Opening his maw to agree to her terms he was abruptly cut off as she started without his confirmation, that irked him... He'd been ordered and bossed around by his father enough. This female was dwindling in his interested even more so, but he listened it had been reasonable enough getting to here, he might as well learn what he good before discarding her.
"How bizarre, the look of you has had no such effect on me, though I applaud your life style choice, commitment can become such a drag." Pausing he gathered his breath and waited just long enough to raise her suspicions as to whether he'd tell his story, truthfully he was pondering how to approach this. He'd never had to 'share his story' before and he came to the conclusion he had nothing to loose in telling, abet a mere booty call.
"One of Four mistakes produced from a party romp, inherited look from all three parents, personality I've no clue. Father took us boys away from the silly females as soon as he had chance. It has been a long time since I've seen the females whom bore me, and to be honest I care very little." He stopped to take a breath and check himself over, happy with his lack of emotion and sustained neutral tone and stance he carried on. "Father spends most of his time obsessing over new cubs and has little time or tempter for my brother and I. Which brings us to the present moment, where I've very little to do and not a care in the world." Content with his summary of his rather uneventful life he got to his feet and silently started to walk away from her without saying another word.

"so if you've got very little to do.... and really not a care in the world... why are you leaving? Your conversational skills seem somewhat lacking to me... " she said disdainfully... "it's very sad that your father took you away from your mothers... they might have taught you a touch better manners.. your abruptness is somewhat... oh what is a good word... " she pondered for a moment " rejecting? it doesn't fit well but it will have to do... "
she got up to walk along side him... "it's also sad that your father doesn't pay attention to you anymore... i think that is part of why you are so grumpy... but grumpy is kind of pretty on you... " she giggled for a moment... "so where are we going?"

Keeping his slow pad he over heard her reply before she hurried to his side, he hadn't honestly expected her to follow but then he didn't expect her to not. Things seemed to be going the way that pleased him, this move made a point to himself that he could be in charge of a situation.
With a shrug he simply replied "Why not? I'm hungry, and apparently so are you." Shaking his head he chuckled with a hint of darkness "No... I think the sibling split was a good thing, I hear one of my sisters has mated. Good for her, I doubt Seth or I would have allowed it should we have lived with them." Thought his tone was still rather neutral he was firm and hinted he would not have had it any other way and regretted non of his life.
Choosing to ignore the rest of her spew and whether they where insults or compliments he came to a halt looked from left to right, one way lead to the beach, the other a dimly lit forested area. "Fish or Boar?"

Squee looked at Zodiac surprized... "YOU HUNT?" this seemed incredible... she had always heard that the females did the hunting... and the males just... watched... and sometimes ate the babies... "um... boars i guess... I don't know much about catching fish... actually i don't know anything about them." she hoped he wouldn't hold it against her...
she looked at him.. she didn't realize how hansom he was... "that's good to hear about your sister... i do want cubs someday... Not necessarily a partner... but ... i think every lioness wants cubs. Why wouldn't you have allowed it? do you not like her mate?"

Just as he was about to move he faltered back to give her a long stare, mulling her over a little. Letting out a singular huffed laugh he smirked "I do recall explaining I've live with my father and brother an entire life. Did I not? So whom... do you think would hunt...." He rolled his eyes at her and shrugged and managed to compose himself and carry on towards the way of the forest. Having to explain such a small detailed didn't irk him as much as he thought it would and the topic of cubs made him somewhat uncomfortable. Zodiac had only ever seen his half brother and sisters as cubs and though they where a marvel to behold he wasn't sure what he would do with himself or them should he ever re produce.
Shaking his mane they passed through several large tree's the sunlight beginning to become blocked out and hidden. Keeping his senses about him he unconsciously started to track their meal, dropping his voice to a low whisper "Cubs suggests commitment, I also recall you not being so keen on that one." Turning a mocking grin at her he stopped briefly and raised his nose slightly into the air letting the breeze take the scent to him. "Knowing a male... touches her in any way... love or hate her, I'd still be obliged to rip the males throat out, I don't know the lad." Zodiac simply gave a noncommittal shrug to his last comment, as if it was the only way to go about such things.

