Well hello, i'm one of those die-hard (<~ god i love that expression....*cough*) Diru cosplayers Pink_Sushi mentioned. (I play Kyo) Normally i go by the name Lucifer, just in case there ever becomes reference to it so people aren't confused.
I found Dir en grey a couple years ago when i learned of jrock. I didn't really get into it at the time, mostly because i was on 56k (and didn't have a laptop that went with me everywhere) and knew nothing of file sharing programs. A while back i stumbled across jrock again, and this time took a closer look at it. Deg and Pierrot were instant favorites. (and have been ever since)
Favorite album: not sure? Songs: Audrey, Mushi, Cage, Child Prey, Obscure, Garden Member: Kyo (_especially_ when he's covered head to toe in blood/other bodily fluids) PV: Cage, Saku, Garden, [KR] Cube
Interesting event: I earned the nickname "Bondage Queen" by showing some of my classmates the Cage PV. Only school nickname i've ever had. o_o; hm....what else.... I like mayonnaise~

Hello! I'm Kristin...which has been shortened to Kri by most people I know. I'm 14 and from Pennsylvania.
I got into Jrock about 3 years ago...I heard a little before then but never really payed much attention. What really got me into it was Dir en grey. I was online and in a fairly large anime/Jpop stage when I just kinda stumbled across a site that mentioned DeG and had some pictures up(kinda creepy at first!). So I downloaded the song Cage and loved it instantly. Though some songs needed a little warming up too I pretty much like them all. They're very diverse and really inspiring - some draw up a lot of feeling. It seems a few people have gone through a Jpop to Jrock stage...intereseting...
Favorite Member: Kaoru! ^_^ But All the others are close seconds, there's something to love about all of them Favorite Album: Hmm... Gauze > Kisou > Macabre > Vulgar (but they're all great, it really depends on my mood) Favorite Song: This is tough... Mushi, Mr. Newsman, Raison d^etre are just some of them Favorite PV: Cage, Akuro no Oka, Yokan, [KR] Cube
What I like About Them:
It's hard for a lot of bands to create multiple styles. And with the stupid label thing going around, bands want to play "punk" music to be "punk" Dir en grey doesn't try to be anything. They do what they like. And each of their songs are different or have something special about it. The members individually are very unique. Kyo's voice is one of the most amazing I've ever heard. Kaoru's ability to compose music is just...Woah. And Die - Have you watched his hands play the guitar!? O.O TOshiya can play the bass to get such continuous and flowy sounds. Shinya can play the drums incredibly! I love their diversity. Their music is so unique there's nothing that I can really describe it to. I'll shut up now ^_^ You get the idea
Fangirliness:
I don't like it. It bothers me when people only like something for looks rather then the true talent nad for the music. But I'd be lying if I said looks weren't important. One of the things that draws me to Dir en grey is their awesome and somewhat insane styles (and somewhat uhh...cute?) And I do have my outbursts. But I can still be serious about their music. That the main reason I admire them. Not because they're hot (but they are....but thats not my point!)
And that's most of what I have to say 3nodding
Wow...that's long sweatdrop
I could go on more but my hand is getting sore
