Of course, as the door to the Third Music room was opened, the young host was standing in the formation of the day. Tamaki hadn't chosen a cosplay for today, so it was just school uniforms. Haruhi stood in the front of the group along with Hunny when he wasn't draped over Mori's shoulder. Haruhi would rather just be in the normal uniforms. Tamaki's choice of cosplays could be a little...well...too much at times. Too bad Haruhi was the only one who thought so. The other hosts never seemed to mind the ridiculous cosplays, and the customers couldn't get enough, especially girls like Renge. But Haruhi always went along with it, no matter what the crazy outfit was.
Haruhi was the only female host of the group. This was kept a secret, however. Only the host club and Mitsuki knew about it. Haruhi failed to see why it really mattered what people thought of her. She did need to stay a host in order to pay off that debt that she owed the club since her first day here at Ouran. Who would have thought that maybe breaking that pot might not have been such a bad thing. She rarely admitted it, but she'd grown fond of the host club over time. She liked all of the hosts and considered them all friends...weird friends. But friends nonetheless.
As girls started pouring into the room, the hosts got to work. None of Haruhi's regulars were here yet, so she decided to make some tea while the other hosts were busy. Of course, all of these rich kids could afford to have the finest tea on earth brought to them in seconds. But the hosts, especially Tamaki had a fascination with "commoner" tea, so sometimes they served that.
As Haruhi heated up the water, she looked over to see who had come in. She blinked, seeing that Tamaki had gone into his favorite corner yet again. She sighed softly; she wondered what it could possibly be today that had gotten him so upset already. A soft smile crossed her face when she noticed Kyoudai trying to cheer him up. Haruhi wasn't concerned. He did this all the time, and bounced back quickly.
Her dark brown eyes saw the twins with their regular, Mitsuki. When she saw the wheelchair the other girl was in, she looked away. It was rude to stare. But she couldn't help but to wonder what possibly could have happened to her. She focused her attention on finishing up with the tea, but she couldn't get her mind off Mitsuki. It was just in Haruhi's nature to care about people. She didn't want to pry into the other girl's personal life though. It wasn't any of her business anyways.

It was as though someone had flipped a switch, Tamaki instantly rose and lifted Kyoudai off the ground, a rose in one hand and the girl in the other, he leaned in closely and whispered, "Good day my darling, it must have been fate that brought you here, for with just your lovely voice you lifted me from my sorrow and filled my heart with glee"

Kyoudai stood up, with help form Tamaki's jump, of course, and grinned widely. "Ha, well your welcome!" she mused with a light, cheerful tone. "None of the guests like to see you hide away~" she chimed. She put a hand lightly on her hip and tilted her head to the side, her eyes curious. "So, who's going to be your special princess today?" She asked this because.. Well, it always seemed like he payed more attention to one person than the rest. Actually.. Most hosts did that, since they didn't have the time to speak with everyone. But they always tried! She looked back to Mitsuki.. Ever since she saw her, she always seemed familar from somewhere... But where?

((Yay~ Oh god. I did it again. I said in her profile that her eyes were black. But I like blue better so I put blue instead. Just so ya know, they'll stay blue. I'd edit it, but there's something wrong with Gaia on my computer. I can't scroll down, can't edit, can't quote. Can't delete. Sucks. So I can't put new profiles in.))
Her back felt stiff. And she hated it. In that short amount of time, the discomfort she was feeling had already begun to irritate her. Mitsuki wanted to stretch her back, but if she did her stomach would hurt. To keep her stomach from hurting, she kept her back straight. But that only stiffened her back more. Being in a wheelchair in her condition, needless to say, royally sucked. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Hikaru and Kaoru trotting over to her, arms linked. She was somewhat surprised when she saw them actually come over. However, she never showed it, and she immediately dismissed it as a host act. Naturally the host should try to cheer the guest up. They couldn't exactly cheer a guest up unless they knew what was wrong.
Well, even if they were doing their jobs, Mitsuki didn't really want to share what had happened. She knew her state would obviously bring up questions. Of course she heard those prissy snobs whispering rumors behind her back. Sure, they could have been entertaining. Falling down the stairs. Getting attacked by a monkey. Slipping on a banana peel (which, Mitsuki noticed, happened a lot recently). Still, Mitsuki had immediately shut them up with a cold stare. Her personal life was none of their business if she didn't want it to be.
If Mitsuki had been caring enough to be more observant, she would have seen the concern in Kaoru's eyes. But she didn't. She hardly paid attention to their facial expressions anymore. Hearing their question, Mitsuki only looked at them from the corner of her eye. She didn't turn her head in their direction. Now... how was she to respond? Mitsuki had come quite close to sharing her response by cursing. But that would have been rude. It was too obvious to say it was an accident. Well, no freaking duh. At that final moment, Mitsuki was about to simply ignore the question. But a searing pain shot up her leg.
Mitsuki blinked to force back a flinch. However, pain had flown right across her eyes for a second, and then it disappeared after two more blinks. That pain had reminded her entirely what had happened. As if her stomach and stiff back had not. It had as well. But the leg pain hurt far worse than any other physical pain she was suffering. However, it hurt not nearly as much as the pain she was feeling emotionally and mentally. It was still her fault Ayame died. It did not matter what anybody said. They'd be wrong.
"I deserved it." That was her simple response. Her words were cool and simple, otherwise nearly monotone. Her words were true. She deserved everything she was suffering from. In fact, it made you wonder whether or not Mitsuki had known about the car and decided against getting out of the way. No. Mitsuki wouldn't go that far, one would decide. Her motives would possibly remain forever unclear. Sammich says: Hehe~ I might be a spazz, but I'm also a mod.. However that happened. LOL. I edited it for you.. I was going to say sea-blue, but that reminds me of turquoise, so I put 'bright blue color'. XD

