I spent some time working at a probation/parole place with the PO who deals with sex offenders. She has about ten furries in her caseload, and they were all of the fursuit variety. And I wasn't referring to sex when I said "interesting activities"...trust me, I've seen the real thing.

Being a furry of the "fursuit variety" I can say that it's a bit insulting to say that ALL furries do those sorts of activities. From what I've notices, the only reason fursuiters get noticed so much is because they are more noticable. Like I said before, about 5% of fursuiters do activities like that in their suits. Do you have any idea how much those suits cost? I do, and me and most other suiters will tell you, there is NO way in Hell they are going to do anything sexual in them. They are too hard to clean, too hot and too uncomfortable.
You can't judge the whole of us on the 10 in your casefile. Thats like saying all priests rape kids...
Its also pretty rude to answer a "what is a furry" question that way. After all, don't forget the 95% of us who aren't on the sex offender list. It gives the wrong impression to say that all furries do what you stated, when in fact that is very much overinflated information. If you have a negative view on furries, that is fine, but it is still unfair to judge a whole group over the actions of a just a few fringe members that even us furries usually shun.

Something interesting here. About a month ago I "came out" to a roleplaying-buddy who I only knew from D&D sessions two of my friends were in. I did it "sideways", actually, as we were with one of those two friends talking about metaphysics (who I'd already told about it), and I mentioned it at the start of a longer thought about my knowledge of metaphysics, and he immediately accuses me of being a furry. I was pretty annoyed at him for that one, especially since it was basically me saying that I was a "therian" and he immediately interrupts to say "What's your FURSONA?", and then wouldn't shut up about it for a minute. I don't have a problem with furries, but there's a big difference, and it's annoying when people cross those lines.

I don’t identify with the furry fandom or consider myself a furry, but I do have to say I do love a lot of media (art, books, movies) which have anthropomorphized animals or ‘talking animals’ as characters. I just don’t see them as enough to really outright identify as a furry for me personally is all. I just identify as a therian.

Let's please try and refrain from any trolling of the furry fandom here please. We all know furries did not do the WTC. Those types of comments are not appreciated and if you personally dislike furries, it is not very hard to avoid topics about them. Thank you.

Hey man, trolling's what I DO! I see you're pulling out the 'Fursecuted' attitude here, however, people have said things to put you into it over the last page, so fair enough. And of course, furries did not do WTC, that was Obama.

I have never been persecuted for my hobby, it is only a hobby after all, and again, if you personally dislike furries, that is your choice. I simply ask that you refrain from trolling of any kind in this guild, not just this thread, and not just about furries. If you wish to troll elsewhere, that is your choice and I do not care. Thank you.

Of course it is, the co-admin is one of the most notorious trolls in the therian community. And who says trolling can't be a part of serious discussion? Emii Cat theres this guy who says he was a tiger in a past life he has a full tiger stripe tattoo, inplanted whiskers, plastic surgury to look like a tiger, and a mechanical tail that moves along with his motion. and much more im sure.. DUDE!...i saw that somewhere on some tv program!!! but i saw it such a long time ago...
