Night's smile broke into a grin.
Now some may perceive Night as a buck who's eyes saw only what his heart did. His eyes wandered between various does, their beautiful pelts, their movements, their eyes. But as with one who studied others, he picked up much more than just their outer layers. And this particular doe before him, he suspected, quite a few layers beneath.
He wanted so badly to skip to the end, to that kiss, to her mouth on his, to her very proximity driving him insane. He chuckled a throaty laugh. No. He had to go through the motions first. Always the gentleman. Motions first, actions after.
He gave her a throaty chuckle. He walked toward her, each black hoof lifted with deliberate slowness. "Simon Says..." he whispered into her left ear, then paced around her, making sure his body brushed against hers, his tail curling around her legs. Then leaned forward to whisper in her right ear. "Walk in a circle."

A shudder passed through Mimic's body as he drifted by. The fireflies buzzed in lazy circles around them both, the hum from their wings making her mind pleasantly fuzzy. Their muted light cast shadows along Night's coat, shadows that seemed to flicker and dance along him, making his colours come alive. Mimic was always so careful around bucks, never getting too close, forever wary. This one though... she liked this one. What's the harm in a little fun? A kiss does not mean I love him. She thought on this, wondering if she could really move her head and heart aside and just play his silly little game. That's right, meaningless fun. Her decision made she tilted her head to a flirty angle, and lowering her eyes demurely she circled around him, her body always in contact with his. Like that? She asked in a teasing and sultry voice. She posed for a moment, her eyes dancing with amusement as she let go of all her worries. Or like this? She murmured as she leaned in close, she waited with her eyes mere inches from him for a moment before gently kissing him. As she pulled back, she spun and looked over her shoulder, taking a few steps away, her tail swishing lazily, she spoke. Simon says: follow me. A silly little game indeed....
