"Sounds just like the little twerp." Tsuki said in response to Sickle's comment about Nadia constantly talking about her. "She doesn't stop talk when I'm here nor does she stop when I'm gone." she stated before giving a bit of a chuckle. She couldn't blame Nadia, she always had something to tell her when she came to visit, besides, she loved the little wolf--despite how much she referred to her as a twerp. "And I've been good." Tsuki responded. "Just living with whatever each day throws at me, and making the best of it. As for keeping in touch, I've never been the type to do that--and Sparky knows that, she offered to give me a phone but it seems like to much of a hassle to me, if I want to come and visit, I'll visit--and you'll now when I arrive." She had a point, it wasn't unusual for Sickle or the others to either come home--or to the restaurant--and find Tsuki sitting on their step waiting for them. And if she wasn't there, she'd probably be wandering about the neighborhood, checking to see if anything had changed while she was away. "I wouldn't be surprised if she already does." Tsuki added in a second later. "She always seems to know when I'm coming to visit, it's like she has a built in radar or something."

Sickle nodded slowly, but decided to drop any further issue with Nadia - the little girl would be the subject soon enough now that Tsuki was around. Sparky or Super would show up, and their little one in tow shortly there after. Sickle sniffed the air a second before shrugging. "They say when you live with someone long enough, you establish a connection, Tsuki." He mentioned. "Considering you shared that body for so damn long, I'm surprised I haven't got a call yet." He said, motioning towards the phone.
His face then melted into a serious demeanor. "You still need a phone, Tsuki. Not to stay in contact, but to be able to contact you if something comes up. As much as they seem like it, neither Super or Sparky are in any way 'super heroes'. A simple crash and someone we care about could end up in a hospital. Especially Nadia - she's so young, anything can happen, seeing as she doesn't have any of the immunities built in her body yet." He explained. "Same goes to you. Someone can use contacts on a phone if you ever get hurt." He mentioned. He was very thorough with his reasoning. His expression didn't falter either. He wasn't just saying it to say it - he was basically telling her to get a phone. "I'm not having another person just up and go without another word." He finished. The wounds of Kairi's disappearance hung heavy in the air.

Tsuki's ears drooped silently as they picked up the serious tone that Sickle's voice took on. It was obvious that Sickle was upset--which was something she wasn't planning on causing. Nice going Tsuki... the silver wolf thought to herself for a moment as she sat there silently. She hadn't meant for her statement to come out that way--nor did she mean to bring up what she did. "You're right." Tsuki replied after a few minutes of silence, knowing when to back down and give in, despite how stubborn she was, she wasn't stupid and she definitely wasn't going to push awaySickle's advice--especially since she knew he was right. She live out in the wilderness--as she called it--far from any over populated city, and if she ended up getting hurt, there was no way she could simple walk to a hospital, there wouldn't be on for miles--calling would be the smart and safest route to make sure that she didn't make whatever injuries she have received from getting any worse...not that she liked hospitals. "I get it." Tsuki said a second later, trying to seem smart mouthed or anything like that. "I'll buy myself tomorrow, alright?" she added in a bit later. "It'll probably be the simple and quickest thing to do since I just recently appeared in town." she explained, before crossing her arms and leaning against the counter, and falling silent. Tsuki hated bringing up things like that, especially ones the still carried pain along with them. Glancing away from the counter for a moment, she glanced over towards the soda fountain and pointed at it. "Give me a cup--I suddenly have a craving for a soda." she explained. "Have any coke or cherry color?" she glanced towards the black wolf from the corner of her eye as she waited for his response.

Sickle's features softened. "Good." He commented, before reaching under the counter. He grabbed a small device and slid it down to Tsuki. "Super bought it three months ago and had me hold unto it encase Nadia might of broke it accidentally. It's all paid up and all the contacts are there - Me, Super and Sparky's cell phones, even Charlie's Pizza joint and Nemu's cell. They made sure that we got their numbers." He explained. The phone itself was nothing special. Just a phone - not one of those superphones with games and music and all the extra stuff. In no means was it a square brick, however. He reached for a plastic cup and walked over to the fountain. "Yeah, I just got the shipment of mix yesterday - about damn time, but you know how things are." He mentioned as he poured out some Cherry Pepsi. "You're the first one to order from the new match - means it's a bit more concentrated on flavor. Consider yourself lucky." He informed, sliding the glass over to her.

