A rare genuinely soft smile was offered to the brunette as she gave her hand a light pat. She was grateful that the girl understood, even though she didn't know the whole story. At a certain key word, the woman groaned slight, rolling her metallic eyes. "Please don't say that. I'm far too young to be anyone's mum. Even a Raevan's."
Ebony raised a brow at the red head. Was he angry that she'd admitted to not being sure how to raise a Raevan? Whoever said honesty was the best policy obviously hadn't met Prajna. So in an attempt to keep him happy, she would act like it only took that to convince her and dispel any of her former worries. It wasn't fair to burden them with her concerns anyhow.
With another smile, "You are absolutely correct Prajna. Thank you. I will do what you say." Turning to Namini while pointing to a lilac colored nail polish that a tech was holding up along with many other colorful bottles. "Such a wise Raevan you have." Compliments never hurt either.

Prajna did what looked like a sage's nod of understanding as Ebony praised it. Of course it was right. How could one not be so thankful and exuberant to be receiving one of Prajna's kind?
"Ohh Prajna, pick a color for your nails" Namini cooed as she pointed out a shimmering turquoise nail polish from her attendee's case. Then she pointed out a dark purple, one that could almost pass as black. "Can I do one finger purple and one teal? Almost like a checker pattern?"
The staff member nodded and Namini beamed. Prajna on the other hand was concentrating very hard now. Which color..
"This."
The Frei picked out an interesting blue, one that seemed a shade lighter than its eyes. It smiled, proud at its choice.
"So Ms. Ebony, what kind of soul does your Frei have?" Namini continued lightly, Prajna's ears perking. ...Soul? What was this about a soul? These..they..Prajna's kind had souls? The flame panicked a bit, though refused to show it on its face. It thought only humans had souls. There had been many documentaries on television about souls and the dangers that went with possessing one..

"Uh, well..." The soul. It was always the soul everyone was so interested in. She really did not want to think about her Raevan's soul anymore than she wanted to stick her tongue in a light socket, but there was never a good way of getting out of it. She looked to Prajna, wondering if it knew about the nature of its kind. How they were created? She'd known of some guardians who were opposed to telling their charges because they thought they were too young and wanted to protect them. Maybe Namini wasn't the kind to tip toe around the subject.
"It's a...snake soul. Well, a basilisk to be exact." She quickly replied before suddenly acting as if the crimson Frei's shade choice was the best thing since sliced bread. "Oooo, such a pretty color Prajna! It matches your eyes!" She gushed before giving the Raevan a wink. "Excellent choice. I'm a little jealous for having not picked it myself."
