Salazar listened to thier conversation and though about what he needed to do now that he was out. At that point she flashed into his mind. His sister. He hadn't even spoke to her in years, he would have to see her first. At the note of his sister Salazar's face changed. His scowl that he wore faded to a small smile and he felt very light all of a sudden. "I don't mean to interupt, But I would like to know what I am here for. If you don't mind telling me of course."

"I see." Edward stared at the ground. "I doubt that anyone is here anymore. If they were alive they would have gone on to other places."

Zai looked at Salazar. "You can feel free to go. She might of even hired me, I don't know. But if you're alive, or if you are anywhere you are, there's always a reason." A moment of silence later, she lifted her head from her hands and again turned her attention to Edward, not sure how to respond, but a side of her came up that has long vanished in the coldness and lonliness. "Things... have been peaceful, right? If they are at other places... they're happy. If they died, they were happy... because they had everything you guys worked for, right?"

Edward nodded, "Yes, you are right. Its just being gone for so long, and the realization of actually coming back and nobody you know, all your friends and loved ones gone without knowing if they are alive or dead. I know my adopted son is dead, after all he was human."

She shrugged. "I'm only human, there again... I've always been pretty messed up." Zai grinned, still finding this just a bit amusing. "Anyways, we all thought you were dead or retired or something."

"Well, I guess thats the bonus of being half vampire. Not being able to die easily. Actually I was wondering around Haven, trying to come to terms with everything that happened. I didn't think it would take near 200 years."

"Yeah." Zai said simply, shrugging her shoulders. Then, feeling the need to tell him for some reason, asked. "Do you... know why I'm still alive?"

She chuckled, and said, "Well, you are certainly a good person. There's a good reason for you. For me? I tried to drink mercury to die rather than be arrested and executed, and instead, went through painful hell and hid myself in some cabinents to escape. Guess those alchemists were on to something, huh?"

Salazar got up to go. As he began to walk away he felt a twinge of pity for Edward. A human emotion that he couldn't never seem to afford. Neither of them had a home or had the slightest idea of where thier loved ones were. Somehow they were in the same boat. "Maybe I'll wait a bit before I decide to go. After all I do owe you...Zai right?"

"Yeah." Edward was quiet for a few seconds. "Hey who is in charge of the RCS and have they fallen back to their old ways or what?"

Zai stood up and walked over to Salazar, and said simply, "Sure. You can move in if ya want, both of you, if ya got nowhere to go. Besides, you and Edward were roomies, and I can guarentee you that my flesh isn't exactly edible." She gave him a knowing and joking look, showing she really didn't care about whatever he had done. Then, turning again to Edward, she mentioned, "No one. The RCS has everything so peaceful, it is run by the general public."

Edward smiled for the first time in a while. "Thats good news. That is how it should be, the public guarding the public."

Salazar smiled at the idea. "That would be nice, after all I have no place to go." He looked down at his clothing which was stained and ragged. He would have to grab some new clothes when he visited his sister. "Oh and I don't kill women, just so you know." He said with a soft smile. "Oh and Edward, I would like to say sorry for earlier. I was a bit angry being in that cell."