"You're prepared for everything, aren't you?" Tsuki said as she watched Sickle slid the phone across the counter towards her. She didn't know why she didn't seem that coming, he, as well as Super and Sparky, always seemed to one step ahead of her when it came to things like this. Picking up the phone, Tsuki curiously flipped through the contacts that were saved on the phone, before closing it and sliding it into her pocket. "There--now it's where I can always find it and it'll be safe." she said as she patted her pocket, as if trying to make sure that Sickle had noticed where she put it. "And you can tell Super and the others that I got the phone." she added a bit later. "As well as stop being worry warts--I'm very capable of taking care of myself." she explained as she picked up the glass and quickly gulping down some of the cherry pepsi that was contained in it. Licking her lips once she placed the cup back down, she gave a bit of a grin. "Now that's good stuff." she said, somewhat sounding like some random person at a bar. "I'll definitely consider myself lucky--highly doubt I'll ever get to taste that again." she mumbled before grinning and taking another sip, obviously enjoying her drink. And just when I thought I could break my habit... she thought to herself. [i[Oh well. the silver wolf gave a bit of a shrug before glancing over towards her friend. "How much for the drink anyway?" she questioned as she finished her drink and placed the glass back down upon the table once again.

"Me? Prepared? Never." Sickle said lounging about as he put off finishing the dishes. "Supes on the other hand... Yeah, he plans for everything. He planned the phone. But that's his thing, y'know. Great tactical leader and all that." He mentioned. During the Great War, Super had been promoted on two different fronts, one as a combat troop and another as a tactician. He was well known for his fighting skills, but in the war his abilities as a strategist were more important. Regardless of his status as a tier one asset, he still demanded he go with many of the more dangerous missions. Some thought Super went because it was too important to fail. Super explained to Sickle that the lives of those he worked with were more important. Super didn't go to make a mission succeed, but to make sure those he went with came back. Sickle looked up from his thoughts as Moonshock asked him how much the soda was. "On the house. Soda's dirt cheap to make, I think it's BS that most restaurant's charge as much as they do. You paid for the special, the drink's free to friends." He mumbled, a new marketing strategy in his head.

A young white fox stood in a pay phone booth on an empty city street. She was holding a baby with dark black fur and a white tail on her hip. She picked up the phone and dialed number that she knew by heart. As the phone started ringing, the child she was holding started pulling on the phone wire and speaking in baby gibberish. "Shh, sweetie, shh," she told him gently, shifting him away from the wire and holding the receiver to her ear. "Please pick up, Super, please pick up..." she wished aloud.

The hedgehog in question had just seen his wife and kid out the door and was just stepping into the shower when suddenly his phone started ringing. He was about to ignore it when he realized it was his cell. Seeing how his cell was a private number, it must of been something worthy of turning off the water and heading for the phone. Wrapping a towel around his waist, the hedgehog yawned slightly as he reached for his phone as he entered the kitchen. Picking up the phone, he saw the number was private. Frowning, he answered and in a tired voice murmured, "Look Olin, I know we're all buddy-buddy with G.U.N., but I'm retired unless war breaks out again." He explained. Commander Olin of G.U.N. was the only person he knew who had a private number who also called his phone direct. He paused as he heard a small voice gibbering on the other side of the phone. "Uh... hello?" He repeated, intrigued.

Kairi smiled at the familiar voice, "Hello, yourself, Hedgehog!" The girl had been nervous and she hadn't thought about how happy she would really be to hear her old friend. "Oh, Super, it's so good to hear your voice! It's me, Kairi!"

Super was a green hedgehog. He was sure of it, he had just seen himself in the mirror and he was most definitely green. A little pale on the peach fur, but regardless. Now, he felt like he had turned stark white. Stuttering a bit and tripping over an invisible cell phone wire, there was a loud crash as his legs gave out from under him at the surprise.
"Oooof..." He mumbled, "I can see why acciedents in the home tend to be in the kitchen. Tile floor plus wet feet equals..." He paused. He focused on what just happened. Over a year had passed sense Super had given up on Kairi - probably six months past when Sparky seemed to grow less cheerful on the prospect of ever finding out her friends fate. And now, it was like hearing a voice from the great beyond. "...Kairi?!" He finally breathed out, clapping a hand on his forehead. It didn't hit with great force, rather connecting with his head-quill. "Is that... 'course it is, you called this number. But how? Where? Yes! Definitely where!" He bumbled over his words as he quickly began searching for his clothes.

She could hear her friend fumbling around on the other side of the line. She cringed when she heard the crash, but her smile returned when he began speaking again, seemingly unharmed and more excited than before. "I'm in a phone booth on sixth avenue." She told the hedgehog, "I would have come over... but I wanted to check on things first. Check on you, and Sparky, and W-Sickle..." she caught herself about to use her old nickname for her husband but stopped herself. She had promised herself that she wouldn't rush into this. If Sickle was happy and had moved on she wouldn't complicate things for him by walking back into his life with a baby. If he had married someone else or changed to a life of crime or become a television news anchor or something... she'd let him be. Beo gurgled again, but she shushed him. "How is everyone?"

