"Thank you so much I don't get that often," said Sysyphus swimming towards her, glad the dirt was out of his face, "I mean about being beautiful." He couldn't believe his own ears. She thought he was attractive! "I have to say you are quite beautiful yourself," he said happily.

"You're quite welcome," Selenium smiled and moved to float on her back. Her wings were outspread on the water, half submerged underneath the clear blue liquid. "I usually just say whats on my mind a lot, it's kind of hard not to," her cheeks reddened more at his words. He really thought she was beautiful too. Her heart fluttered at the thought, as she closed her eyes for a moment and felt any troubles she had, melt away. "Thank you too. I don't get that a lot either. You know today has turned to be a wonderful day."

"You know this turned out really well for me too," he said paddling over to her. He touched down his nose to hers and nuzzled her. After about ten seconds he paddled across the river and winked. He climbed onto the rocky shore and began to let himself dry off. "I hope you don't think I'm being too up front with her."

Selenium was shocked for a moment. She hadn't expected something like this to happen. Her gaze followed after him. The shocked expression was replaced with a smile and reddened cheeks. Twice today, that was a new record. Selenium never thought she could blush more than once. Wading across to shore, she climbed up the rocky surface and found a flat topped rock to lay on. She moved to a comfortable position on her side.
"It's fine, I've just never had this happen before. So I'm not sure where to go from here," she said honestly. "I really like you though. You're handsome and you seem like an artist of sorts," one wing was outspread and draped over her, shading her eyes from the sun. Her tail swayed back and forth. Selenium's eyes caught his, as she stared into them. She was looking for something. What she wasn't exactly clear on.

"You don't need to always know where to go from here," he said still grinning, "You can just were things go. Just take things slow and see if this is what you want." He hoped that she wasn't mad at him. "Give me second I need to get some things before we go to my cave.I hope you don't mind." He trotted past the bank and began to dig, be pulled up some mushrooms that were shaped strangely
he put them on the low point of his back so they wouldn't slide off. "I have everything else I need at home. If you still want to come, I'll make you a home cooked meal," He said doodling with his claws in the sand. He hoped this would work out for him. He had some trouble holding the last relationships he'd been in.

Selenium nodded, "I see. Okay, I wouldn't mind trying," she smiled and followed a few feet behind him. Her face twisted in amusement, as she studied the weird looking mushrooms. They were a sight she hadn't seen before.
"I didn't know those grew around here," Selenium bent her head down to sniff them. Wrinkling up her nose, she shook her head, "They don't smell so good," she brought her head back up and stretched her wings, getting ready to fly again. "I do, and I didn't know you cooked. Wow, you're talented, it's not often you meet a dragon that cooks."
Her mind was overflowing with worries she might do something wrong, or that she just wasn't right for this kind of stuff. Selenium didn't let it show and instead took a deep breath to try and pull herself together.

"Those are very special mushrooms, they're called morels. They are some of the tastiest foods to ever use in gormet cooking. They might not smell too nice but man you'll be surprised," he said excitedly.He spread his wings and began to drift into the air.

"Really? I'll take your word for it then," Selenium smiled, joining him in the air. "Then what're we waiting for, let's go!" Her wings snapped out to full length as she zoomed past him. Looking back, she threw a wink over her shoulder at him playfully. Selenium flew in circles here and there, soaring through the air and enjoying the freedom of the skies.
She came back to glide next to him, and glanced at the mushrooms sitting atop his back. "If I didn't know you had just picked those, I'd think you had mushrooms growing on your back," she joked. With him she felt safe, and she could be herself as well. Usually she kept her craziness bottled up around others, but Selenium felt he wouldn't mind it.

He laughed, "well at least it fits with the origin of my name. Mine's from a Pink Floyd song. So not far from any mention of shrooms," He spun about in the air heading to sandpainter canyon. "Follow me, my home is kind of hard to find."

His spin in the air was stunning, as she watched in amazement. Selenium giggled, feeling oddly bubbly. Personally she hated that trait in other painters. The main reason; they tend to be annoying. But she had enough sense not to be over the top with it. "Really now? I had no idea!" Selenium half joked, then added, "But really I had no idea. I've only heard so much music in my life, and I don't think I've heard Pink Floyd before," she said following him.

"I'll let you listen to some when we get to my home," he said still grinning,"we're nearly there just don't fly too far from me, there's not a lot of space to land on." He came up on the west side of the canyon. There was a small overhanging which at first didn't look like much. Sysyphus swooped down reveling that the overhang was big enough and deep enough to form a shelf. The hollowed out part of the canyon was clearly his home. It was inlaid with black volcanic glass, shells, and every once in awhile a shimmery blue stone. They were patterned like the surrounding landscape, canyons, coves, and volcanoes. In the floor there was a fire pit for cooking. The floor was made of black slate tile all hand cut in large perfect squares. Every inch of the place was in use, either to store cooking items or to keep vinel. "Be careful landing," he warned," It's a little tricky."

Selenium nodded and glided a couple of inches closer to him. As she came to the overhang, she pulled up a few feet. Looking down, she made sure her back claws were snug on the ground before she touched down all the way. Her wings were half way open in case she lost her footing, she'd be able to catch herself in the air. Selenium glanced around at his home in amazement. She was mere inches from him, as she landed on the small space.
"The walls are beautiful. Your home is beautiful," Selenium said taking a few steps in. The volcanic glass shone with a dull light, and reflected back the gleam of the surrounding stones. She noticed they were set in a pattern. "It looks like the landscape. Did you do all of this yourself?" Selenium asked both curious and intrigued by him.

"Yes with a little help from a few of my friends. I'm good at making the patterns but not so much creating images with them," he began to prepare the mushrooms for cooking. "Would you like a nice steak or something else?"

((You know what I just noticed? They haven't told each other their names xDD))
"Wow, you have a real artistic touch though. Even if you had help," Selenium sat with her wings partially open, as she watched him prepare the mushrooms. "Hmm, steak sounds good. I can't wait to try your cooking," she smiled and glanced back at the stones. Her eyes studied each one. They were beautiful to say the least, and really added character to his home, not to mention him as well. "Would you like any help?" Selenium asked turning back to him.

(ya they did after Sysyphus crashed)
"Ya ya can you make sure this pan and make sure it simmers," he said passing her a pan he held by the handle in his mouth, "I'll be putting the steaks in as soon as it simmers." He said as he began to marinate the strange looking mushrooms. "Have you done any cooking like this before?"
