In his short lifetime, Khuluma couldn't remember anyone telling him a story before. Without parents or siblings, with friends of any kind aside from the Zebadie, there was no one to entertain him and try and cheer him up or thrill him with a tale. Not knowing any, he shrugged his shoulders.
"I've never been told a story before. I wouldn't know which ones I'd like. I'd like to think I'd like them all." But Khuluma wasn't stupid, and he was interested in one thing. "Do you know any god and goddess stories?" What did mortals think about them? It was bizarre to meet someone who knew you existed but thought you were hard to understand. He hardly thought he was that complex.

Kisa blinked at that. No one had ever told him stories before..? She thought that was ... kind of sad, really! Well, she'd just have to fix that right now.
Settling herself a little more comfortably, the older female thought for a moment. "All right... what about the story of ...." And she launched into a tale about a god who had fallen in love with a mortal lioness, and the children they had had together.
(( I didn't want to do something more specific so as not to step on any toes XD;;; ))

While he had never been told a story, he settled quickly into a listening stance, laying on the ground and setting his head upon his paws to listen. It was a dreamy story that the lioness recited, complete with voices and just the right amount of pauses for affect. She had a true skill with her speech and made the tale soft in it’s romance and bittersweet in the mortal and immortal conflict. When it had finally settled into it’s final conclusion, the mortal being taken up by the god into the skies where they loved together to this day, he looked up just to see. What did he know about all the god powers and what could have or was possible? For all he knew, he story might have had some fact, but sometimes fact wasn’t as important as long as you could be convincing. Kisa was convincing, and he decided that was enough for him.
Shuffling back up to his feet, he smiled at her. “You have a remarkable voice and talent for speaking. I’m very impressed, and that means a lot coming from me. You’re the best storyteller I have ever met.” Though he didn’t meet any storytellers until just now, but he was sure there would have been no equal wherever he did go. It was a shame he didn’t have any powers to grant her a blessing right now so he did what he could. He went over and gave her an affectionate hug. “Thank you. I enjoyed your story to the greatest extent.” Parting away from her, he smiled. "I bet that's just how that story happened, if not better. " Who needed to be fully true when you could craft a better story?

Kisa blinked slightly as the cub's speech almost became more formal. It didn't really make that much of a difference, but it was something that she noted. Smiling back at him, she returned his hug.
"Thank you. I'm glad that I was able to tell you a story!"

He had to admit, he wasn't the god of acting, and he tended to forget how to pretend to act. As much as he was trying to think as a young, mortal cub, he went right back to slip into old speaking patterns. Who could blame him? He was the God of Rethoric after all and was currently very swept up in the art of storytelling.
"It's the first one I ever heard. You have a remarkable talent. I should hope I manage to hear more stories in the future with such skill. I think I'd like to take a part in it sometime, but I have no stories to tell." If he had, he would try telling her one in exchange.

The cheeton smiled at that and bobbed her head a bit. "Well, you're welcome to tell that story to anyone you meet!" she offered. "After all, I believe that stories should be shared ... not hoarded to oneself. It makes things more interesting, don't you think?"
