Koishii thought about it for a moment, knowing that if she really wanted to get home soon, she should head to the docks. She really ought to go see her pack again... And Kasei. It had been far too long. But then again, in front of her stood a different kind of her family. A single Kuniku she had helped teach to fly, to tread through snow... What kind of guardian would she be, if she didn't accompany Sazanami through the day to catch up? Besides... She needed to keep her company. Deep down, something told her that the younger Kuniku needed it today, and Koishii was not one to deny her gut feeling. She shook her head, smiling softly.
"I have no need to go to Hokkaido this very instant." Shii chuckled softly to herself, her tail beginning to wag again. "I've been gone for almost two years... I'm sure everyone can wait another day, so I can catch up with you, Saza." She leaned forward again and nuzzled Sazanami's cheek again, smiling brightly. Around them, the flowers picked up her mood change and began to bloom in the early morning, white, pink, and orange petals mirroring the sun rise sky.
"Besides," Koishii stood and stretched downward, grunting a little. "I've been traveling across the islands this whole time. I'm sure a little walk to get some food won't kill me." She nodded happily and yawned.

A little smile appeared, and Sazanami's tail began to wag. "You won't regret this meal, I promise." She stood and turned to face the direction that would take them toward Maizoukin, her whole body seemed to express just how happy she was that Koishii had chosen to come with her. To be honest, Saza had been feeling a little gloomy for the past couple of hours. She blamed it on lack of good sleep, but she knew it was more than that; her new family brought her happiness, but also some stress. Koishii's appearance had brightened her mood greatly, and since it was a new day Sazanami was sure the rest of the day would also be good.
"It's this way." She said, before leading the way for Koishii. The place that she had in mind for breakfast was a small, family owned restaurant. It usually only had a few customers in the morning, but Saza knew that it would be open early for business because of her familiarity with the place; the family really appreciated her coming there, so they always fed her well. As she walked, Saza noticed that the forest was beginning to come alive with the sounds of birdsong and small animals beginning their routine foraging. The scent of green grass and freshly bloomed flowers was in the air, and Saza's smile didn't leave her face. "You're probably going to miss all of this once you get back to Hokkaido." She said to Koishii, although she knew that the beauty of the snow and the peaceful aura of Hokkaido was hardly comparible to what was around them now.

Happily, Koishii followed Sazanami with a small smile on her face. It pleased her to see how well the younger Kuniku had grown up, even if she wasn't there to watch Saza herself. She chuckled slightly at the subtle change in mood as the tri-coloured creature padded ahead of her, tail wagging in joy. It wasn't as if Sazanami had been depressed before, but it was quite obvious to Koishii just how happy her answer had made her. It also amused her, as they walked, when she noticed how the roles had been automatically switched over a few moons. The last time she had seen Sazanami, Shii had been the one leading her places to get food. Not the other way around. She chuckled slightly, not minding the switch whatsoever.
"It is certainly beautiful here, Saza," Koishii took a deep breath, able to smell several blooming flowers at once. One of the scents struck her fancy (quite possibly honeysuckle), and she exhaled with a little giggle, sending the morning flowers into a frenzy of blooming. "And I will most definitely miss all the flowers, you know. Only a few grow on Hokkaido... And they're not nearly as strong smelling as these." She paused to listen to the lonely call of the mourning dove, and it reminded her heavily of home. "But I love the snow. It makes things quiet, and it feels surreal." She chuckled, shaking her head. "I'm sure you already know that. You grew up there, after all."
