 Nightshade's Fury was strangely interested in the other's growing bravery or attempt to -- it was just so cute -- and couldn't help but grin wildly. He doesn't intend to look like a maniac especially when he smiles so pleased.
"Maybe you should be then."

Letho took a step away from him, pivoting her body towards his to stare directly at him for a third time.
She was slightly taken aback by his frightening grin but pressed on regardless.
"If I must be your anything then you must be my shadow." she replied rather sarcastically, enough so to surprise even herself.

He continued to grin and stepped closer to her until his nose pressed against her and then slid back along side of her, rubbing his furry body against her, swaying his long splayed tail back and forth.
"Mmm, like this?"

Letho flinched again when Nightshade's Fury's nose touched her, and again when he rubbed against her body. A slight pang of envy for his tail passed through her but passed when suddenly she felt as if she was being marked.
She stepped back, or attempted to anyway. Instead she slipped and, for the second time since meeting the fox-pony, she fell on her behind. A gentle cry of pain escaped her muzzle and she carefully shuffled backwards.
The blush that has previously been in her cheeks flared back to life, flustered from the physical contact and embarrassed by her fall, it was clearly visible this time around.

Nightshade's Fury chuckled, and then smile as he noticed the flushed face of the now fallen pony. He wondered just how often this mango coloured pony would blush just to have it go unnoticed due to the shade of her hide.
"I do believe you're falling for me," he said with a light growl and double meaning.

Letho's eyes narrowed, though it was an action only partially visible behind her mask that had fallen over her eyes slightly.
She used one hoof to push it back into place as best she could and stood. "Well maybe if you'd stop frightening me I would stop falling."
The double meaning had clearly been lost on her as she really had no idea what he meant. Ah, pure innocence.

He almost fell over laughing. Oh, just classic. She completely missed it, didn't she? He thought. It was pretty apparent she did.
Regaining his composure and when he stopped laughing he said, "I only did what you told me to."

She watched, rather curiously, as he laughed and laughed.
Letho had a feeling that he was laughing at her expense but could not be bothered by it.
She ignored his comment and instead decided she might be able to get home, after all.
"Where are we?" she asked, looking around rather quickly.
"I don't know this area. I'm afraid I am lost." her original panic returned; being lost was never pleasant. Especially when alone with something that you still weren't sure if it would eat you or not.

He looked at her and then carefully scanned the area to the right, and left and then front and up to the sky as if he was getting his barrens and then he looked back at her. "We are together," he said with a grin.
"And I found you, so you're not lost."

She glared again, feeling no less at ease. "That is not comforting to me." she insisted.
"I still do not know what you plan to do." her panic hiked her voice up a few octaves as she spoke, she was nervous for multiple reasons and it was difficult for her to not start screaming and crying, again... But she did not want to be eaten OR to be lost, least of all with a predator.

"Oh, what's the worst that could happen? I take a bite, choke and die? You walk away with one less leg..." I guess he really wasn't helping, but he didn't seem to notice or care.

Letho shivered and took another step away from the more and more terrifying fox-pony.
"Do you torment every... potential meal you see?" she asked rather bluntly.

Just the cute ones, he thought. "Where's the fun if I don't play with my food?" He seemed to grin sinisterly and stepped towards her. If she ran suddenly, he'd catch her just as all shadows did. You could try forever but you'd never get away. It would always be a step behind or ahead of you.

She shook her head and, though she was rather terrified, she stood her ground. Or maybe she wasn't standing her ground and was more like a deer staring into headlights. Whatever it was she stood there, unsure of exactly what to do as she was not sure if he was joking or not.
So she simply tried again, her voice less shaky and not as high-pitched as before. "Where," she began, "are we?"

"I already told you. You're here with me: under this patch of oak and on this soft grass, as your a** knows so well now." Even if he told her specifics, it isn't like she'd know where to go from there.
