Angel of the End that's wonderful ^^ it kinda sucks... not being able to dress "normal" for yourself, without going out, getting mocked, the person at the cafe where you get your coffee obviously nervous no matter how much you say "sweetie", "darling", or "please" and "thank you"... or if you have the latest issue of Voice of Martyrs magazine in your arms along with Gothic Beauty and your sketch book.... yeah....That makes things awkward for me when i go somewhere with one of my parents even. People look at me like "what's this goth chick doing hanging with a normal person?" Except for when I go to Hot Topic with mom. Then everyone stares at her like she's the freak and it's funny. ((And on the Voice of the Martyrs, I read this month's issue and it's way messed up. ._. ))

((Same here about the voice or martyrs issue. But it was really good, we just need to offer them our support.))

ugh... and parents that will get on you non-stop, pratically everyday, and even punish you for wearing black.... for basically four years now, that is how long I've been dealing with the gag-causing parential reaction and misunderstanding, for years of my lifetime...

Same here girl. I've also been recieving the same stuff from my senile grandmother and grandfather as well. And they don't live anywhere near me either, as you quite well know.

You need to show them the gothic charm school episodes, and the gothic christian website 3nodding also, I found these two websites that show you can still be goth and get a good job and be successful (actually, me and noah saw a chick in her mid 20s or older working at Dillards the other day ^^ dressed in all black, red framed glasses, lots of beautiful tattoos done in black and other deep colors)) http://www.waningmoon.com/corpgoth/http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2006/mar/21/fashion1

It's true! I'm actually at a corporate job, and I can still get away with gothing out the usual business attire; thank you Lady of the Manners!
By the way, I'm new to the guild, so hello to all! I'm in love with the place already... *Gazes off dreamily into the distance*

*Returns the wave* Heeeyyyyy! So, what kind of Goths do we have in here? Trads? Cybers? Romantics? As mentioned, I'm a Corp Goth myself; there's just something about a black power suit with a red silk tie that just gets me...

I have interests from EGA, EGL, Trad, Victorian, and Cyber, myself... Let's see, we have (as of known) 3 people with interests in the guild, 1 steampunk, and 1 Victorian.
