Would the wonders never cease?
Greenriders and goldriders volunteering to be his sparring partner, but none of the men were man enough to step up? F'sey rubbed the bridge of his nose and shook his head, displeasure obvious as he let his gaze linger on the boys before he focused on his newest victims. The Weyrlingmaster sniffed. Well, at least no one could say they weren't asking for it. Beckoning Rinfala with a finger, he nodded to the young goldrider.
"You first. Are you sure you will be able to keep Arioth under control today?" he asked, the bitterness in his voice barely masked. His first encounter with the pushy young Queen was hardly forgetable and he didn't need any repeats, thank you very much. Besides, it's not like he could just shave Rinfala again. Hopefully she had learned her lesson.
"Once you are sure, you may come ahead at me. Use whatever technique you think appropriate."

Mouth twisting slightly, Rinfala looked at Arioth. I might seem hurt, but I won't be. This will keep me from getting hurt if I get in a real fight. Not that anyone with the sense of a wherry would pick a fight with a goldrider, but stranger things happened. Try not to get worked up about it, will you? I'd rather you didn't get stuck eating last again.
Air rushing through her nostrils in a quiet snort, Arioth turned her head towards Rinfala. You will not be hurt from this? Her eyes whirled green, but an uneasy hint of yellow lurked around the edges. I will...behave. Casting a glance at her clutchmates, she rearranged her wings before settling herself to watch, every inch attempting to give the impression of a proud queen, although she stiffened slightly at the mention of eating last. That will not happen this time.
"Alright then." With a shrug and a wry look at F'sey, Rinfala dropped into what she thought she remembered as a fighting stance. It'd been a long time since she played at fighting with the boys back in Keroon (oh, how her sister had scorned that), but as she threw an experimental swing, Rin hoped she'd remembered enough.
