Yeah, we modify NERF guns and the like to shoot farther and harder. It's fun.

Awesome!
I would so do that to, if I know how. But I also never have the required tools. That seems to be my problem with most things I want to do. (no tools or supplies)

Really all you need is a good dremel, some sort of high strength bonding agent (epoxy is popular, I use hot glue even though it doesn't hold as well), and something to replace the barrel with (I use CPVC because it's dirt cheap and it works well with stock darts).
There's also another nerfer in Wichita, his name on the 'haven is Keith. He could probably help you out some.

OK 1, I have no idea what a "dremel" is, and 2, no money to buy CPVC, even if it is "dirt cheap" (because I'm broke)
But the idea is appealing.

A Dremel is a name brand of rotary tool. A rotary tool is a tool that you can attach certain tips on to perform different tasks (ie: engraving, cutting, sanding, and polishing to name a few). But since Dremel is a company that specializes in rotary tools, it's become a generalized name. Like Band-Aids.
Yeah it is sort of an expensive hobby.

Allright! REVIEW! Dude said he wanted a water cannon. I provided a link to a DIY water cannon. ~~But I think you grasped that. ONWARD! The link to the Supersoaker site which reminded me to check a site about NERF guns I visit. Dude inquired about Nerfing and I gave him a list of supplys he would need. I explain to Dude what a dremel tool is. You interject and tells us that we make no sense. I respond: Quote: Allright! REVIEW! Dude said he wanted a water cannon. Ok, I got most of it... but where did "dremel tool" come into a list of "NERF guns"? Dremel's are for.. well, dremeling, not water guns... (And I wanted to join in earlier but I didn't understand it.) sweatdrop

To increase water pressure and have it shoot farther.
It's not wasting it. Just turning it into a "water cannon"