This lion was getting stranger and stranger... she too started to keep more about her... and very quietly replied back... "yes but if you recall ... you mentioned your sister until recently lived with you.... " she had the urge to bring her paw upside his head... but thought better of it... because she desired to keep said paw... "cubs would be one commitment i think i would be ok with making... because i can raise them how i see fit... with a mate around... there will forever be some one... to have to look to for decisions... because one only knows what he might try to do to 'help' me .... " it was obvious this male had known nothing of the ways of females... his father had done a very poor job indeed... "the last thing THIS lioness needs is some one trying to tell her what is best for her... " she cut herself off with the crack of a branch...

Ironically he had been listening to every word and though he desired to put her in her place about her in correct statement his mind had set into predator mode. Zodiacs ears caught and flicked to the branch snap before his eyes met hers and glared solidly in a direct gaze at her. After a moment or two of staring he altered his gaze to that of the dimly lit surrounding around him, eyeing up every recess of the shadows. He'd turned in time to catch the movement of something, startled by her 'noise' but seemed to loose it as soon as he caught it out of the corner of his eye. Damned females he thought to himself, his father seemed to be right about one thing, they weren't as practical as they like to make out.
Slowing his breathing he paid attention to that of what was around him, loosing himself in the slightest of sounds within a good range. Nostrils flared occasionally till he picked up the scent of the fleeing create and kneeling down into a stalking position he shifted his weight and silently but quickly made his way after it. It was only a few meters before the boar of good size was in front of him, without judging whether she had followed him or not as he had not heard another disturbance, he wiggled his rear and pounced. It was all over within a second, he's flown the inches and landed with a bone cracking thud on the smaller create attaching his jaw to his neck and quickly draining any life out of the thing.
As he stood over his kill, his jaws still attached to it's form as he lowered it to the ground he began to relax and as it reached the floor motionless and lifeless he released his grip altogether. "I clearly stated I had been removed from all female presence close to birth, had I not?" Sighing he shook his head, either this female was trying to keep up with him and failing or she was just plain ignorant to usual listening skills. Zodiac had become acute to listening, he often had remained silent during his fathers trips and had learnt much from his meetings with Zackary. "Cubs..." He trailed off, this was a subject he was not knowledgeable in and it caught him off guard though she had mentioned it a while before. "I think..." And he looked at his kill intensely though it held all the answers, this was a big admissions for him whether she realised it or not. "I would have to come to respect any female I bore cubs with, to take her views on their upbringing seriously." There for him that was an open admission and a nice one at that, he had been brought up in a purely male part of the family and females aside from toys and flings where not his specialty. "And if you wish me to take your last comment seriously." Coming back to reality he peered at her with a smirk "I would suggest not bodgering up my hunt, now get a full belly I'm starting to think we may need it."

Squee felt something tick in her stomach when he spoke about respecting the mothers desicion... Perhaps this male would be a fine... mate... she quickly dismissed that thought... and looked at him "and what, pray tell are we going to need it for?" she asked playfully, a twinkle in her eye as she bent down to eat. she noticed with out thinking of it... that her movements were becoming smooth and sultry around him... she hoped he did not notice to much... or make to big of a deal out of it...

The females questions caused his brow to raise in question, surely she was not a naive little thing.... though if she where that would be fun. And thought he hadn't particularly meant it in a hinting or seductive way, in fact his tone had been matter of factly neutral, he supposed that was one option, an option he rather liked the sound of.
He was still looking at her with a raised brow when she moved and bent to take her share of his kill. Zodiac's began to start a growl before he noticed her differing in movement, his father had warned him about that, attraction or the such like wasn't it? Interesting.... Dismissing his initial thought to growl he bent down and took a good share of the kill. Mulling over whether to carry on holding himself back, playing it the way he had already or attempting to play it her way and speed things up. He'd been used to acting different to get his own way in the long run and wasn't even certain what the real him was anymore.
Finishing up a good portion of the kill he licked his maw and stretched out in every which way, feeling satisfied temporarily. Now the pit was taken cared off he took a deep breath and brought himself back to the situation and the her need for an answer, he was mostly tempted to leave it hand... let her guess that was always a good way to keep them. However he smirked and waited for her to finish before simply responding "Pray and you may find out?" After speaking he shook his wings and mane off and started back out of the forest, nothing like a good swim after a meal.

