"Pale... told me you might be able to tell me if I will get pregnant." She spoke relatively fast, it almost being hard for her to say that one... long, but short... sentence.

Aes nodded slowly "I knew the answer from the moment you came into here, of course. Still, I think it's best if you bring the would be father in here first."

"I... can't do that. If it's a no, then I don't even want him to really know... If it's a yes, then I'm just afraid he would get mad at me..." She looked out the glass door, it being a very nice day indeed. Everything in the world seemed to be still for her though.. the thought of knowing was killing her.

Aes rolled his eyes. Given the situation, he would be nervous too, but he told himself he was acting immature because it touched on two subjects he was sensitive about: children and youkai abilities.
What he would have to tell them would surely rock the clan. He went to the back and began to prepare the usual medicines.

Jay would enter the office, gently holding Rayne's hand as he lead her in and sat in the waiting chair with her, remembering almost the entire conversation last night. "Ok...she might be pregnant" he thought as he took a deep breath and looked over to her, hugging her once more and saying. "No matter what the descision...I'll still be with you"

With a small smile to his comment, he walked into the room a bit more, an open door now in front of her. It looked like a never-ending hall. She lightly called to Aes, hoping he was still there.

Aes heard the voice and emerged from the closets, about 5 vials in his hand. "Mistress Rayne? What can I do for you today?"

She took a few steps towards him putting her hands out a few inches towards him, "Do you need some help?" She smiled, it not really looking like he was struggling, but an extra hand was always nice.

He shook his head, and sat them down on the wooden counter. "Actually, I might have to leave these out. Well," and here he quickly put down one with a large red x on it into a small cubby hole "not that one...for the rats, you see. But the others should stay." He looked around. Hadn't Pale come with her before? "Have you come alone this time?"

She shook her head glaring back, giving a weak smile when she saw Jay. Turning back around so mentioned, "I was wondering if you might be able to give me the answer to the question I asked you the other day." She looked down at her stomach again, as if there was something there, then back up at the doctor. "If you can't give me an answer that would be fine though. I would just have to wait a few weeks to see if I have changed any..." She started to twiddle with her fingers, the feeling of knowing something extremely important in her mind. If the answer was no, she would be happy... but if it was yes... she wasn't really ready to accept the feeling of truly being pregnant, but if it came to that, she would have to.

Aes paused, then motioned for Jay to come closer. "Of course I can give you the answer. However, signs of pregnancy are normally detected in either two weeks by missed periods, or three months by physical changes. Your child is a human, although your body has yet to determine the gender of it." His eyes flickered to each of them, waiting for them to process the news.

Nodding, he quickly arose and walked towards Rayne, standing next to her nervously as he looked to Aes and then nodded. Aes seemed to have craftfully given them the answer in that rather blatant statement. With a small grin, he would look to Rayne and then say "Erm...did you get all of that?" sweatdrop

Even though his words seemed to shatter everything, it seemed to open up a new passage. She was agile to take it at first, but she knew she could take on the newly created challenge. Her eyes hadn't left Aes for at least two minutes. She was still taking in the concept, her eyes hazed over, a dull blue to them. Finally nodding, a light smile crossed her face. She really didn't know a lot about the human reproductive system so at first it seemed a bit confusing. Grasping the information she blinked, the glassy texture returning to her eyes once more. She focused back on his words, letting him continue.
