It still was hard to see their mother so tired like that, not so much because of the unsightly scars and open wounds marring her beautiful blue fur, but because her movements were a little slower than they were when the trio had been pups - slightly, barely perceptible, but there still. To acknowledge either Disneyana's or Allah's aging was something Fantasia refused to do, however, so when the two brothers finally reached her he switched his mind off the silly topic. There were far more important things at paw than something as inevitable and dreary as aging!
"It looks really good, Ma," he commented with a warm smile, nuzzling her flank in greeting. The scent of roses would have been overwhelming had he not grown up literally among them; their scent could practically be confused for the plant's! "No-one will be getting in so easily on your watch! Take a break, please, we can handle the rest and you've done so much today already. We were discussing the pack earlier, and Yensid came up with the most amazing name for it." Fanta stepped back and glanced towards him with an inviting gesture of his paw.

Disneyana smiled and nuzzled Fantasia adoringly before happily nuzzling Yensid and licking his cheek. She gazed at the roses and smiled proudly as if they were her children as well. "They do look quite a sight don't they? What do you think of a little sumac in between...it can be rather nasty if touched." She laughed softly at Fantasia's exclamation.
"No I don't intend to let anyone intrude on our peaceful home, your father is doing an amazing job with the dens. Their going to be quiet palatial." She slowly slid to lay down feeling tired from all her hard work. "I suppose I should take a break, but winter comes and the roses will need extra care during the frigid months." She looked at Yensid curiously surprised he hardly ever spoke let alone to offer ideas.
"Is that so? Please share Yensid, I should like to know what we'll be calling ourselves?"
~
Yensid felt warmer and startled as his brother turned the spotlight on him, at least their mother was resting. He sat down and glanced at Fantasia, clearly he was going to have to say himself though.
"Well...I thought that The Order of the Rose was rather fitting..." He finally murmured his voice deep. He smiled as he saw his mother brighten.

"Isn't it?" Fantasia added, deciding poor Yensid had had enough of the spotlight for the day and patting his shoulder several times. "Do you like it? It makes sense that a pack banked within roses should have them in the name, not to mention it shows our respect for the plants. And order! Everything has its place here thanks to all the hard work we've been doing." He smiled proudly for a moment before continuing on. "You said sumac, Momma? Be careful, they might still be hard to find even in the late summer; we don't want you to get poisoned by accident by walking through them unknowingly." Although by now maybe the leaves would be turning red, making them easier to spot . . . Still, Fanta was overprotective of his family.

"Thats a marvelous name! I do think it's wonderfully fitting, I'm glad your all working so hard and so well together." She let out a soft laugh and nodded as Fanta warned her to be careful.
"Don't you worry my love I'll be careful, I'll coat my muzzle with some mud before and wash off right after that should keep me safe." She was touched by how protective and sweet her children had grown to be, yes it seemed she and Allah had managed to raise the very best children any parent could hope for. Certainly though all parents felt that way, but still she liked to think her children really were the best.

Yensid relaxed as his brother took back over the aspect of conversation and nodded softly at his warning for their mother. He knew that she had lived among the meadow and wild plants and flowers long before they had been born but lately she seemed to focused on her task that she allowed herself to feel the p***k of a thorn, something that Yensid couldn't recall ever before.
He relaxed as she assured them she would be careful and a soft smile finally found his muzzle softening his expression. He gently nuzzled his brother grateful that Fantasia had interceded.

"All right. But not now, Mom. Right now, I want you to go to sleep," Fantasia insisted, glancing at the barely red-rimmed horizon line in the distance, never a smooth line due to all of the trees. "You've been up since the sun peaked itself up from the earth, and you must be so tired. There's always tomorrow to finish up whatever you were doing." He nudged her flank towards their original dens - once so small, but now large enough to house them all comfortably, rimmed with roses and vines in a decorative manner - no doubt something either of their parents had attended to, or perhaps Terabithia. Or all three, for that matter! He didn't have an eye for that sort of stuff, but it looked professional to him all right. "We'll help you in the morning so it's not as tough, all right?"

Yensid nodded in silent agreement to their mother, rest was what she needed.
Disneyana laughed and nipped playfully at Fantasia, "I remember having to urge you to go to bed..." She sighed wistfully. "and now...your growing so fast." She nuzzled him and Yensid once more before slipping off towards the dens to find her mate and sleep.
Yensid glanced at his brother and nuzzled him thankfully before tipping his muzzle and slipping back, silent as ever ready to find a better way to help come the dawn.

Aah, but he wasn't growing up fast enough! The responsibility of keeping such strict rules would be hard, yes, but Fanta felt he was more than ready to take it on. He had been practicing adding more eloquence to his vocabulary because he was sure it would be neccessary in the days to come; an alpha who misspoke or gave words freely would be an ill-omened one indeed. But he was thankful that his family was so supportive of the idea and willing to help in whatever manner they could - truly, they were part of those Fate called prosperous. "Don't remind us," Fantasia replied with a smile, nudging her flank again as they walked as one to the den, the sun setting at their backs. |~| Sounds good to me! |~|