Squee laughed... "perhaps it will be you that needs to pray... Zodiac.. " she Licked her lips and turned to follow him... staying a few feet to his side... using this gesture to show that she was his Equal... and not his follower... " I am surprised you shared the kill so readily... it shows you have some grace... " her voice was light... but smooth... she slowly closed the distance...
Noticing they were headed to the river... a thought entered her head and she decided to go with it... she reached out... and tapped him on the shoulder... "Tag" she said then bounded off laughing. She hoped he was not ALL grumpy.. that he had some play in him...

"Ha, I doubt it." Was his first response, he had no belief in higher powers nor 'luck' per say. Most things happened for a reason and the reason was usually a lot of effort to achieve, shrugging as the walked he carried on towards the beach.
He mulled over the sharing thing, he hadn't meant to share so readily. What was supposed to happen is he had his share then she got left overs... but things had moved quicker than he'd thought at the attraction she unconsciously was showing towards him worked in her favor. Should it though? He pondered that, had she meant to show it, knowing it would aid her in getting her own way. Zodiac didn't really like the idea of being played at his own game, not in that way he liked to stay and be on top of things.
Just as he was about to make his comment about the whole sharing thing he felt the tap on his shoulder, stopping and turning to her. Blinking as the word sprang from her mouth and she bounced away from him laughing. Tag? Wow... it had been a while since he played this... with his brother, a very long long time ago.
Screw it. Was his last thought before pouncing after her with a predatorial
look on his face, little did he know whether his rough and tumble version of tag was anything like the one she was used to. They'd both find out if he managed to tag her with his body but for now he was using a moderate pass to try and catch her up, eyed fixated on her as his paws sped across the ground.

Squee laughed... letting it carry behind her joyously... "think you can keep up Zodiac?" her voice daring him to catch her. she looked behind her to see if he was following... and she tripped on a root...
cursing she flipped head over heals... and landed with a resounding Splash in the river. She looked up in time to see Zodiac and she prayed he would not be to rough...

Keeping his moderate pace of chasing he smirked and yelled out his response, even now he seemed to be catching up on her slowly "I Believe I can manage." Smirking to himself he was about to switch to a slightly faster pace, allowing the gap to close but suddenly didn't need to as she tripped head over paw into the river. Keeping his pace it was only a moment before he was in the air and she was his target, his aim to throw his entire weight down on her to push her under and force her into submission. Thats how his brother and himself had played, even if the tagger had to drag the other out of the water sometimes due to a slightly unconscious state.

 Hrm... could have sworn i replied to this... stupid gaia!
Squee saw Zodiac launch into the air and realized she probably should try to swim away... she relaxed her body and let the current take her a few feet down stream. She looked up after she grabbed on to a log... she was out of the way enough that Zodiac couldn't land on her... so she started to climb out of the cool water

As he hit the water with an almighty splash he made sure not to let it disorientate him and as he sunk under the water he caught sight of her tail. Smirking ear to ear he grabbed it within his teeth and yanked down with enough force that hopefully her wet form would slide right back down into the water. So his initial idea to do a body slam tag hadn't worked, this would do, and as he tugged he made sure to announce loud enough for her to hear as he finished his yank on her tail "TAG!"
Laughing he took the opportunity where she would hopefully be slipping and making a splash of her own to push himself away and out of her flailing reach. Getting a heady head start where the roles where reversed, now he had become the prey in the game of tag and that meant a heedy start and some sneaky maneuvers...
