I don't know I loved the movie myself, ya sure it really did cut out alot of important scenes from the book but other than that it was great, Fred and George's fight was great, and same with the ferret scene, thier were alot of great scenes and then there were some that were cheesy, but allwell it happens in movies all the time

KiranSirain What was said in the first post is funny cuz i've heard the exact opposite everyone i've talked to has loved the movie yes they cut a lot but 800+ pages doesn't fit nicely into2 and a half hours so it's only natural!! my friends didnt like it, they were disapointed with it.

Ditto. I wasn't exspecting tit o be perfect... but they skimmed all the important sceens and made the plot hard to follow. that ruined it, in my opinion.

rikkari1 I didn't think it was that bad. You expect it to be JUST LIKE THE BOOKS. I hope they keep the same director for the last three movies, he did a great job on this one.

I think it was good. But it went a little too fast sometimes...

Did anyone see it in Imax? I have not seen it yet ( crying ), but when I do, that's where I'm going to see it. I want to know if it's any better than the average screening. heart

I liked it, but I thought the beginning went WAY to fast. I did think most scenes with Ron were funny, and Neville's face when he 'Kills' Harry blaugh ... Even though I didn't like some things, I still think it's the best of the four. The first two were very good in bringing the books to life, but they lacked inteligence (in my eyes) and I thought the third was just a real CĂșaron (? I never remember the guy's name) movie. It was more art than a HP movie. And about Mr. Crouch... I thought he looked even more like Hitler than that guy that played Remus.... redface

I loved it, but the non-book-reading audience might have some trouble following it.

I can't remember what she said, but in the scene where McGonagall is teaching Ron to ballroom dance, and Fred or George says "Try saying that five times fast," and they do. That was my favorite part, and I really want to know what it was!

I completely agree. There were so many key points that they SHOULD have touched on. And some scenes i really wanted to see on film and they werent there either. It was crap.
Like the depiction of Madame Maxine, Sirius in the fire, Hermiones Dress, Moody's eye, The age line.
i know im being picky, but artistic liscence should only go so far. I felt like i was in the middle of a game of 'whats wrong with this picture'!
And Hermione was WAY too whiney in this movie. i dont remember her being such a baby.

you guys have to remember this was a two and a half hour long movie. They got in all the key points I believe, and I hope they'll have plenty of deleted scenes when the DVD comes out. You can only fit so much into a movie.
