"Don't be afraid to be yourself around me.." Mike said, voice gentle and rumbling softly. "I think you're lovely the way you are..." His strawberry blond hair fell over his face a bit, causing him to push it back. "You never have to worry about me not accepting you..."
{it's fine with me =o}

My. He was so charming. It took her breath away. She was lovely? Her eye's stared at him, half closed, in total awe and infatuation. Almost as if she were in a trance. For she didn't even realize she was gazing at him. Time felt like had stood still as he said those words. Once time resumed, her cheeks flushed once again, and she lowered her head to tuck under his chin. His arm's were so cozy. Much like a craddle. Her hiss seemed to start out of nothingness, barely growing loud. It immitated that of a shower of rain.

Mike rested his head on hers when she hissed, his gold and amethyst eyes halfway closed. "I will always be myself around you, too." His voice sounded almost like a purr. Why was he so happy around her? It felt like there was butterflies in his stomach. Time? What was time? Nonexistant to him, here in this field... Had he maybe found acceptance? Love? How could someone love him? He wasn't what you would expect in a good, average foxtaur man..

{Time skip}

The day was so fair and calm. A playful wind was bustling about as busy as the market was. Soft sapphire eyes gazed from the outer banks of the buzzing town. She desperatly wanted to join them. A feeling of warmth radiated from the crowd of people trading, buying and selling. Their voices even calmed her and made a giddy feeling over come her. Her scales had just been shed, and a new layer glistened as bits of the sun peeked upon it. It was more sleek and smooth, and she felt rather proud. Perhaps they wouldn't mind if she came in. Her eyes traveled down to her lower body, a look of disappointment as she saw her tail. It coiled slowly underneath her, winding neatly. She sighed quietly, her brows furrowed. Dipping her head in a defeated manner her hair slipped to cover her face. The stripe across her eyes helped to hide her narrowed pupils. "Why must I be such a beast..?" she whispered to herself, in more of a hiss. She was hidden in a large amount of brush outside the market, full of trees and bushes. No one would be able to see her unless they were outside of the festivities. That's how she wanted it. Long claw like fingers wrapped around her biceps, hugging herself. Hanging her head down, her tongue flickered out lazily, in a deppressed fashion. "Why did I have to be born a Naga..?"

Michael was traveling silently, inspecting the marketplace from the outskirts of the forest. He had always hated big crowds, and found himself much more comfortable just avoiding the whole thing. But... he needed more supplies.
Slowly, he took a step towards the crowd only to take a few steps back into the shadows. What a frustrating situation... Hearing a soft rustle and a sigh, his ears flicked up and towards the sound. It had stood out to him under the loudness of the marketplace. Slowly, he turned towards the brushes, not running away from the others this time...
"Hello?" he asked softly, unsure about moving the brush to see what or who is there.

A light gasp came from the female, making her body flinch at hearing another's voice. Oh no... Curling further back, she slunk the opposite direction in which the other was positioned. She was in no position to be rejected or rocked today... Body low to the ground, and slithering as quietly as possible, she tried to make her way back to where a river surely lay; as most marketplaces were built around them, she'd come to realize. Maybe if she just kept to herself, there wouldn't be any cause for commotion.

Mike felt the need to follow the sound of the other who was moving away from him. "I'm not going to hurt you, I promise." His tracking instincts kicked in, and he followed almost effortlessly. He could see where the ground had been disturbed ever so slightly to keep the trail. Why were they running away? There was no way it could just be any animal...