Kaoru's eyes softened, and narrowed somewhat. He tilted his head, and gazed at Mitsuki gently. "You deserved what?" he whispered, mostly to himself. Hikaru, on the other hand, was looking at Kyoudai with a confused look. "How can Kyoudai be so nice to Tono..?" he asked, putting a finger under his bottom lip. "Maybe its because she always changes personalities?" he pondered. Kaoru looked down at Hikaru, since he was sitting up straight, while Hikaru was leaning against the back of the couch. "Hikaru, be nice. Not everybody has the same intrests." he warned him playfully. She somewhat reminds me of Mitsuki, actually.. They definately aren't like other girls~ he mused to himself. He found it quite interesting that her hair was naturally purple. But, at the moment, she wasn't his guest. He turned back to Mitsuki and smiled. "So, would you like anything? We got new teasets today~"

((LOL. Thanks~ ^-^ That's great! Bright blue would be how you could describe her eyes anyway, lol.))
Mitsuki was spacing. She had only barely heard the small talk go on between Hikaru and Kaoru. However, hearing Kyoudai's name, Mitsuki blinked. Why did that name sound so familiar? Mitsuki didn't ponder over it, though. There were so many people in this school, any name would sound familiar to her now. Still... Mitsuki, for the first time that day, glanced over toward where Tamaki had been. It seemed he had come out of his little emo corner. Not that she really cared. He could be as obnoxious as he wanted to be as long as it did not involve her. Near Tamaki, however, she saw familiar purple hair. It wasn't dyed. Natural.
Mitsuki only knew one girl with naturally purple hair.
Just before Mitsuki had finally come to her conclusion, Kaoru had broken into her thoughts with his words. Once more she blinked, and actually turned her head to face him as she registered the question. Oh, he was just asking if she wanted anything. Hearing about the new teasets made her glance over at a nearby table that was showcasing the teaset. It was quite lovely. Mitsuki's gaze finally trailed back down to her lap, where her hands were folded simply across them. "No, thank you," was her simple response. She wanted to still be polite, even if she no longer had the heart to smile. It was one of the few things she actually cared about now. Rudeness and obnoxiousness were high among her pet peeves. Now that her heart had nearly frozen over, her pet peeves showed more clearly. Because most of the time, Mitsuki never really minded much at all. Until, at least, Ayame had arrived that day to tell Mitsuki she had not been chosen. Mitsuki knew she wouldn't be chosen, and she also knew that she'd be informed about it on that day. That was the first actual day that she had ever really ignored the host club, and acted bitter towards them. That was also her last day of walking on the school grounds.

