the last big thing that happened in San Mateo was the announcement that the class of 2006 (go 06!) would be the first class to graduate from San Mateo High School. that, and SMHS had the best field show in 10 years.

we are preparing for our 100th aniversery...and to celebrate we are getting a float in the rose perade...and also having city events. (Newport Beach). and there are also prenty of other things that go on in this city... like music, boat expos, beach, and more

Today a girl from the school where my mom works got hit by a train.
from what i've heard she died on impact.
..what i've heard..
group of kids were cutting class, drinking out behind school on other side of fence by tracks.
boyfriend said "if you love me, you'll follow me." and crossed tracks infront of oncomming Amtrack train.
she followed.
she didnt make it.
apparently the boyfriend went home, kinda explained what happened then jumped into a van with some friends, saying he wanted to kill himself.
van hasnt been found.
on news earlier there was a report that a man was hit by a train. name and age were unknown.
name of girl, school and location withheld for respect to family, friends.

What's going on in my city?
I live in Anaheim, California.
It's business as usual... graft, corruption, rampant stupidity on the part of the City Council (20,000 more homes in Anaheim Hills?) never enough spent on important things like roads and infrastructure, too much spent on useless things to please the Mou$e...

I think there was a farmers market a few days ago. Let's see. After the entire town crowds into 20 billion churches tomorrow, there might be an easter egg hunt in the park for the kids. I'll be a hermit in my room as usual. Nothing ever, and I do mean, ever, happens in Tehachapi.
