Pandara nodded acknowledging all those who greeted her. "Hello, Mirela, Voltaire, Anjette. Well, it's obvious we need to get moving fast to retrieve the young one." She stepped down from her wagon ready to move on ahead, her concern showing only slightly through her usual smile.

Valelldia barged out of her wagon after she had awoken from a dream. She looked towards the others with concern high in her eyes, running towards everyone.

"Go on! There can be no wait you must move with haste." She stopped huffing in the spot she stood. "Move and leave the children with me, I don't want them in danger for this it must only be yourselves." Val picked up Anjette and Kale leaving their guardians no time to argue comming back for the other toddlers after she placed the two into her wagon. "Go on, that should be enough to handle the situation and be careful, grief and fear can attract dangerous beings in the dark woods, even when their intent isn't such."

Valelldia shut her door to the wagon, giving no one a chance to argue or question her staying to watch the children or ask her to help them out. This was not a task for the head of the caravan, that might be too intimidating right now for Lorelei. What she needed right now was just a few members of the caravan and maybe some new friends.

Voltaire was positively shocked at the sudden outburst of Valelldia. So shocked he didn't have time to react to Pandara before Annjette was taken from him. He didn't argue though, thankful that she was safe.

Annjette, however, did argue she let out a ten second anxious sounding wail before suddenly something shiny on the Gypsy-woman's person distracted her and she decided to pay attention to that instead. Annjette sniffled still, however, seeming bitter about the prospect of being left.

"Alright then, thank you sweet lady. Take good care of her." He of course spoke of Annjette. He moved past everyone and got an extra lantern that laid hidden in a clever compartment and then he made off toward the woods, but he waited for the others to follow him. It seemed foolish to be seperated straight away. During his wait he made sure the lantern was lit -- he felt a bit silly that he was about ready to dash off into the nice scary woods with an unlit lantern.

Pandara watched Valelldia rush as quickly back to the wagon as she watched her rush out, only with the toddlers in tow. She smiled a bit, because she never really was one to wipe it off her face even when danger was mentioned.
Pandara looked towards Voltaire, "Alright, ready to hoof on foreword." He seemed to be an elf which didn't bother Pan one bit, she actually felt in place here almost like home and it wasn't anything she had felt for a long time.

She remembered someone asking about gifts and turned to that person. "Well, I have an affinity towards plants, they talk to me that could be of use although sometimes with trees they will talk so slow it may take a day for a sentance then they get annoyed if you rush them." She laughed trying to lighten the mood, "Then you get some flowers that will giggle so much and tease you they don't tell you anything of use really, but those frivilous things are their lot. Ferns are alright, I myself find shrubs to be of the best sorts for information but I suppose we will see." Her jabbering slowed down a bit. "Mostly I just ask them where the nearest herb is, don't really try to find people much."

Emelyn stood, knives in her belt. Her thoughts were with Pierre- but Val said she would watch after him, so she pushed the child from her mind. Now, one of their own was in trouble.

"Lead the way, Pales." She said, staring out into the tuldry wood.

Mirela had watched silently as Valelldia had appeared and ushered the children into her caravan. Although she didn't know for certain, she assumed this would make it easier for the fortunette parents to focus upon the task that lay before them.

Her sapphire eyes turned back toward Pandara as she heard the woman mention that plants talk to her. Plants can talk? she repeated to herself, a frowning tugging down the corners of her lips. With a shake of her head she refocused her mind upon finding the lost gypsy, figuring that there would be plenty of time to talk with Pandara at a more convient time.

"We had best move out" Mirela spoke softly, moving to stand beside Emelyn, "who knows the dangers that lie within the woods".

Voltaire glanced around the gathering of supporters for a brief moment, letting out a soft breath. He had no real talent that he could speak of other than the fact he could sing and play almost anything on the violin after hearing the tune played by ear. The half-elf's magical talents likely laid locked up and dormant deep inside him. He was always content with what he had and thus never bothered to unlock anything, "Right then!" he responded before turning and stepping into the woods being careful not to stray far from the others behind him. Voltaire had left a couple of extra lanterns sitting in the area before where he entered the wood, just in case the other gypsies felt they needed an extra bit of light for their own use.

This was going to be a long night...

