not drinking and enjoying a lovely meal. The rain drizzled and poured outside his home, hitting the window with such loud pangs as if it wanted to be let in. Cracking his fingers, he smiled sheepishly to himself. "Dinner looks good tonight..." he said, eyes lusting for the delicious piece of meat. Picking up his mighty fork to slay the beast, Rossy was halted from his actions when young girl entered into the room.

Pinching the ivory skin between his eyebrows, Rossy let out an agitated sigh. "What do you want Gretchan?" he asked, eying her as she let out a meek yawn. "Garret keeps poking at my side and won't let me sleep! Why can't he sleep in your room?" At that moment, the mentioned twin bolted in front of his sister. "No, no, no, no! I do not want to sleep there!" he bellowed with arms flailing at his sides. "It smells like cigarettes and old boots." Garret pinched his nose as he said this. "Stinky!" As the two began to bicker, Rossy stepped in front of them. Holding them both up at the hem of their collars, he scowled. "Listen 'ere you little ragamuffins." he growled. "I was having a peaceful dinner here before you two stepped in and decided to ruin it. Stop fricken' arguing over the littlest crap and let me have some quiet! Your mom said I had to watch over you little punks. So get back to bed without any fuss!"

Garret nodded his head without any answer as he grabbed his sister's arm to drag her back to bed. However, Gretchan stiffened and placed her arms on his hips. She frowned at her uncle and humphed. "Just because you have a hangover, you shouldn't be releasing your anger on us." she said towards Rossy. "Mom has been dead for a month already. Stop lying to us. We know she is never coming back. So just stop acting like we're the problem here! Garret and I were just happy we didn't need to be taken to some orphanage or something. And we are glad you stepped in during out time of need. But quit acting like a jerk! Damn!"

And with that, Gretchan slapped away her brother's hand and ran down the hall. Rossy muttered out another agitated sigh. "She had to bring that up..." he thought as he felt his heart drop. Anabelle Rossy had died in a car accident while driving home with her friends. Unfortunately, her friend made a wrong turn on the highway and the car went flying. As it rolled down a cliff, some of her friends jumped out to safety. She was the only one stuck in the car as it finished rolling and flew up into a fury of flames. Her funeral was held in his backyard, considering she always mentioned she wanted to be buried in the place where she grew up. His sister was also an avid gardener. She wanted to be buried among the garden she planted. But the flourishing flowers of the place she loved never stayed. They wilted with her death and the area turned into nothing more than a barren wasteland.

Garret bowed his head before gazing at Rossy. "She's right, y'know..." he said as he turned away. "Mom just wants us to be happy. But you seem to just be making our lives hell. But whatever. I am gonna go comfort Gretch." The ivory haired male walked away silently to which Rossy rolled his shoulders and headed out the back down to the lawn. He trotted up to the mound of dirt and patted it. "I'm sorry Sis..." he said with a small smile towards the grave, a small tear trickling down from his eye. "I'm sorry I wasn't able to grant your last wish."

Staring up to the sky in front of him, Rossy rolled his fingers into a fist and closed his eyes. "I...I wish for an everlasting garden..." he said with a small whisper, than into a loud yell. "I wish for an everlasting garden, just for my sister!" At that moment, something shot down from the heavens. It spun in a frisbee sort of fashion before impacting the ground to the side of Rossy's feet. The ex-pastry chef shot out of the way as dust began to rise from the area. As he waved away the brown fog, he noticed a star sitting in front of him, glowing bright with heat. He stared at it with awe for a couple of seconds. "A star...?" he said with a tilt of his head. "What is a star...?"

Gretchan and Garret raced outside, having heard the crash from inside. "Rossy, are you okay?" questioned Garret as he tugged his uncle to his feet. Gretchan eyed the star. "A star?" she asked, tilting her head like her uncle before. "How did it get here?" Rossy shrugged. "I wished for it and it came." he said with a small laugh. As the three stared at the glowing object from space, they all had the same thought on their mind.

What were they gonna do with it?
