"Oh, devils and demon-bags!" haveni muttered in her own thoughts, realizing she was being followed. "They've caught onto me!" She bit her lower lip, a habit of gnawing frustration she had always had. "I've got it....this will work perfectly!" She thought, a small smirk upon her lips.
Leaping out of the underbrush, her eyes wide in fear, she pointed past the two, shrieking. "Run! It's a five-headed bumblescruff-eater! RUN AWAY!"
With that diversion successfully performed, she leapt back into the shadows, disappearing in the trees as if running for her life - though it was really just a detour; her plan to make them forget about the potential shiny object should definitely work, in her mind, anyways.

It definitely felt a little strange to actually be rushing after something she had no idea of its actual location, but it gave her something to do rather then think, wander, and stare off at the sky all the time. She wondered about those two from before as well, and if anyone else was out in the forest looking for these pieces of heart. Not only that, she pondered on the possible danger she could be putting herself into by pursuing these items. It was too late to be pondering on what could happen because of her decision though. She was there and would continue until the very end. Assuming nothing drastic would happen of course.
She had been running awhile now, hoping that maybe she'd come across this item she was searching for without actually going to the village or even another in pursuit of it as well. She didn't like being in such a dangerous place alone. However, it wasn't long after that thought, that she faintly heard screaming from the direction she had seen the two twilef from before go in after that other one. Just what was going on?

Girisha looked around as they walked to see if he could see any other hint of where their treasure might be, not seeing anything, when Kliment started to talk to him. He looked up slightly with his finger in his mouth, slightly chewing on it, thinking back as to what he had been doing. "I....I wander. Make friends. Find new and shiny things." He wasnt very good at speaking since he coudlnt form full sentences, but he hoped the other would understand him. He was still you after all and he was still learning. He also thought about those he had me such as Nim, Cuire, and Kaenu and wondered if he would see them out here as well.
When Haveni suddenly jumped out and screamed that there was a five-headed bumblescruff-eater behind them he gave a squeek, since a scream wouldnt come out, and clinged to Kliment with his eyes slammed shut. He hoped whatever it was wouldnt attack them.

"Wander, do you? I'm the same." He nodded once, and was about to continue when Haveni leapt from the brush, screaming about something that sounded quite ridiculous. A... what? He only stopped in his tracks and stared, face set in a comically confused look. He'd never heard of a... whatever it was she had said, and he'd been around a time or two. Once she disappeared again, he shook his head and looked at Girisha.
"If there truly were danger, she probably would have ran toward the village," he said in - what he hoped to be - a reassuring tone. "It was probably a trick. Still, it would be best to stay on our toes. It's alright, there's no reason to be afraid."
Giving Girisha an awkward pat, he urged him along, further into the forest. "Don't worry. If anything happens, I'll take care of it." At least, he hoped he'd be able to. An odd feeling was stirring in his gut, one he couldn't explain.

Rylia had come to a stop, staring in the direction she had heard the scream. She couldn't make out what was said no matter how hard she tried to listen. She sighed after a minute or so and looked back in the direction she had been traveling in. Now that she thought about it, she actually could bend into some of the surroundings since it was pretty dark. Then again, if she didn't close her eyes, she would either be easily noticed or be mistaken for a pair of floating eyes, which intrigued her for a minute thinking about the possibility of that happening. Not likely. She stared in the direction, no longer hearing anymore sounds and then pressed on.

Hands clasped loosely in front of his chest, the phyri wandered the village, eyes thoughtful and scanning his surroundings. He had never been to a festival, much less the village at all, as today had been his first day of being "alive". Breathing a deep breath, Harou let the strange air fill his lungs, releasing it in a heavy sigh.
What was he supposed to do, again? The woman had been speaking of a vengeful spirit, and then she had taken those things - shiny, beautiful stones, it appeared - and sent them on their way. Were they alive? Was he supposed to chase them? Either way, he had, hooves clomping lightly over the village grounds as he searched this way and that.
He wasn't sure if he was allowed to go into any houses, but when he peeked into one, he didn't see anyone inside. They all seemed to be deserted, the effect being an eerie and foreboding one. His tail swished uneasily.
His head snapped upward when he heard the soft beating of wings, and watched as a creature flew overhead. Curiosity overtook him, and he couldn't help but attempt to follow the creature, debating whether this was all a good idea or not.
Well, if he did die today, at least he hadn't had time to make any friends yet. It wasn't much of a consolation, knowing he wouldn't be missed if a vengeful spirit decided to take her wrath out on him.

Girisha opened his eyes and looked around. "No danger?" He stopped clinging to tightly to Kliment and just stayed close to him. He still felt as if they might be in danger. He looked around at the surrounding forest and felt as if something really was out there and was dangerous.
He followed along next to Kliment and watched where they were going for signs that the woman had come this way or if they had gone somewhere different and their prize lay elsewhere. So far he didnt spot any but he did make sure to keep an eye out. For anything that might change their journey, weather that be to a good successful one or to a bad one.