(Ooc: Your welcome~ ;D) Hearing Hikaru's comment towards her, she couldn't help but stare blankly at him. "You do know I can hear you, right?" she retorted, crossing her arms over her.. Well, pretty mature chest. She gave Tamaki a smile, telling him she was going to be back before walking over to Hikaru casually, watching him lift himself up so he wasn't laying down anymore. She was actually the same height as the twins.. But, she looked taller, since she always wore thick boots. She looked much taller at the moment, since he was sitting. She squated down and looked at Hikaru, a playful look in her eyes. "Look, I know he can be a spazz, but he actually does help make people feel better~ He made you guys feel better, did he not?" Hikaru starred into her playful purple eyes. "Well did I ever say he didn't help others?" he countered. "Kyoudai, dont start thisss... Can't you see we're busy with our guest?" he told her bluntly. Kyoudai narrowed her eyes, letting out a little 'hmph'. "Mitsuki, correct?" she asked, taking a slidding step to the side, still squating, and peeked her head around the back of the wheelchair in which she was sitting in. "Sorry to be such a disturbance, but you know.. Your name reminds me of somebody I used to know before she moved." Hikaru starred at Kyoudai. "Taking our guest.. Pbfffft!! Don't tell me your going to become a host!!" he mused, laughing, falling back to lay on the couch, waiting for her to be done. Kaoru watched as the two conversed, then tilted his head as he heard her cough inwardly, like a little 'ahem' to clear her throat, then watched her flick Hikaru's forehead playfully with scorn for the remark before her eyes opened again, softly. Kyoudai pointed a finger into the air, as if making a disccovery, then placed it on her cheekbone. If this really is her, she should understand me, recognise my voice, or at least be able to finish the song. she told herself mentally, taking a breath before beginning to sing a song.. Not in Japanese, but in english. Her voice was nice and sweet, but it was still somewhat in a low tone to match the song. "In the memory you'll find meeeee... Eyes burning uuuup.. The darkness holding my tightlyyyy..." she started out, taking a step back to give Mitsuki room before putting her hand out, as if to cue her on her turn. (Ooc: xD Btw, the song is Forgotten by Linkin Park. C: )

((LOVE that song~ ^^))
This had to be the Kyoudai she had known in America. Her hair, her face, her height (she was always an inch taller than Mitsuki, ever since she first knew the girl), and her attitude and personality. Kyoudai had been so much like her in many ways, though there was always those differences that made them opposites at the same time. Personality, for one. They both hated girly things. On top of that, back in America they could both be sarcastic. Mitsuki had loved the girl's company. When Ayame was not around, she still was able to enjoy her time with Kyoudai, and nearly even forget about Ayame for a second. But only that second. She could never forget about Ayame for even a second. But with her time with Kyoudai, there were times when she nearly forgot Ayame was not at her side. If this really was Kyoudai... maybe there would be someone she really could open up to again.
Mitsuki had snapped out of her thoughts when she heard Kyoudai speak to her. She looked up at Kyoudai, studying her for a small moment before responding simply, "As does yours." Of course she wasn't going to break her control for someone whom she wasn't even positive she knew. What she wanted to know was, if Kyoudai had been there all this time, why had she not noticed her? And surely, knowing Kyoudai, she must have not noticed her either. Kyoudai never was too shy to speak her thoughts... was she? It had only been two or three years, had it not? Mitsuki had heard Hikaru's comment after this and crossed her arms lightly over her stomach as she did, not finding whatever he was laughing about funny or amusing.
Suddenly she heard an intake of breath, and she had glanced up from the corner of her eye to hear and see Kyoudai singing. The song... it was in english. But technically almost everyone would be able to understand her anyways... though Hikaru seemed to have problems in foreign language. The voice... it was so familiar. Mitsuki couldn't come up with any other explanation for this. Finally, the lyrics, and the song itself. Linkin Park. Forgotten. She knew that song. Linkin Park was, and still is, among her favorite bands. During the three lines her eyes had widened slightly. She had felt a small melting of her ice cold barrier, but it wasn't enough to break it completely. Still... this was Kyoudai. The one she had considered her closest friend, beside Ayame, in America. The only person she would ever open up to.
Mitsuki heard a small pause, and at this she had looked up at Kyoudai, staring at her. She finally realized at that moment... she needed a close friend... a closer friend than any of the hosts. Kyoudai was the only friend in her world left. After that realization, she also realized that Kyoudai was trying to cue her in. Mitsuki never liked singing out loud in front of people... the only person she sang with in America was Kyoudai. And most of the time they were sort of bored and were just singing to be crazy. That's what they always did in America. That was what she and Ayame had done in America as well. The old, 'random-breaking-out-into-song-moment.' Despite this, Mitsuki knew she had to prove herself that she was the Mitsuki she had known in America-- even if she had changed. So, in a quiet voice, she sang the last line. While her voice was quiet and soft and low, it was still beautiful and crystal-like. "...Until the sun rises uuup..."

