Khack raised his sword out of the ground and placed it at his side. "Calm down, I mean no harm to you all..." he said, looking up at the sky.

Smokestar growled and said fiercely, "Vengeance? On children? You sick beast! Begone with yourself and crawl back to your hole!" She placed a protective hand on the both children and whispered to them, "Get back further. These creatures aren't friendly."

Khack sighed. "I mean no harm to your 'children' as you call them," he said, "I do not know who to get vengeance on, but I wish to avenge Veran and Onox. I would never sink so low as to do what they did, however. Also, I would like to know if you have any goals so we may assist each other." He was silent for a moment. "However, if you wish for a fight, I will gladly oblige..."

Smokestar whispered to the little Zora boy, "Don't sink to his level. Just stay put, alright?" She turned back to the Twili creature and hissed, "A partnership? With you? NEVER! Creatures like you almost destroyed the land of Hyrule!" And she thought fondly to herself, "Until that boy in the green tunic came and lifted the curse...". She shook herself from the thought and came back to the situation at hand.
