Airi's expression was unreadable as she listened to Silver's explanation. "Are you asking me for something to guard?" The small girl looked down at Silver, her eyes again half closed, and then stepped off the railing, floating down onto the floor like a snowflake. When her feet touched the floor next to kneeling Silver, she put a hand on his shoulder, not without hesitation.
"You need to guard what you want to guard." - she said quietly, stressing the word 'want'. "You don't want to have others make that choice for you, or you become nothing but a pawn in someone else's game, Silver."
Having made her point, Airi took a a few floatey steps back, before Silver would have a chance to touch her. Physical contact would be on her terms, if she could help it.

He looked up at her, head tilting to one side, in thought. "What you plan for the fa'e...What may come...Is it dangerous?" He spoke quietly, without accusation in his tone. Living was dangerous for even humans. How much more dangerous must it be for supernatural beings?

If Airi wasn't such a serene, elegant, ethereal and mystical self, she would have given Silver a big fat 'DUUUUUUH'. However, that would be utterly out of character for someone so very serene, elegant, ethereal and mystical. So Airi took a few more steps back and uttered dryly.
"Life outside is dangerous. Can you protect the Fa'e from life?"

"Life isn't something you can protect someone from." He shrugged a little, thinking. "But the dangers that seek out the fa'e. The ones that would lock us in a collection, or destroy us like Chaos. They exist out there."

Suddenly there was genuine interest in Airi's eyes: "What dangers do you speak off? Have you witnessed something that you feel might be a danger to yourself and others? What do you mean 'lock in a collection'? I don't understand ..."

"Not as of yet. They are not big enemies, visable threats, like chaos. I have heard rumors, whispers among the streets and in the dark underbelly of society. I have tried to deter them as I can." He shrugged again, shifting so that he was kneeling on both knees, sitting on his feet, as his teacher had shown him. "They are also enemies that there are...difficulties just eliminating, as they are protected under the legal system, so killing them could be seen as murder. It is a sticky situation."

"Killing them?" - Airi looked genuinely shocked, taking another step back from the burly wolfman. "Silver, they haven't even DONE anything. How could you kill somebody who has not even harmed you yet? It's evil!"

Silver shrugged. "Won't unless they try something. Just saying that even then, its ambiguious to the law." He remained stoic, sitting there and watching her. "I'd prefer to scare them out of doing anything in the first place, honestly. I try to not kill unless i have to."

"That's good ..." - Airi tried to sound encouraging. "So ... what exactly have you heard in those back alleys?" - she repeated her previous question again, hopeful for some solid information as opposed to ominous warnings

"I havn't been able to get names. But at least one higher goverment official is known to collect "oddities" as he calls them. He keeps them in a mansion, up in the mountains as the rumors hold. He or she, cause i don't know which it is, has been asking questions about us. What we are. Where we come from. I've been trying to put out misinformation, but its not really something i'm terribly good at. As far as I know, they may already know about the HQ and have it under survalliance. I'm hoping not though. This place isn't really widly known in the underbelly." He shifted his feet a little, hands resting in his lap as he reported.

The plot was definitely thickening. Airi chewed on this newly gained information for a moment, then asked as a clarification: "What kind of information have you been ... how do you say it ... putting out?"

"False locations, trails that lead back to me so that if they do try to make a move, they will come after me first. Lies about what we look like." He gave another shrug, and watched her, head tilting to one side, ears perked up a little. "Figure best they come after me first, since I can handle myself. Better then if they go after one of the youngins instead. And I havn't heard any mention of you, which is a good thing. If they learned that you were the source of the fa'e.... Well, it would make you a juicy target."

Maybe Silver expected Airi to act afraid, or at least concerned that such ominous evils had designs on her and her kind. But the dream child seemed to be ... mildly amused. Pursing her lips together in an attempt to stifle a smile, Airi nodded to Silver and responded with almost genuine gratitude in her voice:
"I am glad that you have taken the initiative to protect the Fa'e from these ... collectors. I indeed was completely unaware that such dangers threatened the fa'e children. I really should be more aware of the outside world then I have been. As of me being threatened by these collectors - I wouldn't worry your head about it. If Chaos himself has not been able to penetrate the HQ, how could lesser uninvited guests even hope to do the same?"
She floated up a few inches, straightening majestically: "I am glad you have informed me about these collectors and if you will be so kind as to keep me informed, I would be most grateful." She paused, collecting her thoughts: "Is there anything else you wish of me today?"