(Ooc: Me too~ ;D) Kyoudai smiled as she heard Mitsuki sing, for the first time in what seemed like forever. She adjusted her weight to one leg, the other one slightly bent, and she pulled her head back a little, her eyes close to tears. Finally, after all these years, they got to speak once again. All the good times, finally able to be remembered. All the bad times, the things they never apologised for, the secrets... All able to be shared with one another. The closeness of having a good friend by your side... In all truth, Kyoudai had forgotten what it felt like. After moving to Japan, her natural home, she became self conceiled and alone, one of the only girls wearing her own clothes instead of the uniforms. Apparently, there wasn't enough boys uniforms, and she would never be seen in a dress... Let alone one that fluffed out at the bottom.
"Mitsuki..." she whispered softly, putting a curled up hand against her collar bone. It was unbelieveable... For one, she was in a wheelchair.. From moments ago, thinking she was just some random defenseless student, to present time.. Seeing her best friend in a wheelchair. It hurt a little.. No, it hurt a lot. She reached her hand out to Mitsuki, then turned her wheelchair towards her. She knelt down on her knees and leaned forward, giving Mitsuki a tight, yet sensitive hug. After this, the let her go and smiled widely, tears shining on her long eyelashes. Even with such great happiness, she refused to cry. She just hated to cry. Kyoudai smiled widely and laughed a little. "Its so good to see you again.." (Ooc: Lets just say the twins are watching. xD)

((I love A Place For My Head. Lol. And Pushing Me Away. c: And Papercut... and just about all of them. xDDD Awesomeness.
xP))
Mitsuki simply looked at Kyoudai, at a complete loss for words. She eyed her carefully, and there was a pit of happiness deep within her that she probably would not share as obviously. There came a slow intake of breath, and then Mitsuki nodded, cracking a small, invisible smile that was between a grimace and a very small smirk. "You don't know how much I've missed you," she murmured solemnly, and she returned the hug carefully, trying to be cautious with her movement. Mitsuki wanted to talk to Kyoudai privately. Just to spill out everything she had gone through. She needed someone to talk to; someone she loved as a friend and cared deeply for, while knowing that they would listen. Mitsuki could have told the host members... but she didn't really believed they would care about her little sob story. They just tried to make the girls happy. That was her belief now.

(Ooc: I love Papercut. xD I always reply the beginning so I can beat box with it. XD) Kyoudai took off her glasses, rubbing the water off her eyelashes so it didn't drip onto her lens, then put them on. "Well, looks like we've missed each other q-quite a lot." she mused, chucking a little in the middle of the sentence. Her voice was still shaky from happiness, and she couldn't help but hug Mitsuki again. "I've been so alone without everybody in America... I feel so stupid! I never noticed it was you!" (Ooc: And.. I think that they actually took French for foreign language... Cause remember, in that one episode, they said that they should all three (Haruhi and the twins) should possibly take fluent french classes?)

((Probably, lol. But I heard that almost every country in this world takes english as a language too... Like, some started learning in 1st grade. My teacher even taught english to the Chinese. Gawd, she's been everywhere... I'm so jealous. xP I wanna go to China. And Japan. xD And then in all these fanfictions I've read, they mentioned either knowing english or taking the classes. xP))
"I never noticed either..." Mitsuki admitted in a near whisper. She wasn't showing the fact that she was happy. But she felt elated, ecstatic. She wasn't alone anymore. Ever since Ayame had died, she had felt cold and alone. A barrier of ice had formed around her heart, and on that first week of her absense she was found lying on her bed-- bruised and battered from her parents' punishments-- simply staring up at the ceiling. Sure, Mitsuki would be the new heir. But she shouldn't be. It was her fault Ayame died; she should not have left her alone. Without her sister around; without her advice, her support... she felt like she was engulfed in a black pit of nothingness. She had created her own world, keeping away from everyone-- with the exception of her parents.
Then that next week, Mitsuki had been crossing the street when a drunken driver hit her full on. Her parents' punishments had stopped, and Mitsuki thought her fate was quite fitting for her-- her only regret was that she had not died. Still... Mitsuki was glad she was alive now. Maybe it was because she knew she was no longer alone. Kyoudai was here now... It may not mean everything would be alright... but it was a start.
And now... Mitsuki wanted to talk to Kyoudai, alone. Kyoudai needed to know what happened to her. She was her friend, after all. However, she only wanted Kyoudai to know. Just for now. She didn't want sympathy or people worrying for her... but she knew telling Kyoudai about everything that had happened to her would make her feel a lot better. Mitsuki looked up at Kyoudai meaningfully after the hug. "I need to talk to you... alone..."
((Lol. If you want, you can have the twins eavesdrop... Hikaru can probably suggest it. That would so be the twins though. xP Could be a bit of a plot twist and it saves another full explanation. xD))

