It was almost as if he could read her mind, and that was just creepy. It wasn't the actual mind reading that she found creepy, it was just the fact that someone could possibly have the power to dig deep into your mind and know everything about you without ever saying a word. "Well, the world is always changing, so you best keep updating you knowledge." She commented before she spun on her heel and began to walk in the other direction.

"Errr. . . . okay." Livi rubbed the back of her neck before continuing to walk. Okay, that was weird. She thought for a moment and wondered who there was to actually speak to besides Jarell. She felt a slight chill and began to rub her arms which had goose bumps forming upon them.

Melantha was taking a late-night stroll when the sound of talking near by made her go towards the source. She saw the girl talking with the mayor from her hiding place up a tree. When Livi had started towards her street, Melantha leaped out of hiding. She walked out of the shadows. "Well hello." She purred, strolling up to her. "What are you doing out here so late?"

Livi's eyes widen at the girl who appeared before her. "I uhh. . . eerrr. . ." She glanced back towards the direction Jarrell was in. "D-Do I really have to answer that?" She asked and looked down, turning her feet inward sos he stood pigeon-toed. Jarrell had told her not to speak to anyone, but it would be rude not to respond to a question, right?

Melantha raised an eyebrown. "Well I... Suppose not." She looked in the direction she was facing. "I overheard your conversation with the mayor. Do you know exactly where your home is?"

"Home. . . . Heh. Never had a real one of those." She may have lived with her farther all her life in a house, but that was no home, it was a prison. "Well, Jarrell appearantly said my house was the third one on the left on Silent Street, didn't know you people gave away houses here." She chuckled a bit to herself and sighed.

Melantha turned to Jarell. "I wasn't freaking her out. At least not intending to. I was just offering to show her where her street was." She grinned at Jarell.

Livi's eyes fell once she saw Jarrell and stood there quietly, not looking at either one of them.

"And you also heard me tell her not to talk to anyone." Jarell said. Turning to Livi, he said "Your house is behind you." he said. Then he whispered to Melantha "Touch her not. We must gain her trust before we feed. And this will be a special feeding. For this one, she shall become one of us. If I find out that you have bothered her, you will be the first person to see my nightmare form." Jarell's nightmare form was known throughout the town. No one had ever actually seen this form, but the aftermath was always seen. Bodies, torn literally to shreds, but no blood. There was never any blood.

Melantha bared her teeth like a wolf for a heartbeat, tempted to rebel, but then calmed down. "I understand Jarell." She said and smiled respectfully at him so that Livi wouldn't get suspicious. She looked in between them and just stayed silent.