Super blinked a moment. Sixth Avenue. He was on Third. While that didn't mean she was three blocks away, it did mean she was at least close - and closer to Sickle, moreso. He paused a moment. "WE THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD." He exclaimed before stopping himself. "Erm. Wait. I said that out loud didn't I? I mean, yes, I meant to say it, but not shout it. Doing fine, you sound - where are my damn pants - And what's that in the background, sounds like a babeeeeeee-" He stretched the last part as he pieced everything together. The hedgehog froze before letting the final piece fall into place. "-eeeeeeo! Beo! That's Beo isn't it!" He nearly shouted, before more fumbling around could be heard. "I can't believe she was pregnant. I wonder how Haden reacted to this. Does Haden know? Kinda wacky guy for an Englishman - there are my pants! - Don't know how he'd react to news like this..." He was hopping on one foot through his garage as he rammed against his black SUV, trying to get his other foot through his pant leg. As he finally got it through, he opened the door and climbed in. Grabbing his keys from his pocket, he was glad to find out he was wearing the right pants. "Sparky and Nadia are doing fine, Little Nadia's walking over to Sickle's restaurant right now with Sparky - you're probably half-way there your self. Sickle has a restaurant now."
He paused a moment as he sighed and took a deep breath. "We missed you, Kairi. We thought you died when the carrier crashed. I have so many questions right now - I'm certain Sickle has more. He opened up the restaurant to take his mind off of the fact that we all thought we had lost you, you know, forever this time." He added the last bit, recalling the body swap shenanigans they went through when they had all just met. The image of a female Kairi/Sickle Hybrid that they all had seen at one point still sent shivers down is spine. "Kairi... He's been waiting for you for well over a year now. I suppose the question is.. where have you been?"

Beo's ears twitched when he heard his name being said on the other end of the line, and as it was one of the only words he could say, he repeated it "Beo! Beo!" Kairi shifted the baby again, trying to get him to calm down. "Well... I'm not dead yet. I'm glad to hear everyone's okay." She took a deep breath, trying to figure out how to answer his question, and sighed. "I managed to get away from the crash before I froze to death and was rescued by a tribe of polar bears. By the time they got to me, I was in pretty bad shape... but they took me in and took care of me. I had lost my memory after the crash and I had no idea how I'd gotten there or what was happening to me. I was lost and pregnant and confused... it wasn't until Beo was born and I saw his face that I remembered Sickle... and everything else. After giving birth I was too weak to travel however, and I couldn't exactly take a newborn out into the arctic weather. Once we were both strong enough, I made the trip back here. You're the first person I called. I don't think I could have handled talking to Sickle or Haden right away... you know how emotional they'd both be."

Super paused a moment. Her fire powers were probably her saving grace, as Sickle had always argued. He couldn't help but chuckle in spite of himself at her story. Amnesia had run rampant in his group of friends, it seemed. Turning the car on, Super opened the garage door and listened to the rest of her story before answering. "Sickle, yes. Haden... very yes. Sometimes I believe that fox just isn't stable sometimes." Super ran a hand through his quills before turning unto the street in the direction of sixth avenue. "I can understand that - it explains a lot. Your missions weren't exactly in the most state of the art locations." Unlike Sickle's. "I don't blame you for waiting until you got here on the off chance another plane went down with you on it, but if you called sooner we could of met you at the airport or something." He paused a moment before adding, "This also explains the charge on Sickle's account recently." He said this mostly to himself. Kairi had to get here from another continent somehow. "So, I guess I'll pick you up first, then swing by and pick up Sparky and Nadia on their way to Sickle's, and then, a big reveal, or something. I dunno, I'm not good at the whole 'You're not dead' parties." Super commented dryly, turning unto Sixth Avenue. "Directions on just where you are outside of Sixth Avenue?"

"We're at the corner of sixth and Pine..." Kairi said, looking at the street sign. "I'll stand outside so you'll see me. See ya soon!" Kairi's fur was as pure white as it had been the last time she'd seen the group and her eyes were still icey blue. She was wearing a pair of dark gray jeans and a white button up shirt. She still had on heavy brown snow boots. Beo was dressed in a light blue tee shirt with a picture of a dinosaur on it and green shorts, his bangs were messy and his tail was wagging. His mother was not so happy. After she hung up the phone with Super, the same nervous feeling returned to her stomach. She saw Super's black SUV in the distance and held up her arm in greeting.
