((WTF, SIN? Scary a** avie you have there))
In a flash, Loosejaw sunk like a stone to the bottom of the sandy waters. Eating was serious business. He heard Grace's stomach growl, fueling the need for speedy matters. Mentally he broke down the most efficient way of procuring the food down to each nanosecond. He gave one final squeeze of the sand to get his claws ready before eying the other demon up and down, unsure if another presence would aid the fetching process or slow him down. And then like cupid sending arrows from above, the revelation hit him. She was a pirate. Grace, of course, had already mentioned this several times but he didn't grasp the magnitude of such a confession. This meant she was well versed in .. how did she put it? "relieving others of their property." Then they were all set. Maybe they will get along despite the awkward property business in the beginning.
With great circumstance he started. "For protein we have the options of oysters or fish. I can eat either raw, but for oysters we would fair better if we ventured further up the shore for some lemongrass and citrus. There are some coconut trees, and near them some fruit. I saw a papaya along the shoreline. Then there's the matter of if we need a fire, or not." The more he thought about food, the more hungry he became. Swimming tired him out. With a side glance he finished off with, "I'm not sure if there's rum on this island or not."

Her stomach growled more as he talked about food, she was quite hungry. "Raw or cooked, it matters not to me, we can manage either way, aye? You get the fish and such, I can handle the others."
She looked around. "Scurvy, where are you? Come help, you!" An orange winged ball of energy flitted to her, and she pointed a claw down to the shore. "See if you can't roll that papaya he saw over here. I'll handle the coconuts."
Looking back to Loosejaw, she shrugged. "I like Rum, but I get enough when hanging out with my human. It's not necessary right now. Coconut milk will be just as good." Flicking her hat off and aside on the sand, she strode with purpose towards the palm trees.

With nothing left but to play with himself and his familiar, Loosejaw got down to business to defeat the Huns ordering about his own winged demon. It was shaped like a jellyfish, and moved fluidly through the water. Like a miniature killer whale it herded the fish to a hidden Loosejaw. His coloring made stalking in the waters a delightful endeavor Darwin would be proud of. By the time Scurvy and Grace finished their tasks they had caught enough fish. Grabbing some real seaweed, Loosejaw weaved a makeshift knapsack for the familiar to hold for the fish. He instructed for it to make its way towards Grace while he swam to the alcove.
Round and round the demon swam, careful to float and paddle so he wouldn't cut himself on the oyster's sharp edges. The waves crashed down menacingly but the oysters were no match for his newly sharped claws. In a not so graceful manner he ripped a dozen oysters from their bed and shucked them onto a piece of floating driftwood. Delicately bitting onto the wood, he paddled to shore until he was able to stand in which he shifted positions. He greeted Grace, "What say you? Should we build a fire?"

Having relieved the nearby trees of their coconuts (I've got a lovely bunch~), Grace had rolled several over to a spot on the beach, while her familiar had managed the papaya and gotten some other nearby fruits as well. Also, while Loosejaw had been fishing, she'd decided to assault a few crabs on the beach, and a few lay cracked and broken by the coconuts.
"Fine by me. It's easy enough to do, what with the dry driftwood around, and our claws upon some rocks should spark the stuff easily." She got right down to it, when there were things to be done, and she was obviously excited about the meal, even when she had been wanting nothing but to relax before. There would be time enough for that later.

Loosejaw instructed his easily excitable familiar to prepare the fish. Guts thrown out, it was about time to feast. Grace and Scurvy had prepped and started the fire. He placed the seafood on top of the wood and set to squeezing citrus here and there. Ten minutes passed and it was ready to FEAST.
Loosejaw could see Grace was hungry, too. He had been squelching his growling stomach. While he was shredding some lemongrass he remembered something. "Hey, after you eat, wanna go to a waterfall? They have some interesting mushrooms there?" He delicately extracted an oyster from its shell. "Damn, no pearl."

It smelled delicious. She had not been able to contain her stomachs growls as the food cooked, and was already working on a crab leg as he opened the oyster. Maybe she'd have better luck with treasure in her own later. She put a thoughtful look on her face at his question as she swallowed, though tilted her head at him a little. "Mushrooms, huh? That might have gone well with the meal, anyway.."

Loosejaw was drinking an oyster's liquor and saw magical stars. This must be what heaven's like. Not that demons of his or Grace's ilk would ever know. But bliss was pretty damn close. To continue with the liquid consumption he cracked open a coconut and drank, careful to not eat too much of the meat just yet. Coconuts had a laxative effect.
"The waterfall's a bit away, though. Quite a noticeable hike and I reckon we were too ravenous to wait. The waterfall's neat. You can do some real damage with cannonballs there, that is if you're game." Loosejaw winked as he passed his coconut on for an orange. Peeling it, he handled it to his waiting familiar. "Crabs" he stated simply before devouring one. Yum-o.

Grace squeezed some citrus over her fish before devouring what was left of them along with her seafood, and had a few bites of papaya along with it. Reaching for another crab leg she tilted her head at him.
"Do you know if there are any truffles up there? My human has introduced me to those and chocolates and I dare say I'm addicted..."

"So..." Loosejaw mulled over this thought before continuing as he ate another oyster. "You and your human.. are you pirates that loot for... truffles?" He sincerely hoped not. He was hoping Grace had some jewels of worth, like diamonds, so he could ask to borrow a diamond to this piece of obsidian he saw. He wanted to make it into a necklace and well, diamonds were the strongest naturally occurring extant item. Yes. He could see it now. Perhaps an upside down cross or a voluptuous lady bent over. He saw those a lot in the magazines his human would try to hide.
He totally forgot about the papaya until he saw Grace eating it. He grabbed a few slices and squeezed limes before eating half and using the rest to mash it up onto an impromptu face mask. There. While he was eating and relaxing, no reason for him to not give his face a rest, too. Papaya was great for that. He didn't care what Grace thought. After all, she was a pirate who looted mushrooms. Probably was a drug pusher, too. He snorted.

"Oh, no, but when you plunder and loot as much as we do, it's easy to have expensive tastes in cuisine..." Sometimes they paid for such delicacies.. sometimes they didn't. >]
She eyed him smearing papaya mush onto his face as she fed some crab meat to her familiar, and blinked. "You are an odd one, you know that? Good waste of papaya, why would you want to wear it on your face?"

Although Loosejaw was full, his stomach growled. Fine cuisines, eh? Grace didn't seem like she was talking about frozen foods or MREs. Perhaps even pink sea salt or colored salt.
"Papaya's good for the skin. I don't want to look old and haggard like... you know how sea salt dries out the skin" he grinned. "It's got antioxidants and vitamins and blah blah blah. Here try some." Of course he knew better than to put some directly onto Grace's face. He didn't want to lose an eye to match. He chucked it, hoping it would land on her face.

"I don't worry about such things, and so far, I've had no problems with life at sea." She hoped he wasn't trying to imply anything, for HIS sake. She narrowed her eye a little as he spouted out odd words, and barely flinched away in time as he tossed the stuff at her. It hit her familiar instead, who instantly shook it off, buzzing his little wings furiously, and squeaking angrily at Loosejaw before flying off.
She gave Loosejaw a level look before watching Scurvy fly off with a slight smirk.
