Amaranta could see her brother calculating his move. If she was away of what he was thinking, he had it lined up perfectly. It would still take some skill though, he had to give it enough power but not too much. She really had given him a hard shot to line up, perhaps it would have been more civil to give him an easier goal first, she made it a mental note next time to go a little easier.
"Go ahead Lucianus you can do it." there she thought she had helped her civil level increase a bit. She rocked back and forth on her hunches waiting for him to take his shot.

Lucian smiled at his sister and gave the stone a knock. Off it went , hitting off the side of another rock and bouncing off another rock til it rolled on a bit. Almost there, the puddle was right there andddd....
The stone made it to the edge of the puddle and stopped. Half way in and out, it was technically a victory but it was evident that Lucian needed some more practice.
"Damn," The leopard mumbled under his breath. So close but not perfect. Damn damn damn. The leopard shook his head and beat him self up mentally about the partial win. To Atia there was no partial win, only complete victory.
"Heh," He turned to his sister and actually smiled at her, "T-thanks Ama... I guess I really need to train some more..." He was slightly ashamed but he kept it to him self.

"That was a decent shot Lucianus" there that was civil. In truth Amaranta was very impressed with how well Lucian had done... although she could see what path the stone had to take to make it to the puddle she had issues with finding the right power to put behind it to get it there. Of course however she wouldn't admit any of this.
"Well I suppose it is your turn to set me a challenge." Amaranata said turning to look at her brother. She wondered how civil he would be, he had two options make it really hard and attempt to embarrass her when she failed, make it easy insinuating that she wasn't skilled enough or something in the middle... she waited to see what her brother had in store for her.

Lucianus gave her an awkward smile and looked up. What sort of challenge would he give his sister. The leopard sat there for a good moment just pondering his options. So many possibilities.
Finally one dawned on him, one that was a fair none dangerous one. After all his sister hadn't given him one that put him in harms way and they were practicing being civil right now.
"Okay Ama, " He licked his chops, "How about you catch one of the mice in the den... with out using your claws. Just by pouncing." He had noticed earlier shed been practicing on a rock. A mouse was a far better target.

Amaranta listened to her brother's challenge. It was a challenge, but one she thought she could manage. She sauntered into the den... she wanted to find a good mouse to capture.
It didn't take her long, mice were rather stupid.. you think they would learn not to inhabit a feline's den. She got ready to pounce on one that was in the very back corner, using the dens shape to help her. With the mouse cornered like this it had less chances of getting away.
She got down into a crouch position, so far she had well enough not to alert the mouse to her presence at all it seemed to be busy eating something. She played into all the necessary techniques she was low to the ground with her bottom high in the air, she was glad she such a beautiful bottom. She even went all the way with shaking her bottom back and forth before she pounced. She was careful to keep her claws tight inside her paws.
She soared through the air for what felt like forever, and then without much more effort, she found herself on top of a squirming mouse. She clasped it in her paws and turned around to look at her brother.. out stretching her paws to show her prize. She wasn't sure what she was thinking, its not like her brother was going to give her praise, but she was so proud of herself.

Lucianus gave a small bow of his head to his sister, "Bravo Ama, bravo," It wasn't a giddy complement but it wasn't a faked one either. Really, she had done the task at hand flawlessly and Lucian was NOT one to compliment with out it being deserved.
He padded on over to her and inspected the mouse and her paws. Yup no claws and the mouse was a good size. For a mouse at least.
"Well, you seem to be a master huntress already," His tone was half amused. He gave his sister a nod of approval. She'd really done good, but Lucianus wasn't about to give her the metal of glory, not right now at least.

Amaranta was very proud of herself, but with her brother giving her praise, in his own strange way she started feeling kind of awkward. She turned and places the mouse back on the floor of the den, there was no point to killing it, its not like its meet was any good. It scurried away quickly having just had the day lights scared out of it.
"Well I suppose now that we have practiced being civil, and worked on our skills.. we should go on our separate ways. Don't forget mother will be home soon no napping." she gave him a quick smile before she darted out of the den's mouth.. it was difficult for her being civil with her brother. In a way she wished that she had been able to have a relationship with her siblings but it wasn't going to work that way, it just wasn't how her family was built.

Lucianus watched as his sister left. It had been.... weird to be so civil. But honestly, he was glad he got to pretend to have some what of a normal relationship with his sister. It had been strange but at the same time he was glad he knew that he was capable of being civil.
Still, he didn't honestly like any of his siblings. Never would he try to kill them, but he had no problem stepping on toes to get what he wanted. As such, he knew his siblings would do the same.
Still, part of him wished they didnt have to battle wit their wits. The damage had already been dealt at such an early age though. Lucianus would never fully trust his siblings.
All he could do was sit and watch his sister disappear with no more love then you'd give a rival.