"That's right, no danger... for now." He didn't want to scare the boy, but it was good that he was staying on his toes, too. Kliment nodded in approval, casting his gaze this way and that. Anxiety clutched his heart when he realized he couldn't see the glimmer anymore. Did that woman make off with it? He frowned, but didn't say anything until a few moments later.
"Girisha, do you see anything?" he asked, trying to scan ahead. It was a bit dark in the forest, at least, compared to the village, and although he was used to that, he wondered vaguely of Girisha knew where he was stepping. It was alright if the twilif felt better holding onto him; he was far too used to that with the likes of Cuire. Some just needed that security.

Aeos dropped to the ground after a moment, having lost sight of the Piece of Heart. Another reason he’d stopped was because outside of the dull flaps of his wings, he had heard a scream from the direction of the forest. Had something happened? His mind tempted the idea of heading backwards, towards the forest just to see what was going on. However, that would mean he’d given up this direction, wouldn’t it?
Shaking his head and letting his wings settle in a delicate fold, he considered what else he had heard. The telltale clip-clops of a creature with hooves and four legs, from the sound of it echoed slightly in the silence. Aeos turned around with a blink, the ice beneath his feet clipping off from the ground due to the motion.
A soft rumble rose from his throat, not quite a purr, but more of a threatening growl. This place was dangerous, who knew what could be following if he were not careful?
Then again, it could just be more of the village creatures following this particular route.

"A five-headed bumblescruff-eater? There's no such thing!" Avantea thought, staying on Haveni's tail, trying to be as discreet as possible. She had a strong feeling that following the candle-maker was the best option for now. Something was going to happen, she was certain of it.
The forest was now full of sounds as more and more people spread out, joining the search. Still, none of them were too close.. and Ava was quite sure that they weren't going to find anything too soon. So even if following Haveni didn't pay off in the end, she'd still make it back to spy on the others.
All in all, no matter what happened she'd still have a story to tell in the future, a memory forever etched into her mind.

Rylia came to a stop as she walked up to a village, blinking as she looked around. It seemed deserted. If not for the houses and vegetation in the area, she would have thought it desolate. Sighing, she took a deep breath before she wandered slowly into the area, looking around. She didn't spot no one, suddenly starting to feel a little strange, almost a chill down her back. Was she afraid? She wasn't not sure if she was or not, but she continued her walk around the village, her ears perking as she heard something. She wasn't sure what the sound was but....it certainly had to be made by someone that may also be in the area.
This revelation lifted her spirits as she increased her pace. "Hello?" she muttered softly as she looked around. As she walked, she heard more sounds, this time recognizing it. "hoofs....someone...is here.." she thought as she wandered around more. "Hello?...." she called again.

Harou stopped, blinking once at the now-grounded creature. When he emitted a low growl, the phyri tilted his head slightly, unsure as to how to react. Was this one chasing after the thing, too? He didn't know how many others were there; he didn't even know what he was looking at. Bowing his head a bit, he looked up at the snowy creature through questioning eyes.
Had he done something wrong? Probably, but he would quickly mend that. About to offer an encouraging nod to the constellation, he jerked his head back quickly when he heard the sound of another.
Hello? ... Hello?...
His ears twitched a bit, but he remained where he stood, questioning his fate should he try to run from this creature. At this rate, he would be pincered between both. Turning back to look at Aeos, his brow knit up in distress.

There was a strange, foreboding feeling about being in the village. Though the buildings were empty, it would always feel as if there were eyes watching you from behind the glass-less windows. Cursing you, perhaps.
It was an unsettling feeling left behind by the spirits of the deceased. During the time that the PoH hunt was on, others were still within the village, setting up a stage to perform the dancing ceremony, in which they re-enacted the supposed cause of the village's demise so long ago - a monster who came and devoured them, and was slain by a hero. Still, the dancing ceremony wouldn't take place until later in the evening, anyways.
Meanwhile....
Confident her diversion had worked, Haveni continued migrating through the forest, until she realized she could no longer hear others speaking, seeking that shiny piece of heart. In fact, the forest had grown deathly quiet around her. The greens of the grass were becoming darker, more ghastly grey shades. This was where the forest had begun to rot, for some strange reason.
As Haveni placed her hand upon a small, withering, upraised root of the Yggdrasil, she felt a twinge in her chest. "Poor tree."
The presence of another drew her attention behind her. Though she didn't see anything immediately, she knew who it was.
"You can come out, stalker-Avantea!"

Girisha stopped and looked around. He couldnt see the sparle or any sign of the other woman. He spun around, looking in all directions but couldnt see a thing. "Sparkle gone. Woman too." He looked closely around where they were at for any sign of, well, just about anything. It was hard to see for the forest was so dark. He thought he saw a glimmer of something in one direction and patted Kliment then pointed in the direction he saw the glimmer. "Saw something."

Kliment nodded silently at Girisha, giving his shoulder a light pat. Looking to where he had pointed, he then proceeded that way, making sure the other was close. Once he had walked a bit, allowed some of the scenery to move around as he did, he began to see it, too; a glimmer, somewhere in the trees.
"I see it," he said suddenly, voice low. "Perhaps she didn't find it yet."
As they made their way toward it, he couldn't help but notice the change in the forest. It was gradual at first, but then, the change became obvious. The forest was turning grey the farther they walked. He wrinkled his brow, watching his step. "This isn't right."