"I'm right behind you," Emelyn whispered comfortingly... though she didn't know why her voice was so low- the forest seemed to hold none but them, and her words echoed off the silent trees. Her hands were at her skirts, bundling them slightly in her grasp so they wouldn't catch the underbrush as they went.

"Where exactly are we going?" She whispered again, loud enough for Pales to hear. "Where is she being held?"

But something else answered her. There were voices coming from inside a nearby clearing. They were melodious voices, yes, but something was off - maybe it was the pitch, maybe the cadence of their sentences.

It sounded horrific.

"I say we sacrifice her. It would certainly assure us safe passage!"

"No, no - we can't! We promised she would be safe..."

"You promised to let her sleep and be at peace - if we sacrifice her, she'll never need to wake up again, and we can move on without all this worrying about her!"

"How can you be so heartless?"

"We are all of us born lacking hearts." The man - or woman? - speaking sniffed, crossing its arms. "I just decided not to go on a search for mine the way you have. I didn't want to be weak."

The faerie he was talking to wrinkled up its nose and curled closer to the prone form of Lorelei on the ground. It stared at the woman for a while, then yelped when the red-head convulsed and whimpered, frowning.

"What's wrong with her?" it cried out, stroking Lorelei's hair.

"She's having a nightmare. You told her it might happen. There's no point to protecting her now - she'll be stuck in a living hell for the rest of her life this way. You can't risk bringing her back."

One of the faeries in the silent group watching lifted its head, pushing its long hair over one shoulder with a flourish.

"We have visitors," it said, and motioned for the woods.

Em stopped dead in her tracks, dropping her skirts in surprise, and looking at the others with a puzzled look across her face.

"Now, I didn't catch all that," she hissed in a whisper, "But I think that's not a good sign." She put her hands to one of her three daggers and took a step back.

"...Is someone there?" She said, knowing that it probably wasn't the brightest thing to say- but what else was there?

Pan waited holding her sling. Something felt familiar in those voices, she geuss they were fae but was not certain enough to voice that geuss. She looked at a nearby tree for answers telepathically talking to it.

"Weeeeeeeellllllllll, Baaaaaaaaaaaaccccccckkkkkk aaaa feeeuuwwww mommmeeeeents aaaagooo...." No she shut of link all be it rudely, just as she suspected the trees of this woods were old and therefor slow in conversation.

She just waited for an answer right now, that was the best way to find out what was going on although fae meddling with mortels didn't always turn out that great. Pan was a product of one meddling already.

The branches at the edge of the clearing were pushed back, revealing a group - much smaller than when Lorelei had arrived, though none of the observers could know that - of black and white tall, long-haired creatures. They were quite obviously fae, what with the tell-tale long ears, the ethereal looks... the attitude. Well, from the attitude, they seemed like rather snarky fae folk.

"Oh, more humans! Lovely. Just what we need," one said - the one that had suggested sacrifice. "Go along home and tell stories, little girls. We don't have time for-"

"Do be quiet!" the faerie by Lorelei shrieked, rising to its feet. It held out its hands, pleading. "Come, come! They will not harm you. I think we might need your help..."

"Ammesien," the confrontational one sighed, distractedly, "stop with the small talk. Though..." It glanced at the gypsies. "I don't suppose you'd like to take her off our hands for us? The red-head, not my dear sister there.

"On second thought..."

"Stop it!" Ammesien shouted. It was odd, how human these faeries could seem. Or at least, the two in the middle. Those along the outer edge of the clearing watched, stoic, as she looked once more at Emelyn and the others. "Do you know this girl? We need somebody to care for her, so we can move on. She's in trouble..."

Lorelei cried in her sleep, wriggling a little on the ground.

They were a strange sight, these fae- black and white, those ethereal looks and long, almost unreal hair- there was no doubt in her mind they were magical, but that didn't help her explain exactly what they were, or why Lorelei was laying on the ground near them, looking to be in a catatonic state, writhing almost imperceptibly on the forest floor.

"Oh dear lord," Em said, dropping her hand from her dagger belt, even though something in her head screamed that they were not yet safe- some of those faeries didn't quite seem friendly. But she was more concerned at the sight of her gypsy sister. "Yes, she's one of us," Emelyn said, since they seemed to have asked her as well as the others, "What happened to her? Of course we'll take her, but we have to know what happened!"
