Reading this thread... I feel one thing...JEALOSY...we were NEVER able to play video games at school.
And yeah beating boys at stuff is always fun...cocky bastards.

Kelmur BAH what are you girls talking about lol... lets face the facts here guys like running around aimlessly and pulling the trigger if they see something move end of story. Girls on the other hand commite suicide a few times to plan out a strategy after that it's like constant win every time lol. bottom line girls play with smarts and guys just play lol I know it's a fact because 90% of the time that's what I do haha, even if I start thinking it doesn't help... Actually when I start thinking, it makes things worst for me haha *ish highly offended* I consider myself an intelligent citizen of the underground community! I've loved strategy games ever since I was introduced! *is shouting at you because you're the only guy that was bashing on guys rofl * Anyway, I believe that it doesn't matter whether a person is male or female. It all comes down to experience, strategy, strength (in the game), and everynow and then dumb luck and the enjoyment of playing with friends. ....*runs away ending speech*

Celes Hehehe.. This thread is fun. I remember at school we would bring down a tv cart to the lounge, and smash brothers, to try and attract more sales for our Game Wars event. And I would stand there and fumble with the controller. Everyone knew I was in Game art, and even still they didnt believe I could own them. So they would step up "Haha, youre a girl" you all know how it goes. And then my Shiek would murder them. ^_^ And then, we had Unreal 2k4 in all of our computer labs, because we used the engine to build levels. Well at night we would have HUGE deathmatches. I was known as Suck Yo Mamma, feared throughout the hallways! lol Not a lot of people knew it was me, even though I used the blonde girl avatar, Satin or whatever. And they would talk about how much they hated Suck Yo Mamma, cause "he" was too good. Of course when they found out that Suck Yo Mamma was a GIRL, it became personal for them, and I was totaly hunted all the time. lol I used to win out of all the guys in my class when we play tested the levels we built. Come on fellas, take a hint.
Oohh, I hate him so much because he beat me. What? It was a GIRL!?!?! Omg. I have to kill her now!! I can't lose to a girl!!

I remeber back in high school I we used to play Duke nukem Death match during lunch all the time ~ and well I wasn't the best but I always managed to get myself in the top 3 but them this totally innocent looking girl coems in she looked like your average book worm type person more into books and not games kinda deal I mean one ofhte guys sitting next to me was like that and we always farmed kills off him lol poor guy but she came in sat down asked to joinwe laughed and GOT SMOKED! not just smoked but we got rolled up and decorated in a fancy pink bow and SMOKED.. and that's when I learnt never pre judge a girl ever again or let my ego get in the way of getting my handed to me haha...
and on that note *jumps off a cliff... to avoid getting shot at* MUWAHAHAHAHA TAKE THAT! *sigh* this is going to hurt again.

(and ladies, i was the only girl playing wink we rock)

I love it when my school has video game evenings! That's when i get my money from the guys due to constant male ego and underestimation 3nodding
Lat V.G evening i made $52.50 off of guys betting me that they'd win but sadly...they didn't. This one cocky b*****d guy came up to me and started talking smack about "girl all you have is luck on your side today". So he bet $27(all the money he had in his wallet) that i can't beat him in 3 rounds of Raw Vs Smackdown,Tony Hawk Underground, NFSU 2 and Capcom Vs Street Fighter.
Of course i gave that innocent look that says "oh dear how do these buttons work" then proceeded to own his a**! cool

XD My boyfriend gave me his PC game Shivers because he couldn't figure out the puzzles...I beat the entire game. X3 And I liked it so much I ordered and beat the second one, too.

It is always great when I own my older brother. He was stuck on a mini game and spent so much money just to try and win the prize for completing it. Getting fed up of seeing him lose I took the controller off of him and completed the mini game first try. He said he hated me afterwards as he'd tried about 70 times surprised

Girls are better is an entirely wrong statement. Neither boys nor girls are better. Both have brains that develop in different ways. If they DID develop the same, but one more rapidly than the other, then that statement would be a valid claim. But I do give girls some credit for having the following advantages.
1. Girl- already an advantage. Not only will a desperate guy take it easy on you, one adjustment of your bra, the tinest fraction of a movement in that region even, and he's lost the game.
2. Tiny fingers- less muscle mass in the hands means it's easier for your fingers to fly from button to button.
3. Sexism- even a guy that's NOT sexist, will subconciously think that he's supreme. To girls or guys. Guys are guys and will always WANT to be number one. Thing is, girls already know they are! T__T (my gf holds things from me... *cough cough*)
I think online gaming will bridge this gap. And make the playing field more even.
Now for guy advantages.
1. BOOM! factor- guys have been killing/destroying/incenerating/etc many numerous zombies, dark lords, and sewer rats for about 20 years so far. Girls as a majority for 5 years tops. It's just in a guys nature, for lack of better phrase, to kick major a**. Girls actually do think but so can guys. I've pulled some nasty/tricky moves myself.
2. Mind Set- Guys get really into a game. They sorta become the character. That's why more 10 year old BOYS want to be power rangers, not girls. They get really wrapped up in the game. Guys also need to be around other guys. If a girl is present it disturbs the testosterone level in the room! Which guys live and breathe testosterone. This ties into the Sexism advantage of girls.
3. Majority- Yes, there are girls that can rock at games. Yes, there are female body builders that for CERTAIN they could kick MY a**. But as a majority, guys are better at videogames, 1 for the sheer fact that more guys play videogames that girls. This being gamer Girls guild, it's biased. That's why a GUY won the videogame championships of 2006 and ended up taking home lots of cash, not girls. That's why a girl, even though she was the only girl in the contest, and fared well, did not win the pokemon emerald championship. (Really awesome game that yes, takes brains to really play, but can also be enjoyed by a 5 year old)
And just for the record, the only way I'll let any girl win against me will be my gf for the pure and simple reason that she used her boobs against me... Any other girl, fair game. I have animal crossing for the ds (visit anyone?) And I'll get mariokart ds this christmas to add some friendly competition.

Sheesh i dont like the guy gamers you girl gamers meet they all talk trash but cant back it up. I hate no i loath it when people talk trash but hate it even more when they can back it up. You girls need to move to cali right now so we can have a fair fight of the gamers instead of you lot going against the noob trash talking portion of guy gamers.