Kyoudai's head tilted slightly at Mitsuki's serious tone. Back in America, they would always have a playful, joyous tone. Thing's really had changed... And it was quite obvious that she was having problems with... Something. Yet, nobody seemed to notice. Expecially Tamaki... This made her change hosts, yet again. This time, she changed to Mori. She did like tall people...
She nodded her head softly, her eyes sincere before turning blunt and retorical. Her gaze landed on the twins, who had been standing by watching. She was one of the only girls around that was actually their height. "That means you guys." she retorted, before looking down at Mitsuki with a soft smile. Where would a place be for privacy? Well, there was the girls bathroom, but with all the preppy girls here, there would be no privacy with the girls fussing with their hair... The library was a possibility, but then again, there was all the clubs that gathered in the libraries after school...
The maze.
Nobody EVER really went to the maze... Who knows, maybe they were afraid of getting lost.. But, in the past, Kyoudai and Mitsuki would always go on adventures. This wasn't much different.. ONly, Kyoudai would be Mitsuki's eyes, since she couldn't stand. "How about we go to the maze?" she asked quietly into Mitsuki's ear. It was a nice day, afterall. (Ooc: So sorryyyyy. D: I totally killed this. xD But, I'll make the twins follow in the next post, since Mitsuki doesn't like being pushed around in the wheelchair. XDDD)

((It's totally fine! I missed you soooooooo much!!! -glomptackle-))
Mitsuki looked back up at Kyoudai when she smiled softly down upon her. She tried her hardest... but she couldn't find the will to smile back, as much as she desperately wanted to. She blinked and her eyes fell upon the twins, gazing upon the both of them. Mitsuki was thinking the same thing Kyoudai most likely was-- finding privacy. She knew Kaoru and Hikaru would most definitely try to follow them. Normally Mitsuki didn't think much of it. But, now, this aspect annoyed her thoroughly. It was as though they didn't understand personal space. It irritated Mitsuki more so than ever before.
Her gaze shifted back to Kyoudai after hearing the quiet suggestion. The maze. It was perfect. This could almost be like the many adventures Kyoudai and Mitsuki always went on-- the trip through the cornstalk maze, for one. Especially during the October season, when Halloween was approaching. It was always so exciting, adrenaline-pumping... Still, there was a huge difference between this trip through the maze and the trip to a cornfield maze. Mitsuki had no legs, for one thing. Secondly, they were only hiding to talk. It was probably the only place they would have to talk in private. No doubt, if the twins wanted to try to follow they'd have to keep a good distance away-- this would lead to them possibly going the wrong way. Mitsuki looked over her shoulder a little bit to face Kyoudai more, and nodded. "That is a good idea," she agreed softly.

Kyoudai grinned widely, then turned to leave, trotting out of the music room with Mitsuki following. (Sorry for the major god mod there... Just gotta get things moving. xD; ) She carefully grabbed the handles of the wheelchair, carefull not to put any weight on them, since it would make her push Mitsuki... She knew she hated having people helping her. With crutches, she never let anybody lend a shoulder to lean on if her leg began hurting... Like this would be any different. It never was. Her heart pounded against her chest, making her breathing a little heavier. She pain she felt now wasn't anything close to Mitsuki's, she could tell, but.. Seeing her friend in this state... It killed her on the inside. She leaned in towards Mitsuki's ear and tilted her head a little. "Does it hurt..?" Hikaru stood straight, his hands rested firmly on his hips. "Well! I dont think I want to be told what to do by a girl. Whadya say, Kaoru?" he spoke, his voice lowering to a slight whisper. "Shall we follow them?" A smirk appeared on his face, shining with mischeif. Kaoru, on the other hand, thought twice about the idea. He could tell what she wanted to talk about.. The thing keeping her in her ice case. That one thing blocking her out from the world. Yet, he wanted to know what it was. She needed help from more than one person. With a fake, mischevious glint in his eye, he turned and nodded to Hikaru. "Ohh yeah~ Let's go." he told him, trotting off towards the door with Hikaru by his side. He peeked out of the cracked door, waiting for a good time to follow.
