-A silent no, that was fine, but she had to offer. If worry nagged at her mind, she might find herself trying to find him a few days time just to make sure he was alright. But for now she relented, he seemed competent enough to know when he'd had too much.
Settling the front part of her body finally to the ground, she shifted a little to get comfortable, thinking about his question mildly.- "It's a little difficult... I'm older than most of my sparring partners.. and the teacher is a bit... rough around the edges." -She paused, smiling mildly at that. It was an understatement really, she in fact wondered if anyone other than his sister enjoyed his company.-
"But I have learned alot. And it's nice to be useful and help with the hunt on occassion."
-Settling on an answer, she ended lightly.- "I won't lie and say it's something I enjoy doing, I'd much rather be minding children or other such light duties, but there is little place for that on a battlefield. So I make do. It hasn't been terrible yet."

"I only hope that you leave this battle with your life." For something told him it was unlikely he would, after his actions today it was likely that they would come after him in full force, and rip him limb from limb as an example to the Dhati. At least then maybe he could find some peace at last, his own sliver of happiness for having paid the price of his crime with his life. Innocent cubs should not be harmed in a war against adults.
His head lay heavy on his paw, he would not sleep tonight, the images of war and his actions tonight would see to that. He would rather not have nightmares.
Although he had an idea of who the trainer was he knew him not by name, his reputation spoke mostly for him. A good lion when it came to his specialism.
He ponded the rest of her statement, she did not seem that old to him, maybe about his own age, but perhaps that was due to time and age having crept up on him so fast that he did not realise his own age. "The hunt..." he muttered, knowing that their where members of the Mizimu going hungry he added, "...I am thankful for anything you have brought back." Although he added the 'you' the truth was he was always thankful to recieve a meal, especially after fighting so hard for so long. You never knew really which meal would be your last.

-She nodded softly to his sentiment, and agreement and silent offering of it back at him, though her voice rose softly out of the darkness after a long moment a quiet secret.- "I would be okay if I didn't.. as long as something good came out of it."
-Voice raising once again, she added more optimistically- "One must always wish for life though. I hope the toll is not to high on either side to tell the truth."
"Though my heart is true to the cause... I have friends in my old home and of course all of the young and sacrifices. I hope as many as them are spared as may be." -Priyasha could pray that their 'war' would be solved with little blood... that diplomacy and directed angery would lead the claws to the right sinners, the royalty, and leave the others alone. She was old enough to know better however. Her old pride was a violent and bloody one, and few rebellions were ever clean either.-
"Do you have a preference of food?" -She mused softly. It wasn't extremely likely she'd have a choice, the food was so scarce thanks to the hunter's tactics, but it was a nice thought. And if she could.. she'd be happy to bring back prey that the warriors preferred.-

He listened to her, wondering for a moment why she cared so much for the sacrifices when in the end it had been those like her who picked them to be slaughtered to please the spirits. Was it not a little contradictory? Or perhaps she like him had never really asked for their job for the pride but did as they where asked. She was here with the Dhati now afterall, trying to right the injustice she had brought to her own cub... but what about all the cubs of other mothers? What about Kato?
To tired and tender to dare move he simply lay on the ground nodding at certain intervals to show he was listening.
He knew that the both sides wanted blood, maybe not the indiviual members, but blood was wanted either way. The Dhati wanted it to show their power and to claim to have the right path, the Mizimu wanted to stop them and now to pay them back for the deeds of their members. He was sure that several cubs will have already passed away from starvation. It was for that reason that he answered politely, "Any food is good for me." He was not fussy, food was food, and on a truely empty stomach it all tasted pretty much the same anyway. "Thank you for the thought though.... but just catching something is lucky." Just like in battle you did not always get to pick your opponant, or who would strike first; you simply tried to surive the experience.
The truth was that although he wanted to help the Dhati in their cause, he was mainly using them as a means to his own vengence, a vengence he was currently questioning.
He allowed his eyes to look at her again, but more lazily this time as his head remained rested on his paw. She was a beautiful creature that had not wiltered with age, and far more complex than one would first believe. Below each layer there was something hidden awaiting to be discovered -he was sure it would take a life time to uncover the truth of her. Perhaps that was the mystery of all woman, one wrong word and they hated you but one right word at just the right time and they would be yours forever. How was a man to know? They where the deadliest creatures of all and likely to be the downfall of them all.
He closed his eyes for a moment an image of Kato flashed into his mind, he was smiling at him with warmth and moving her paw as if to tell him to 'go on', she would do that often when he procrascinated leaving her for battle, always wanting just one more moment with her. Slowly, dreamily, he opened his eyes and looked at Priyasha again, pausing for a moment before speaking. "What do you miss most?"

-She nodded simply to his words, reguarding them with mild thought and understanding, before she let them slide away. It had been different before, with young ones.. with time and prey to spare to pick and choose what food tasted the best on your tongue. But when one was truely hungry... taste rarely played a part. Even the most delicious meats often went untasted rushing down the throat towards a ravenous stomach.
He looked like he was more comfortable now, his whole body seeming to slip closer and closer to sleep. It seemed sleep had won out over pain, perhaps his body was already on it's way to healing. She was surprised actually when words sounded again, and she shifted, thinking for a moment. For awhile now.. she would have answered 'being useful' but it finally seemed she was that again here... and for that it she was thankful. Control maybe...? She didn't particular like the feeling of being washed this way and that that the dangerous times brought.-
"Hmmmm..." -She purred, answering finally.- "Probably rousing lazy little bodies in the morning." -She had loved that... even as her children had gotten older.. more independent.. when they slept they were still her little angels, almost as if she could possess them forever.- "It would be nice to have any simple pleasures here really... but the battle field is no place for families or lazy days of simply having fun."
"Hopefully soon though."
